Hello, everyone. I'm Yeji Kim from Talk To Me In Korean.
I'm back again.
Today's topic is
I don't have time to study Korean.
You're too busy, aren't you?
Even if you want to study Korean,
I think there are a lot of people who don't have time to study.
I've got a tip for you.
If you don't have time to study,
Just try this.
That's watching and listening to content in Korean.
There are many kinds of content.
K-dramas, K-pop, movies, podcasts, YouTube, etc.
Keep watching your favorite content among these contents.
Even if you don't have time to study Korean,
You may have time to listen to a 5-minute podcast.
While you're resting, while you're eating,
You can listen to music in Korean.
You keep putting Korean next to you like this.
You don't have time to study Korean.
It's not that I don't listen to Korean at all.
I keep giving input.
I think I'm doing well enough just by doing this.
Even if you don't have time, try this.
When you listen to content, don't get stressed.
I think you can listen to it with a comfortable mind.
Choose your favorite content and listen to it.
It's good to try to understand.
It's good to try to understand the lyrics when you listen to K-pop.
YouTube is the same.
But even if you don't know what you're talking about,
You don't have to be stressed out.
Then, if you have any words or grammar you're curious about,
If you have any expressions, look for them.
And when you listen to K-pop and you want to sing along,
If you have lyrics, sing along.
When you're watching a drama,
If you hear a funny line or a cool line you want to follow,
Follow it.
Keep inputting like this.
Of course, if the content I listen to is too difficult, it can be difficult.
For example, I watch YouTube in Korean.
But there's only one word I know, one word I can understand.
Then it's hard to understand.
It can be too difficult to learn something.
So the best level of difficulty is
It's a little more difficult than my level in Korean.
So I can roughly understand what you're saying.
There's a word I've never heard of.
Or there's a grammar I've never heard of.
That's the best level.
But if you think about all this and listen to it,
You might just say, I don't want to listen.
So in my opinion,
If it's too complicated to think about too many things,
If you're too busy to do that,
I think it's enough to just keep listening and watching your favorite content.
It's good to have time to watch and listen like this.
Because you're busy right now,
You'll have time to study Korean again later.
If you have some time later, you'll study Korean again.
Then what I heard will help you.
I'm not doing anything.
Because I'm still inputting,
You're still studying Korean.
I'm studying Japanese right now.
And I studied English.
When I think about studying English,
If I don't have time to study English,
I didn't learn English at all.
I didn't listen to English content and didn't read it in English.
Because I don't have time to study anyway.
Then I don't think I was listening to anything in English.
But it's so hard to do this.
When it's hard, it's hard to start studying English again.
I've stopped studying English so far.
It takes a lot of energy to start all of a sudden.
So when I study the next language, Japanese,
I'm using a different method.
Actually, I've been very busy opening my YouTube channel lately.
So I want to study a language, but I don't have time to study Japanese.
If it was the same as before,
I don't have time to study, so let's do it later.
I think that's how I felt.
I just don't listen to anything in Japanese.
I don't study at all.
I think I'm going to focus on something else.
But it's different now.
Right now, I'm intentionally listening to Japanese content.
And I'm looking for words or grammar that I'm curious about.
Even if I don't have time like this,
When I have time,
When I have 10 minutes, 15 minutes,
I think it's enough to look for it.
And when I have time later,
I'm going to start studying again with the content I've heard so far.
Then I don't have to study Japanese.
I think it'll be much easier than when I start again.
I think I'll have a lot less energy.
So even if you don't have time right now,
It's okay if you can't study 100%.
It's okay if you can only do 10%, 5%.
I don't want you to make it 0%.
Because it's hard to start again later.
So let's get this straight.
If you don't have time to study Korean,
It's okay to consume only Korean content.
It's better to watch and listen to content that's a little more difficult than my level.
But if you don't have time to find that kind of content,
Just listen to the fun content.
Instead, I want you to try to understand.
I think I'm doing a good job with that alone.
Yes, in this video,
I did it a little shorter than the last video.
Please let me know how it was in the comments again.
Do you want it to be longer? Do you want it to be shorter?
Or do you want me to use easier words?
Please let me know what you think.
And if there's a topic you want me to talk about,
Please let me know in the comments.
You're busy, but you're still studying Korean.
Fighting!
I'll keep making content that you can enjoy.
Bye, then.
