Good morning, welcome back to the channel
and welcome to Break 70 episode two.
We're here at one of my favorite golf courses, Hidden Hills.
I just hit my tee shot and forgot to hit record,
so we're in the first fairway.
Portion of this video is sponsored by Masterworks,
but we'll know more about that a little bit later.
But you know the drill,
trying to play as many courses as I can
here in Jacksonville and Break 70.
And if I do, I'm gonna give you something,
so let's go do it.
That's how you start.
Low key though, this is probably
one of the better layouts in Jacksonville.
I absolutely love it.
You gotta shape your ball around here.
Yeah, you can take it over some corners.
If you don't, you know, you can get in some trouble.
The course is just a hair over 6,800 yards,
so it's not terribly long,
but it's actually like a PGA Tour caliber course.
It hosted the Greater Jacksonville Open
three years here in the 70s.
Gary Player is the one out here,
so there's some cool history out here.
Greens are always a little shaggy,
so that makes scoring a little bit harder.
You gotta roll with it, so yeah.
Let's keep this ball in play today.
Ooh.
I'm being let through by a foursome,
so I'll see you on the next team.
That thing almost flew in the hole.
Wow.
Look where this thing landed.
Oh, still searching for our first ace.
We'll take birdies.
So if you're like me,
you've invested a lot of time searching for a hole-in-one,
and for me, the investment has been a lot of hours,
but no return, but I wanna talk to you
about an investment that I've been making
that actually has been having some nice returns.
Yes, investing is a very fickle game to play.
I understand that, but now that I'm a father,
I think I understand a little bit more
the importance of making some good investments,
because it's for my son and for my family.
So that's why I'm pretty stoked
to talk to you about Masterworks.
With nearly $2 trillion invested in the art market,
it's no surprise some of the wealthiest people
in the world are investing there
because it's a great way to hedge against inflation,
a stock market that is not amazing,
and even crypto that is super, super volatile.
Contemporary Art has outpaced the S&P 500
by 174% from 1995 to 2020.
Masterworks is a platform that allows you
to invest in their art pieces.
They know the art world in and out.
They returned a 32% investment
on one Banksy piece in 2020.
Those are pros knowing the art market in and out.
Getting started with them is super easy.
You just create a profile, you go on the website,
and you can kind of diversify your portfolio
by investing portions into different pieces of art
that they hold.
You'll return on that investment when Masterworks sells it.
And if you don't wanna wait until they sell it,
you can sell your shares to other investors
in the Masterworks platform.
So kind of like a stock sharing app.
Click the link below, get involved with Masterworks.
I hope it really helps you.
It really helps this channel.
Let's go have some fun, invest in some art,
and also let's go see if I can make birdie on the next one.
Woo!
Corner cut.
Don't think about your golf swing, Andrew.
Just get a shot.
I will take that and run.
Definitely get on a jail-free card there.
That's where I should have had.
Two in a row.
Destroyed that.
One under at the turn.
Yeah, a little sloppy.
First two holes I had wedges were eight, nine,
and those were not good wedges.
Driving it well, irons are okay.
Chipping it well, putting it well.
I'm pleased, but we gotta tighten it up
on the back nine to break 70.
But since I didn't break 70 in the last video,
I'm gonna punish myself in this one.
Those five hats, those five tailor-made hats
that I was gonna give away in the last one,
we're giving them away today, regardless of what I shoot.
I'm gonna pick one random commenter
or someone that subscribes to the channel on this video,
and you're gonna win five tailor-made hats
because I love ya.
So let's go hit some better wedges on the back nine.
Oh, these might go long.
I'll take it.
I just got let through on the 11th tee.
600-yard bar five, island green.
You know we're laying up.
That's better.
That's much better.
Now we're hitting the stretch of the back nine
that is like, you can score.
It's wedges, a reachable par five,
and then one really good par three.
So hopefully we can hit some wedges close,
make some putts, and get under 70.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Oh, good shot.
Oh, man.
A top sharp player right now,
like if this were a tournament and I was playing well
or someone who was playing well, not me,
would be three under right now,
even with that sloppy front nine, I'm even.
Wedge close on the par five, don't make it.
Wedge close, don't make it.
Chunk a wedge, make a bogey.
That dullness of focus of execution
is what separates me from guys
that make money in tournament golf.
So that's what I need to work on this year,
get the focus, get the wedges,
convert, don't be sloppy.
Don't be sloppy, stupid.
What a frustrating three holes.
Stood there three tees ago thinking here's a time to give.
Hey, and we're even.
Side note, I'm standing at the highest point in Jacksonville.
That's kind of cool.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
We are on song with the irons, damn.
Thing finally went in.
We got a chance, yes, come on.
I honestly don't know how we have a chance today.
It's not felt like a great round of golf,
but if I think about it, I've never been out of play.
I've been driving it well,
been in play off the tee on every single hole,
and then it's just a matter of how accurate
the wedges and the irons are,
and if the putts are going in or not.
Yeah, we're two under,
because a couple of putts dropped.
Make up for some slop.
Well, let's see, let's see what we can do here.
I was hoping for a jumper.
I was hoping for a jumper, and it didn't jump.
Has to get to the hole to go in.
Well, I hope you enjoyed that video.
I'll announce the winner of the hats
in the next episode of Break 70.
Until then, peace.
