Hey guys, it's Dino. Today we are going to start with the endgames, really simple endgames,
and we are gonna continue to more complex ones. As you can see, we have two queens on the board,
and probably most of you know this stuff, but let's show this for those really, I guess,
lowest beginners or just players who are starting out. So how do we do this?
It is really simple. We try to cut off the king and to put him to the first rank on any rank that
this is first rank, this is also the first rank, I mean, to the edge of the board.
So first, you use one of your queens to cut the king, so he cannot go,
so he cannot escape here. So first, let's say you go with the queen, it is black to move,
and you go with the queen here. So now, black king cannot go here. And after, maybe he moves here,
you try to get him to here, and how do you do this? You can play queen here. So you just
you go up, up, up with the pieces, you go, you take this row from him, and then you take this
row from here, and when he goes here, what do you do? Of course, you take another row for him
from here, push him, push him, and then he's on the last row, line, I'm not sure how it's called,
and you checkmate him. So it's really, really easy. How do you do it with the rook?
Let me put rooks on the board instead, or rook and the queen. So let's say we have rook here,
we have queen, we have, of course, the king, and his king is somewhere here, for example.
And how do we do this? He can go here, so first of all, we cut that row,
we don't allow him to go here, and after he goes maybe here, how do we continue? Of course,
we cut another row from him, now he maybe moves here, we go another, we just go up, up, up, up,
and of course, make sure that he cannot take our pieces, as you'll see with the rooks, you should
be a little bit careful. So he goes here, we go another row, up, and checkmate. So hopefully,
that is really easy, so you just go up, up, and don't allow him to go down, just push him,
push him up to the edge of any of this row. And the last one, I'm gonna show you with two rooks,
and here you should be a little bit more careful, but it is pretty simple. So we have two rooks
here, for example, his king is maybe here, and you have, of course, your king here, and then
how do you do this? Of course, you cannot go here, because he's gonna take you,
you go with this rook here, you cannot go down, so he maybe goes here, take another rook,
you take another row from him, he goes there, and then it is a mistake to go here, of course,
because he's gonna take your rook, instead, you go as far as you can from him, so you can check
him. For example, he goes here, and mistake would be, of course, you would make this mistake, but
mistake would be to think that you are pushing him up, if you play this move, but he doesn't
have to play up, you can go down, and then you have to again do the same thing. Instead, what do
you do? You cannot check him here, so you go as far as you can again from here, and try to check
him here, and continue checking him, and pushing him up. So let's say he plays here, this row is
taken, so you're trying to take another row from him, he goes there, this row is taken, and you go
another row, and checkmate. And it's a pretty elementary, it's a pretty basic stuff. In the next
video, I'm gonna show you how to checkmate him with the queen and your king, and only with one
rook and your queen. So that's a little bit more complex, but it is going to be pretty easy, and
you're going to learn it fast, so you can move on on more complex things. So thanks for watching,
as always, like and subscribe, and see you in the next video.
