How Frank Lampard finished "TOP FOUR" in 2019/20 Season ?

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce Frank Lampard as our new head coach. One of the greatest players in our history, during his long and illustrious career, Lampard returns to Stamford Bridge having signed a three-year contract. Have the club said to you, it's top four, this is what we need from you? No, no, they haven't said that and I don't think they need to say that because I think it's very clear that we are a club that generally, barring a couple of seasons in recent years and a lot of recent years, have managed to be in top four or winning titles or winning whatever. So I don't think, you know, one of the benefits to say is that I know the club, I know the standards and what is expected, so it wouldn't be a conversation I would need to have. I understand that that's where we should be. Chelsea enjoyed their first Premier League win under new head coach Frank Lampard last week. Abraham, gathered, or should have been gathered, it wasn't gathered by Henderson. And Tommy Abraham obliges for Chelsea. More misunderstanding and Sheffield United come in a second time. A second for Tommy Abraham. Stephens, Robinson. Sheffield United back in it. That's to look better. He's done brilliantly. Abraham, Robinson. He's done well to deliver and it's been swept in. Alonso, Abraham, it's yet another hat-trick. Who is really looking the part. Alonso's waiting here for Moutinho's cross. He's onside. And it's followed in. Mason Mount. Oh, that's just terrific from Mason Mount. He does get in on the act. A bit set up for Alexander-Arnold. Oh, wonderful. It's not going to count. Again, it does come back again. All the way for Firmino. Chelsea have a penalty. Here comes Jorginho against Matt Ryan. 2-0 to Chelsea. And they're surely on their way now to a first home Premier League victory under Frank Lampard. Hudson-Odoi looks for the direct route through to Tommy Abraham. And he got there ahead of Gunn who'd come a long way. Brilliant from Yoshida in getting back. But it's given. He didn't get back into the watch. Abraham. Willian gets it through here. Mount is through and makes it 2-0. Chelsea's young bucks tearing through another Premier League defence. They're all looking for a route through here. And Inskip's a total in the scores. Takes it on. Will it fall here? Lothar drew it. And it's it for Chelsea. Pulisic and Abraham to force it in. And they can barely believe. Lothar, no, he got himself into real difficulties there. He's let Pulisic in. Punished. Christian Pulisic makes him pay with his first goal for Chelsea. Tom Kowalski puts his team under pressure. Pulisic on the charge again. Christian Pulisic looking to go all the way. Well, what a day this is turning into for Captain America. For Burnley's defenders to do as it's whipped back in. And he's got the hand trick. Christian Pulisic. What a night for him. He's shown here tonight why he should be a fixture in this team. A hand trick. Will he end? Chelsea are running right now. That's their score here last year. Sides to Havanko. What a goal. The other side to Havanko. What a goal. Pulisic. Out. Chorchini overstayed that one round. And Tammy Abraham catches what put off guard. And that is a finish of perfection. I think we've just seen the pass of the season there by Chorchini. Pulisic with a header. Out. Oh, what a spectacular effort and another top draw save. Abraham pulls it across. And Pulisic is there to make it 2-0. Carrying on his scoring feat from Turf Moore. And good pressure from Dele Feo. Well, he went belatedly to save. Penalty has been recommended. His under-19 colleague with Spain. He does beat him. Dele Feo's ball inflicts on. And Morgan takes the save. Loving save. It's Pulisic. Brilliantly done by Christian Pulisic. But Morgan. That was better. It's Tammy Abraham. Taking some time in coming. But Chelsea have the breakthrough. For Pulisic. It's Christian Pulisic. Good save. Backs wide. Pulisic on the score sheet again. Ball through for N'Golo Kante. He's on the run. He's quick. And he's going to go in for Chelsea. And it sets up for the shot. And there he goes. It's pretty good. Great strength and determination. Of course. Shoot is the demand. It's a powerful save. It's a second save. Ornelas. Creswell cuts inside. Oh, my goodness. Does he? In West London. For the return of John Terry. He made over 700 appearances. Abraham. Chelsea in front. Tammy Abraham. Back to Haunt. Aston Villa. Now Mohamedy with a cross. And it's gone in. It's been bundled in. Abraham. Chested down. And followed home magnificently by Mason Mount. What a goal that was. It's Willian. It's another terrific save by him. Who gathers at the second attempt. Hidden at full stretch. But somehow, Willian's attempt kept out. Sidibe's ball in. And it's Harrison. Gives Duncan Ferguson's Everton. On his side, a little bit of time. Calls Bournemouth. Callum Lane. Makes it 2-0. Gorbachev. Through a crowd of players and in. What a strike from Matteo Gorbachev. Still Tom Davies goes. And it's bundled in by Calvin Lewin. Scooped in towards Mason Mount. First chance for Chelsea. Away by Francis. Not too far. And