Well, we've seen him chip from just off the edge of the green quite a bit, and Tony and I both like this, going over that approach area.
Out of play, and a brilliant chipper. When you see someone chip like that, rather than putt, you know he's a good chipper.
Cowert, no. Into four. And that is one sweet approach shot.
He missed that little tiddler, I'm afraid. Back at three, Tony.
This is a pitch. He's going to probably want to land it in that dark area. Hit the downslope and kick forward.
Not too far away from his second eagle of the day. You would expect him to go ahead and birdie that.
You keep doing this, Jake. You're going to please a lot of players.
Yes, amazing. I mean, let's see. We did it with Mountain at the first, Sullivan at the sixth.
Tony, I didn't think it was an easy bunker shot.
It wasn't. It absolutely wasn't. That is a deep bunker landing on the downslope.
Let's pitch this over the bunker. Water just past the hole.
Oh, oh, oh, don't you... Oh, no, no, no. It's wet.
Water just past the hole. You have to get more air underneath that pitch shot.
Go for the flag. My goodness. He's nearly knocked the flag out.
That's fantastically done.
Down there, I was going to say two putts would be more than acceptable.
One is a huge bonus.
John Parry's made a good start. Is it about to get that little bit better?
This for birdie at five.
Really is wonderful to see him back out and playing and putting like that.
Well done, Mr. Perry.
See how aggressive I was going to be here at five over the water.
To this par, 367 yards.
Oh, my.
That is a very visually intimidating hole location there.
And you just take dead aim.
A tough seventh tee forward here today.
Yeah, but it's that back right hole location.
You have to I think you still hit it.
Thirty five, 40 feet short left of the hole.
That's an aggressive play. That is really aggressive.
Sounds like a decent contact and was what a shot from Van Felsen.
No mistake.
Nine of the last 11 champions here at Leopard Creek have come
from the Rainbow Nation, from South Africa.
Slap bang in the middle.
So he joins Van Felsen and Kinault.
Wicked bunker shot here for Longast.
Deep bunker.
I did it again.
Are you kidding me? That was not an easy shot either.
They're making it look easy, Tony.
Well, you're coming to the park with me later and you're going to tell me
when we drive into the park there's no chance of seeing a leopard.
There's no leopards, there's no lions, there's no cheetahs.
No cheetahs.
Yeah, very good chip.
Yeah, this youngster can see what Rob Lee meant about his full package.
Back at six.
Iora to take the outright lead.
Yeah, and even the putting stroke is not exactly ugly, is it?
And he keeps the putter low to the ground.
Beautiful stroke.
Look.
What a six holes that is.
Hello.
Lovely touch.
Van Felsen is going to move alongside Iora.
Well, on the upslope, which is a huge help.
You're joking.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no, I'm not having that.
That is an amazing goal shot.
If you get two grains, too little sand,
you go in the water with that bunker shot.
He's holed it.
He finds another one.
So, Norris to 11 under par.
He's within three now, as I said.
He won recently, just a couple of weeks ago.
His seventh win on the tour over in Japan.
Oh, no.
That's just, that's actually just gone off in his hand.
Oh, my goodness.
That is, that's going to leave some serious mental bruising.
Wow.
Didn't see that coming at all.
All of a sudden, he's three shots out of the lead.
I'm just going to let Dale Hayes get over his palpitations
after watching that one.
Tough shot here at 12.
173 plays 14 downhill.
Wind hurting from the right.
Club selection so difficult.
Go.
Not a bad shot.
Go it did.
Pitched about two or three feet from the hole.
Not an easy one.
You don't want to get a close look at those crocodiles down the bank.
He'll be delighted to hear you calling this tough, Jay.
I have history today, but he proved that one was a little tougher than most.
That's an okay result by tour standards.
But with his pitching, he knocks it.
Let's not forget, this guy is a prolific winner.
He has won more tournaments than all the other top six combined.
And with that birdie putt joins the lead, there's now four at 13 under par.
Look out for Norris.
