Join our curators as we look at the Northern Renaissance paintings on display in the King's Closet at Windsor Castle.

The King's Closet, once a private space, now showcases a jewel-like picture hang of Northern Renaissance art, including works such as Hans Holbein the Younger's striking portrait of Derich Born and Albrecht Dürer's Portrait of a Lady and her son.

Also on display is a painting by a key figure in the German Renaissance Lucas Cranach the Elder. Purchased by Prince Albert in 1846 the painting depicts Apollo and Diana, highlighting their roles with a sky reflecting their characteristics.
