welcome to another adventure guys this time it's in our backyard at the ozark hippie camp i've got hollow star and legend ozark hippie chick with me super cool uh glad that she's here today we're going to go visit a place in our backyard it's called turner's meal clay turner was the founder of this meal back in the day uh what's kind of the last guy running it you'll see some things that'll blow your mind and we appreciate you guys that's hurricane creek guys over here at miss tina's house you can find her on airbnb too and it's private property rental uh we don't need an extra stay or extra place to camp she's super 420 friendly even though she don't advertise it she's from a small town so ozark hippie camp or look up tina's place right here on hurricane creek that's the two you can find and find creekside camping and enjoy the water while it's hot outdoors and we do put our granules down and keep all the ticks and craters off of you god bless day all right guys coming down the hill over here turner mill we took the ride up there earlier and you'll see the sign to come in little squirrel down there see how pretty it is out here you can hear the springs guys this little cap in the day camping area i just want you to see the sign i'm not making that up this is over no overnight camping right here at turner's mill though guys and there's two areas like this and they do have the restroom vault here hippie chick let me read your shirt right quick what's this thing say rock my gypsy soul anybody need one of those where'd that come from what little town pocahontas pocahontas yeah they got a cool little shop downtown guys so what's it called gypsy forget the name of it the lady was so nice all right here's the start of the trailhead guys and uh doing what we love to do taking you guys on one of these beautiful hikes and again if y'all ever want to come join us just reach out in the comments say hey i'd like to join you guys and we'll set up a time and we'll meet you there come to the camp we can go from there we just appreciate each of you joining us on our adventures there's a little outflow right here of the creek amen i hear the water ah spy y'all say anything yet guys i do wow if you know what to look for you'll see something i'll stop i'll give you a little help because our eyes might zoom in just a fraction but something's giant lurking in the corner up there let's go see it before we get to the spring again you can kind of see some of the remnants of the old meal over here guys you'll read about it on these signs up here in a little bit but you want to talk about a wheel mill yeah i'm going to have the hippie chick she's going to go over there and stand next to this thing to show you the magnitude look like i can get it all the way on the screen right now but this thing is uh enormous guys compared to most meal wheels 25 foot 25 foot millwell wow it's about as big as my yurt in colorado i think it's uh 30 foot so yeah percy could live in that yes turner's mill wheel amazing every time i see it is there any way you can oh i don't know yeah you can get down there a little ways couldn't you be careful hippie chicks headed down how about a peace sign yeah look how enormous this wheel is though guys she's five foot okay let me zoom in you see how big this wheel is guys we uh recommend coming out here and checking it out again we appreciate y'all joining us on this adventure i'm gonna lead you over here to one other uh to the reading area right quick guys this will tell you more about turner meal okay let me proofread it first wow that's a lot okay well tell us a little bit about it well it says the remains of turner mill the overshot wheel drive shafts and stone burr used for grinding corn and wheat operated as early as the 1850s by gw decker they had originally there was a wooden wheel uh jesse clay turner bought the mill in 1891 it was a four-story mill building wow we're looking at the remnants yeah and keep yeah you're awesome you're looking at all this across the way planner drill press various types of saws and equipment for grinding wheat and corn the post office who was housed in one end of the mill turner abandoned the wooden wheel in favor of a turbine which furnished power until 1915. the turbine was replaced by the 25-foot steel overshot wheel hauled to site in sections by oxen yeah logs were brought to the mill by floating them down the 11 point river teams of oxen hauled the logs at the time roads were almost non-existent and very poor that's beautiful thanks for that you see the remnants over there guys got the moss on it for the most part goes from here to here could you imagine living back in the day making your own dress hippie chick can make uh washcloth songs pretty cool i can sew anything crochet and knit yeah hippie chicks got some natural talents too y'all come out and hang out sometimes guys looking forward to seeing you on the trail before we go to the big big spring guys which is over there i want to show you this water here is coming out profusely right well look at what happens here this is the car's topography all this water you see is going underground now it all just disappears we're fixing to walk on the edge of it you can see all that water oh it goes to right here it starts flowing out underneath so it's getting cleansed again basically going through another purification system you can see the end of it's here but it's all dropping guys every bit of that water just falling down and uh there's where we're headed and uh this is probably the most special spot to me because you'll hear as you'll hear in a minute there's a secondary spring down here too guys another car cars topography going on you can see this disappears and shoots out on the bottom let's get up there and see this view that the lord has sun is out okay this is turner's meal guys show y'all something special we'll check that out here in a minute where