🇹🇷 TÜR vs. 🇨🇳 CHN - Highlights Week 1 | Women's VNL 2022

Holy anti-climax Batman. And a nice hard driven ball. Wouldn't they love an ace from her now? They're not going to get it. Once again China. Back to the service line. 20 points to 12. Make that 21. And you can't tell me they don't want to add gold to that collection this year. They're definitely missing the gold in that little series they've got. Trailing by 8. And now they trail by 9. Nice touch from Kara Kurt. China though. Stabilise. And reload. Such a good swing there. Kara Kurt. Alright another set point. In fact several on the board. China. An inch away. Oh goodness me. That's almost zero tempo stuff. The gold medalist from the 2016 Olympics has made a definitive statement to finish that first set. They don't fear the Chinese block but they do respect it. Oh but that's a moment of... This is how you do that. Yin Liu through the outside here for China. Try and stem this run of points. Oh that is absolute nectar though. Okay opportunity for Kara Kurt. It's not a great set though. Disappointment on the breakdown of that play. And I think that was the cause of the net touch on that occasion. So 21-16. Kara Kurt hits the floor more than once. She expects them to do the same. 17-21. A little bit of by-play through the net. That's two. 23-18. Tokaye. Leading by five. China under a bit of pressure. Spectacular dig. Wonderful anti-climax. Oh here we go. Fighting hard. China though. Determined. Jogged. The home team. Four set points remain. 12-18. The crowd staying on their feet for the Kara Kurt serve. Oh my word. Well the hands. One thing I'm starting to see though. She is kind of. Whichever way she's running in is the way that that ball is going. And maybe the block needs to take a little leaf out of that book. And just take away the power with extreme prejudice. When the server has the ball is in position. They have eight seconds to get their serve underway. The crowd can take some credit for that one. And China a little bit rattled. A team of their quality should not be beaten from this point in a set. Such a good ball in from the middle blocker. Do they challenge this? Gongsheng Yu? Not me. According to the email I got back from the Federation. Here's another opportunity. Turkaye. Very calm. Very controlled. Oh looks like she had a foot on the line for mine from the back row. That's fascinating. You're sat right along that three meter line aren't you? That's a shame. That is a shame for Turkaye. It's brilliant for China. Ace serve. And now they're going to take this set. It's going to be four touches. And they've lost their way a little bit here at the back end of this set. I'm afraid. And that is all she wrote in this set. She sees the ball. Knows where the block is in their peripheral vision. And then guides it away. That's an overpass. It's still in the air. It's off a foot for goodness sake. Oh and then the roll shot. Oh yes. The crowd had all gone on their feet there. And that's amazing. They're already celebrating. They're not playing the whistle. That's the dig of the tournament for mines. And that's got to be the roll to follow it up as well. But gave her the choice of cross court or line. Really nice setting indeed. Once a set. I'll just do it once a set. The middle blocker might go a long way to being the biggest scorer or the MVP. Middle action. Gunes this time in blocks. And rightly so. It's not a monster block. It's a Kong block. Kerikits going around the back. So she's not in the way of any of the passes. And then you get three fouls. That's not a hit in the floor. Only 10,000 people thought it had. But China will not stop. China 22. They've been chasing all night. Can they even it up now? Here we go. Oh, it's breathtaking. Do you know what? If there was one player after watching these things all in that situation, maybe they won't make something. Serving 21. Well, there were delays all over the place. Karakurt went in a little bit early. The ball was a bit high. The block was then waiting. And what a shame. Tactical serve. They just wanted to drop it short. So that China had to come in and get out. Didn't happen. What a shame for Hande Belledin. But China tonight have taken everything that the host nation has thrown at them.
