One of the coolest hikes around Pagosa Springs, it's definitely a trail for all skills. Truly a gem tucked against the wonderful Rocky Mountains. You can feel the power of water falling thru a chute and crashing into the hard rock below.
Join us on the drive and journey to powerful Piedra Falls. You'll see large mountains, aspen trees along with the pines. Keep your eye open for the natural beauty that's all around in these mountain formations. The air is thinner so be prepared if you visit here. Have a wonderful week!

You can see the aspen are just barely starting to bloom in this area.
It's barely up there. It was a little warmer down low.
I mean all kinds of country guys every place.
So aspen's got those white bark on there.
Blooms going.
Get back to where Spagosa where we just came from guys.
Show you a little bit of terrain around here.
Very pretty place.
Like I said blue spruces are here guys.
See that coloration right there.
Blue spruce.
Blue spruce is first and behind the second.
Pretty blue spruce over here.
Middle fork of that Piedra.
Beautiful area.
And that's going to be your blue spruce to the front here.
You see the difference in shape.
And here's your pine guys.
You can hike up to this guy.
It's called Spagosa Peak.
Bright ridge right there.
But it gets super narrow.
You can see that the drop is pretty steep.
One-of-a-kind mountain.
Takes about four hours to get up there.
Three and a half to get down guys.
Me and my brother been blessed to be able to go up there years ago.
The Lord kind of carried us up there more than anything.
So if you need some strength.
You need some power.
You need love guys.
Rely and ask He's there for you.
He's there for us.
I just want to show you the Spagosa Peak up close.
First Creek Carson.
You guys did an outstanding job.
It's got a small drop.
But you can see where the cut normally looks like.
Thank you guys for allowing us to come over here.
Check out these falls.
These falls are going to be out of this world guys.
Out of this world.
Here's the pull-in area.
Find a spot wherever you like.
I know the right river is not going to rise up.
Unless it were to rain.
If it were to rain it would be rising up.
So I'm going to go ahead with this part.
Right over here guys.
Probably cool.
All right this is the bottom of Piedra Falls.
This is the Piedra River.
I'm going to get everything together and we'll get on the trail.
All right guys going to the trailhead right here.
See Piedra Falls.
I want to try to concentrate on the mountains around here for now.
It should be a good time.
You can see it's a wide trail going in.
Hello.
I was like Hippie Camp.
H-I-P-P-I-E.
That's my YouTube channel.
All right guys the water is receded enough to be able to walk.
Beautiful day.
And you can see guys.
I just got these uh earth earth bouncers.
Made from earth materials.
They're just sandals.
So it didn't take much.
See the trails right up here.
Mid-ass YouTube.
People from all over come in and hike guys.
Up the trail.
I want to give them some space.
Turned out to be a fabulous day.
You can see there's still some snow up there guys.
It just melts down.
I know this waterfall is going to be powerful.
It's going to be to see how it goes left here.
All the way down right there in the center.
The trail.
There should feel fine.
Let's go straight up here.
And then we'll follow forward.
Wow the sun feels amazing today.
We've got everything lined up guys.
Shockers are in line.
Feels good to be in the right place.
Getting some true healing.
I went to the healing waters today in Pagosa Springs this morning.
Blessed to have a little place out here.
Come out here and rest and recharge.
A good place to be guys.
If you've never been here, I definitely recommend it.
Durango's got some good energy over there too.
Which leads you into uh
Ouray.
I forget the other little mile.
Silverton right?
You all know me.
I love the trees.
These are ponderosa pines.
Super old.
I come back here one year.
And the winds had kind of crossed back up in here.
It's going to be really cold water.
It's a snow melt.
So when warmer it mixes with it.
Creates quite a bit of convection.
And also create some havoc.
Piedra River.
Going to the Piedra Falls guys.
Take it all in.
River sound.
Aspen leaves coming on.
If they were on and the wind was going guys, it would flicker.
Like a little, a little flicker almost.
Angels are in us and around us guys.
They're here to help us.
They're here to guide us guys.
So just do all you can to be lined up and accept that goodness that's in us.
Because that's where it all flows from guys.
From within.
Just get to know we're protected by angels and the light of love.
It's amazing.
Again encourage everybody to get to know their neighbors.
Love your neighbors.
Doesn't say love yourself.
Just love your neighbors guys.
See these mountains are getting bigger.
River's getting lower down.
We're getting closer guys.
Here at the falls.
Sometimes words can't describe.
Immense beauty and sheer power guys.
Let's move closer together.
Try to hold this steady.
This is going to be a top side view.
Starts up there guys.
You can see where it's wet there guys.
That's where it's misting.
You can get a fresh shower today.
That's what you so desire.
It's a lot of water guys.
That's going to be snow melt though.
All that is is snow melt.
So it's not like a continual spring that we get up there in the Ozarks.
It all depends on how much snow they use.
This year you can tell.
They got a pretty good amount.
See the series of falls.
Falls down into this here guys.
Just carving up that sky up there somewhere.
Got a big set of falls right now.
I think we'll try to get a look at the pool on the other way.
Because it's so wet right here guys.
So bear with me as I go up.
I think going up is going to be a little more of a challenge.
So we shouldn't get too wet.
I'll stay where it's mainly dry.
Let's get a little closer guys.
Not much.
Let's see what happens.
See the rocks down there.
You know there's minerals up there.
What do they call this?
Mineral county for...
I'm not having any minerals.
We're catching a mist here guys.
That's where it truly falls from.
Later in the year guys after the snow has melted.
It won't look anything like this.
This is the last shot from Piazza Falls guys.
Appreciate y'all tuning in.
Thank the lord for bringing me here.
For the rest of the week.
Have a good weekend.
