I am Brad. I'm John. Okay, this came from a suggestion. Well, part suggestion, part
support. I wasn't paying much attention when I was typing things in. Previously, we did
a, I don't remember which one it was that did it, a cover of a song that was from The
Weekend, a beatbox cover. And someone had suggested that we do this one, this one being
Creeping. Technically, it's not just The Weekend. He says pulling the thing up because this is
complicated. Creeping is a song by American record producer Metro Boomin, Canadian singer
The Weekend, which is actually technically the only one mentioned on the video, and British
American rapper 21 Savage. It was released in January of 23. It's a remake of I Don't
Want to Know from 2004 by Mario Winans featuring Enya and P Diddy.
Okay, one name I know. I don't know his music, but I at least know the name.
Which is based on a sample of the Fugees song Ready or Not from 1996, which samples songs from
Enya back in 1987, called Buddha Sia.
Okay. Two I know. Well, and I know The Weekend because we reacted to I Don't Know.
I just liked the chain of, okay, so this was based on this, which was based on this, which is based on
this. It can get fun.
The chain of royalty checks.
Yes, exactly.
Who gets the largest one?
So the reason I found this also slightly amusing was the fact that Improver, Ivan Alexandrov, who
we're about to watch, did a beatbox cover of the song Creeping, but he wasn't the only one.
Okay.
It's also been done by one or two others. So it's kind of interesting because it's kind of like,
okay, so this week we can do it by Improver. Next week we can do the same song done differently by
Taurus Stannin.
And, you know, it's kind of...
I've forgotten it all this week.
I'll forget by next week.
Well...
You know how my memory is.
That's true.
Well, if I'm really enthusiastic, we might, like, record, you know, the next one tomorrow or something.
But, yeah, I thought it'd be interesting because, you know, there's a whole cluster of them that
basically did the same song
in and around the same time, but not collaborating with each other.
So we're going from heavy metal, if you saw our video from yesterday, to beatbox.
Yeah, beatbox cover.
This is recording all in one day.
All right, this is going to be interesting.
Are you ready?
I think so.
Got that all out?
Yes.
All right, before we get going, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
Check out the description down below. You're going to find all our links, information, and stuff down there.
Now I got under the mic stand.
And I just dropped on the mic stand.
That probably sounded good.
Okay, all right.
It looks different there.
I know.
Somebody said I saw you.
The person you were kissing wasn't me.
And I will never ask you.
I just kept it to myself.
I don't wanna.
If you play me.
Keep it down there.
Close.
Cause my heart can't.
Make it any.
Warm.
If you creep.
Please don't let it show me.
Oh baby.
I don't wanna.
Weirdly enough, I recognize this.
Yeah?
Yeah.
From social media as it happens.
But I actually do recognize the song.
I wasn't expecting to recognize it.
Okay.
I'm surprised you don't recognize it actually.
Since I recognize it from social media.
Hmm.
Yeah, doesn't sound familiar to me.
Hmm.
They'll probably like.
Yeah.
Or so simply.
You know.
Listening to Taurus's next week.
You might recognize that more.
Don't know.
We shall see.
They're coming to me in the middle of the night.
Oh, yeah.
I think you're naughty when I hold you.
Hmm.
When you get in your eyes.
I can't believe.
And I don't even know the truth.
Hmm.
But baby.
Keep it to yourself.
I don't wanna.
You know.
If you play me.
Keep it down there.
Close.
Because my heart can't make it any warmer If you creepin' please don't let it show me
Oh baby, I don't wanna
Don't wanna, don't wanna, don't wanna know
Just the um...
That was it?
Yes. Um...
No, just the uh...
Breath control.
Yeah.
Looks like I have Princess Leia ears.
Headphones on my ears.
Those are headphones.
Now when I take my headphones off.
Um...
I need to cut my hair like him.
That's a Spaceballs reference.
Oh.
Oh, oh.
Those headphones, yeah.
I got it. I was...anyway.
Yeah.
Um...
Wonderful use of bass there.
Improver needs to do more bass stuff.
Yeah.
But how about just the breath control?
Yeah.
It's like he just went straight from doing that to singing.
Yes.
Finding out breath control is often.
Um...
Yeah, I think, I think...
I'm...
People are gonna argue because they always do.
Um...
It's like...
I think he used a little bit of looping in this one.
Kind of at the beginning.
None of the points when he was singing.
But there's a couple of spots right at the beginning.
Where it sounded like...
Um...
He'd, you know, recorded a phrase.
And had it looped a couple of times.
Mm.
Um...
And built on it.
But then it's like...
You know...
That didn't get used again.
Um...
Except for like maybe one spot in the middle.
And one spot towards the end.
Yeah.
Kind of thing.
Um...
But other than that, yeah.
It's like...
You know...
Again, you can clearly tell.
That it's all in mic and everything.
Because it's like...
The...
The pauses in the beatboxing that he makes.
In order to sing the lyrics.
Yeah.
Um...
But yeah, it's just...
Yeah.
I...
I wouldn't know how he does it.
I mean, I think that's how they do it.
But...
Yeah.
I'm not going to say what it is.
Yeah.
I'm impressed either way.
It's like...
Still takes your talent to have to do...
Edit it and do it like that anyway.
But...
Mm-hmm.
I mean, obviously it's more talent if you're doing it without it.
But...
Yeah.
Hey, you're one person with the mic.
Yeah.
But...
Well, even if you're doing the looping thing.
It's the case if you're doing it live in the moment.
Yeah.
It's not...
It's not like so many, you know, productions.
Where it's a case of, you know, they record 50 different takes and...
You know, just...
Yeah.
Pull a bit from this take and this take.
And a bit from this take and a bit from this take.
To, you know, make one...
You know, someone on an album.
It's kind of like...
It's all basically a one-shot record.
Yeah.
It's just, you know, he's got a little...
You know...
Control box to loop a section of it.
So that you can...
Yeah, and I mean...
Get away with making a couple of sounds at the same time.
That is physically impossible to do.
And I could be completely wrong.
He might not have actually have done that.
It just kind of...
It just sounded like...
It seemed like it to you.
Yeah.
It seemed like he'd done a phrase.
And then, you know, it like...
Yeah.
That exact phrase.
It's kind of like repeated like six times.
And it's kind of...
And I didn't.
Yeah.
Couldn't help.
I was impressed by it.
But honestly, it barely seemed any different than when you're playing a keyboard or something.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Whatever.
Like I said, people are going to see it one way or the other.
They're going to complain one way or the other.
So...
That's the way the world works.
So...
Hey, if you like it, you like it.
If you don't, you don't.
Very true.
And I liked it.
I never thought I would.
Yeah.
Get into beatboxing.
But hey, I'm impressed by it.
You know, I think it takes a lot of talents.
And we're obviously going to continue hitting him up along with these other ones like you mentioned.
Because other people have...
Other people have done the exact same song.
So...
So we're going to check them out.
So if you want to see them, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
