Our Forest Boondocking Spot is Swarmed by Rodeo Fans! Saddle-Up Nomads!
Dec 8, 2025
National Forest Camping is known for being quiet and solitary, especially when you pull your RV or Campervan down a ruddy dirt road in the woods to enjoy some dry camping. But, when my friends and I arrive in Sisters, Oregon to do just that, we find that the annual town RODEO is happening right next to our little patch of forest, so we circled our wagons (aka Class C RVs) and watched as massive posses of weekend-campers road into the campground for the town's biggest three day fiesta of the year. Yeehaw, Nomads!