Clearly in between clubs.
Took it back to the tee markers a little bit.
Allowed to take it back to club lengths and just about right.
Great shot.
As we've seen on 12 today.
Kuva.
Birdie chance at 15.
Also a positive pace.
Oh my goodness.
Overly positive.
Kuva with the comeback putt from every bit of four and a half feet.
Wow.
He didn't get it much closer if at all.
Back to Kuva.
This for bogey at 15.
Oh, that's our second four putt we've seen today.
Oh, I was the first one to say the P word.
67 in the end of the power of the last for Sean Norris,
the veteran South African.
He's 42 years young now.
Is it going to be a second DP World Tour victory?
You've got golf and wildlife.
They're not having anything to do with that elephant, are they?
Golf and wildlife in such close proximity.
It's just a special week.
Get down.
That was extremely well played.
My goodness.
That was.
Danger level nine out of 10.
Right there.
Montreal.
Front left location.
Helping win from the right.
Needs birdie birdie.
And that's going to set up the first one.
Great shot.
Make sure you get into a playoff at worst.
I'm not sure he doesn't like this one.
They are afraid.
That's exactly what we've seen.
So, so many times.
Over the years.
He's not the first.
And he won't be the last to be caught out by the 18th hole here
at Leopard Creek.
How far for this man?
John.
Sit.
Hit it firm.
Take some breakout.
It was a decent effort, but it's not to be.
I'm afraid for young Ryan van Felsen.
And the Alfred Dunhill champion.
He's Sean Norris.
It's a second DP World Tour title.
You don't need to bother with that, Sean.
Why are you joking?
It's yours.
No one's joking.
Suddenly overcome by emotion.
It is such a special place, isn't it?
For South African golfers.
Leopard Creek.
In comes Candice, his wife.
This means a lot, doesn't it?
You've been out there a long, long time.
Many, many years.
And you get this bonus.
Fantastic.
Get away.
I don't need you anymore.
The club drop.
Director here at Leopard Creek Country Club.
And ladies and gentlemen, your 2024 champion, Sean Norris.
Sean, started way back today.
Started with that magnificent eagle at the second.
At the time, did you know what you needed to do to try and win this magnificent trophy?
I had a number in mind.
I thought 14-15 was a good number to get to.
And if I can post it early, they needed to chase it down.
The last four or five holes on those golf courses is very strong.
I don't think 13 was strong enough.
But somehow, it held up.
Tell us about the thoughts on the range while you're having lunch with your wife,
watching the guys come in.
No thoughts.
I just kept asking how the kids are and what we're up to,
what are we doing for dinner and things like that.
But we were trying to stay very calm and just see what happens.
It's not in our hands.
It's in our father's hands.
I'm very happy that it worked out this way.
A second DP World Tour title, what does it mean to win it?
Words can't describe it.
This last year has been very tough.
It's been up and down and all over the place.
Thanks to God, my family and my wife.
We've kept it together.
You know what?
Winning two weeks ago in Japan and then winning this week.
What a blessing.
I'm sure Leopard Creek, Mr. John Rupert, what they do for the tour,
for you guys here as well at Leopard Creek, playing in this magnificent event,
in this wonderful golf course as well.
I'm sure you guys are proud as professionals to be coming here every year.
I think I'll speak on behalf of all professionals and all golfers in South Africa.
Mr. Rupert, Mrs. Rupert, you know what?
You guys, thank you so much for what you're doing for us as golfers,
supporting the tour, hosting this unbelievable tournament
and putting us on a course that's in such phenomenal condition every year.
We are greatly appreciative of it and thank you so much.
The end of another wonderful week here.
It is quite unique, isn't it?
On the DP World Tour schedule.
A week to savour for Sean and Norris.
But a word on some of the young talent we've seen out there this week, gents.
The likes of Fran Feltzen of Aiora.
It's been brilliant, Dom.
I said earlier in the programme, I love these early tournaments
because you see a lot of the new talent that have got cards
come through onto the DP World Tour.
