The Arabesque in C major, Op. 18, is a short piano piece by Robert Schumann, which he composed in Vienna in 1839.

Like his Blumenstück (Flower Piece), Op. 19, he dedicated it to Friederike Serre, an important patron of the arts who invited musicians and poets to her estate near Dresden and had supported the relationship between the composer and Clara Wieck.

The title Arabesque once again hints at the nature of the piece, which has something ornamental and pleasingly decorative about it, with a heartfelt, simple melody surrounded by delicate figures.
