Civil War Cave Possible Hiding Spot for Union Soldier Weapons

Heard of a tale of the Union Civil War having a battle and needed to retreat quickly from the confederate, supposedly they hid their weapons and gear inside a cave, so far it's looking good after getting thru the over growth, looks like fill dirt with some small gravel in the dirt.

Looking forward to exploring this more, however, a little dirt a time is the best way to get there, so if you'll sit back and enjoy the small but good progress, I'll post each dig with getting a few inches closer to some amazing history!
