🍴 Ingredients you’ll need:

a small head of cabbage, about 900 g or 2 pounds
Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
One green chili pepper, seeds out
Olive oil : 3-4 tbsp, divided
Salt and pepper to taste
Dried thyme : 1 tsp
One bell pepper, green or your favorite color
One medium size yellow onion
Ground beef: 450 g, 1 lb
Salt and pepper to taste
Dried thyme and smoked paprika: 1 tsp of EACH
Mushrooms : 150 g, 5 oz
Clotted cream or sour cream: 1/3 cup
Grated sharp cheddar cheese: 1/3 cup
4 eggs
Whole milk: 1/2 cup
Shredded mozzarella: 1 cup

🔥 Instructions:
1. Heat up 3 -4 tbsp olive oil over medium heat and saute garlic and pepper until fragrant
2. Add cabbage and seasonings, cover and cook for 10 -15 minutes, stirring occasionally
3. Add bell pepper and cook for another 5 minutes, then set it aside
4. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat and saute onion until translucent
5. Add the beef and seasonings, cook and crumble for 5 mins
6. Add the mushrooms and cook until everything is cooked
7. Add cream or sour cream and mix everything, set it aside
8. Mix eggs, milk and salt, then add the cabbage
9. Assemble: layer the cabbage and egg mixture at the bottom of a 9 × 13 inch baking dish, then layer the beef sauce evenly and top it off with mozzarella
10. Bake in preheated oven at 350° F/ 180°C for 25 to 30 mins, broil for a couple of mins until golden and bubbly