Emerson. Point-blank save from Ramsey. Points to away by Azpilicueta. No flag. Gosling. Oh, is it in? No, the flag's up. It's given. Goal! Chelsea's first ever visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was as hotly contested as any London derby between the two sides. Willian wants to get it on his right foot and let fly. Well, Arjen Raptjus. Oh, it's a penalty. On VAR say so. Penalty. This is golden opportunity to double their advantage on the stroke of half-time. Which he does, unerringly. By VAR having... It's red for Song. He does shoot. Well done for Chelsea and for Frank Lampard in particular. And he has finished magnificently. Up front by Mason Mount. Tubby Abraham. To all the ends. Now Redmond. This time he makes sure. Back for Azuma. And it's a tap-in Emspilicueta. And Chelsea start well against Brighton yet again. Trying to get to it. It's a penalty. Wait for Jorginho. Jorginho puts Chelsea in front. Abraham waits. It's Chelsea's second goal to work so well. Espilicueta. Abraham couldn't get there. Hudson-Odoi could. His first Premier League goal for Chelsea. Loads. And Max Amann. Back in there towards Van Anders. Just after Christmas. Just a late blue burst between them. And there is Chelsea's former centre-half. David Luiz who played with Frank Lampard. Pass. Abraham is round the goal. Keep it to be smooth. Penalty. He had a spare man. And Rivas header. He's up. Chelsea's number two. Hunter for Chelsea dugout. Chelsea. More than the best. It's a great shot back in there. And Barkley. And Alonso. It is Alonso. And they've hit the frame of the goal again. Lamella. Oh and the deflection takes it. It's importance. James. Giroud. Stacey. Wilson's in there. Pedro. What a great save. And Alonso. And Chelsea have equalised. He's second. Chelsea second. This is Pedro. Mason Mounts. The smart finish from Mason Mounts. Curled in by Azpilicueta. And there's the equaliser. And straight from the bench. Giroud. And it's Giroud again on the turn. And what about that? This is some turnaround from Chelsea. Olivier Giroud. This is curled in. And Fernandinho got a very good header on that. Stake there though. With Mendy. Pulisic. He's through here. Can he finish this? Christian Pulisic. You bet he can. The American has done it again for Chelsea. Bit of a smash and grab rate. It's a good one. And it's in. Brilliant free kick. Matt Sterling. What is the post? Fernandinho couldn't get there. Pulisic. Off the line. Abraham. He couldn't turn it in. Can he find Abraham? And to Pulisic. How does that stay out? Wow. But it has. And a red card. He's never missed a Chelsea penalty. And he keeps that record going. It was a great spot kick. An insult is added to injury now. Because Pulisic has won a penalty. Willian. The West Ham goalkeeper. Delight here for Jarrod Bayern. Antonio. Willian takes. Oh, it's brilliant. He gets the luck of the bounce off the post. Benet. Diomelenko. Yes! Trying to get the ball out from underneath his feet. And finds Giroud. Who finds the corner. First blood for Chelsea. Olivier Giroud. Mariappa with intent. Kapu came across. Brought him down. And for the second successive game. It's the restart. And is again. Into the roof of the net. To double Chelsea's advantage. Here's the hit. One of them is Barkley. 3-0. Magnificent finish from Ross Barkley. Gary Cahill. Willian's not going to stop though. Doesn't have to stop. Cut back a goal. Olivier Giroud in. But that's desperately unfortunate. For Christopher Bale. And for Pulisic. Pulisic. A delight of a finish. From the important American. Over the pitch. Driving at Palace again. Teeing up. Willian. Zaha picks it up for Palace. Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Through to Tammy Abraham. Who finds the corner. The flag stayed down. Chelsea have a fill and on hold again. And touched in by Benteke. Stephens is in there. Burnley has the shot. And McGoldrick. Stephens cross. Oh and the header is planted in. And so turns the cross. And McGoldrick finds it. They bring down by Pulisic. And it glances off the crossbar. That's a good ball. And there's the opening goal. In first half. Stoppage time. Olivier Giroud. Gets it right this time. But first. The final Anfield game of this historic season. The Liverpool Football Club. Chelsea to brace for Keita. The shot's on. Oh, what a shot. It's Alexander-Arnold. And he's stuck it again. Swings it. It's on the ball. And it's on the net. He's got another chance to fix it. Oh and Willian. And he's forced in by Giroud. As the ball dropped. And that's given Chelsea a bit of a lift. The counter-attack so far in the second half. And there it is. Here's Pulisic trying to make it. 1-4 Abraham. Absolutely outstanding. From Pulisic. Good speed here. Pulisic, can he finish this one? It's 4-3. Chelsea back in it. And pressing for the Champions League. Jones in the middle. Behind him. Outside Chamberlain. Against Crystal Palace. Back to Neto. Caballero backpedalling. Come on Chelsea, keep it up. Mason Mount. Provides the moment. Finds the magic when it really matters. Coming through there. It's Giroud. Comes through here. Touches it beyond route. Patricio. And scores. Brilliant from Olivier Giroud.