that all that water is coming out but i want to show you all something really cool be careful there so be careful i was hoping that sun would come out and show them the difference we got one big cloud to deal with guys but let's give it some time we'll come back to that shot let's got some more exploring to see you see here's one of the walls you think they would have channeled the water is that what mike said they channeled that water through here let me show you the wheel guys you can see it way down there see that we're early early spring guys like late winter well it's not supposed to be but it's what it is right now uh the weather will be coming pretty soon but you can see that there's no leaves on the tree that's what i'm trying to get at you can see so much clear when there's no cover there's no uh really critters right now which makes it kind of convenient but let's go in there and look at this cave while the the sun is behind this little cloud for a minute then we'll come back and see it all okay yeah be careful if you go there i'm gonna show i've been to the very top of this thing i don't recommend it during the summertime guys though because it's a snakey season and this is a sunny side let's go look at these gates let's keep you out of the big caves in here no it's a lot of water coming out guys wow and then you see the little uh white shirt up here white water let's go to the next next round a lot of times we can get on this rock guys [Music] yeah you want to take this over there yeah take them in there why not the sun is right right there this one i crawled up here look at that [Music] so the camp adventures we really appreciate y'all uh coming out and visiting we enjoy it when we get to show people what the lord's created you see how crystal clear the blue water is over here [Music] yeah we'll take them by the schoolhouse guys uh it's time to go explore and we'll take you back into time in history see you soon all right guys as we walk away you'll continue to hear the sounds fade away there's the old wheelchair far right and there is uh the picnic i was talking about day use again i couldn't make grill you some hot dogs or hamburger guys definitely delicious hippie chicks over there taking pictures like always she's awesome sun's about to come out she's always making her page better too you don't need to check her out on the facebook i was like hippie chick sure you know better again uh you'll hear the the sounds begin to dissipate as we walk down the trail see more old remnants over there oh it's about out for a minute we're only getting spots of sunshine today guys looks like a natural gold sluice stan heard would probably agree with that or jeff williams and i might catch the gold in there if we got flooded through here pipe washed more remnants sounds of nature we'll see at the schoolhouse all right guys welcome to the trail uh it is a river system here so you might hear occasional motor on occasions uh lookie here foot travel welcome no motor vehicles this will be the old school house guys let's go listen to the sights and sounds of nature should we give it a minute before we go down that trail and just continue that's a pretty walk through here yeah this is beautiful let's get the carpet guys everybody dreams of that moss carpet well here's like a mega strip row of it it's delightful for your feet i'd rather be barefoot i bet you could on this trail yeah barefoot why do you like to be barefoot it's not gonna be grounded with the earth i like to not have anything to separate you from that channel the energy you're looking for arrowheads through here i thought i saw a piece right there guys anytime you see a little rock pile like that sometimes something will pop up but that wasn't one but at times oh that's true but yeah i still like to see them i still like to see it you see the the wall that probably kept some of the water out at times don't you reckon i see the schoolhouse anybody see it i'm sure the viewers see it by now guys we appreciate y'all tuning in if it wasn't for you guys watching uh we want to be able to create and again thanks for youtube for giving us a guys just getting out and doing it could you imagine spring water coming out of this thing at one point later i bet it did i bet it does at some point it will yeah it's pretty fresh i don't know why it wouldn't be right now but okay uh she's a local guys well ray's local she's from california you're from california right hippie chicken uh yes sweet from california west coast girl she moved out here when she was 12. small town crazy but everybody watching yeah this is the ozarks all right guys trying to get in the other one hippie chicks over here trying to get in this one can you get in there i'm gonna try this door oh got a good spring on there huh okay there guys we get to go inside and see what's going on wow watch this door this is a rare [Music] tournament here okay so first thing you do think you coat your head off guys there's two doors you see these ceilings are probably all original looks like they had a fire pit over here there's a bird nest over here that's awesome there's an old lock over there [Music] i don't know what vintage that is but [Music] okay walked in i want to show them this what's on the board i'm gonna see the blackboard yeah there's a couple eggs in there that's awesome really check it out little bitty baby eggs how precious is that amen some life a little area where you'll see him again all right guys headed out the schoolhouse be careful with that screen this is where they school they would gather probably play outside guys a little more modern with it it's a lot different than the the thing we saw the other day i think the thing we saw was more water yeah more like a sister this is definitely nothing but remnants now guys and just pretty views all right thanks for joining us on the tour we'll leave with the sound of an airplane
