Gillo GF Barebow Riser Review ｜ Almost Got it Perfect

The Gillo GF is one of the nicest barebow risers I’ve set up and shot, from the excellent fit and finish, to the optimized geometry that makes string walking less of a struggle, it’s one of the best suited risers I’ve tested for barebow archery.

✅ The Good:
• High-quality machining and finish with very few flaws
• Longer lower half design makes it stable and forgiving for barebow
• Easily adjustable weight tunnels for balance and customization
• One of the steadiest aiming risers I’ve used

⚠️ The Bad:
• Like other Gillo risers, the limb fit and lateral adjustment system can be frustrating. If you tighten things properly, removing limbs becomes impossible without loosening adjustments, a design flaw that really holds this riser back imho.

Overall, the Gillo GF is an excellent barebow riser with thoughtful design, but it still suffers from the same limb removal issue Gillo hasn’t solved yet.
