In this week's episode, we'll take you on a tour of a spacious three-bedroom unit at River Valley, transformed into a modern organic home. This three-bedroom apartment spans 1,400 sqft and features three bedrooms, a balcony, and a wet and dry kitchen.
Hey it's Juliana from Stagg and today we're at River Valley to tour a spacious three-bedroom
unit that has been transformed into a modern organic home. So as we tour the space later you
will easily notice how smart storage solutions have been integrated along with thoughtful design
for hosting and entertaining. This three-bedroom apartment is 1,400 square feet in size and it
currently features three bedrooms, a balcony and a wet and dry kitchen. The homeowners are a young
couple who moved in just a month ago and together with their interior designers and studio have
transformed the space into what you see here today. But okay all that out of the way let us begin this
tour. As you enter you'll be greeted by this dedicated entryway. So this is essentially a
corridor that has been fully maximized with full height cabinets along with pockets of open shelving.
These cabinets are used to store shoes and other items while the open shelving does still allow
for natural light to flow in from the windows creating a perfect balance of both form and
function. At the end of the entryway it opens up into the primary areas of this home and the first
thing that you'll notice is this dry kitchen. So there is a peninsula with a beautiful stone top
along with the reeded wood base and there's enough room to fit two on one side and storage on the
other. The homeowners love to entertain so this dry kitchen really comes in handy for prepping
and serving up drinks and meals to guests. There is a drink nook that is conveniently located right
by the bar counter and it houses a coffee machine, a wine fridge along with display shelving for their
liquor bottles. For serious cooking there's an enclosed section just for that. So through these
glass sliding doors you'll be able to find the wet kitchen along with the service yard and utility
closet and this area has been designed for simplicity and functionality while still letting
in lots of natural light and ventilation. In the living room the tall windows and the ceiling
height does help to create a bright and spacious feel and in the center of this room we have a
three-seated sofa with a good amount of distance to the tv console and surrounding this mounted tv
there is a combination of both enclosed storage and open shelving which does provide storage needs
without compromising on aesthetic appeal. Behind the living room is the dining area and it's simple
and elegant. So here there is a six-seater oval wooden table along with comfy leather chairs and
right above it is a sculptural pendant light that helps to anchor the room together and also gently
illuminate the space. In addition to the indoor dining space there is a rather sizable balcony
that can be used for fresco dining. So there is currently a four-seater dining table outside where
the homeowners can enjoy their meals in open air and if need be these glass sliding doors can be
opened to combine both the indoor and outdoor dining areas. Before we go on let me just share
with you about this exciting new development that will be launching this year, Jayden. Nestled in
the heart of the Jurong Lake District, Jayden is going to be the first mixed-use development in the
area. Enjoy the convenience and comfort of connected living with Jurong East MRT interchange,
shopping malls and more all within easy reach. Even major hubs in the western and central region
are all under 30 minutes away. But what is truly exciting is how Jayden is set to transform alongside
Jurong Lake District. So according to the URA Master Plan 2019, this area is set to become a
major business hub and a fantastic lifestyle destination. Jayden offers you a total of 368
residential units ranging from cozy one-bedroom to spacious four-bedroom homes and what is unique
over here is that Jayden isn't just your cookie cutter development. These units are flexible,
allowing you to customize your space with bespoke provisions to match your needs and lifestyle
perfectly. So if you'd like to learn more about Jayden, you can find out more in the description
box below. Alright now let's get back to our tour. A unique feature here is the hidden corridor that
is located behind these wall panels. So this design choice does help to keep the dining room
uncluttered while still maintaining a seamless flow to the space. And coming through this hidden
door you will notice that the arches to this door opening does match up to the arches of the
display shelving behind, creating a level of visual interest. But now let us head on to this
first room. Common bedroom number one has been fitted as a study and since the homeowners do
work from home pretty often, this room is very well utilized. We do have two work desks along
with full-height cabinetry so this makes it the perfect workspace with ample storage. And as with
the common areas, we do have tall ceilings and windows over here which does help this room feel
more spacious and airy. Right across from the study is the first common bathroom and it's finished
in the same design theme as the rest of this home. We do have the darker walnut tones that is used
for the vanity backsplash and this is nicely contrasted with the light gray tiles on both the
floor and walls. Moving on to the second common bedroom, this is a versatile room that is now being
used for a general purpose but will be the child's room in the future. So this room is comfortably
sized and can most definitely fit in a wardrobe and a queen-size bed. And finally the master bedroom.
So as you step in, you'll immediately notice the use of darker wood tones in this room.
On one side, we've got full height five-panel wardrobe that lines the entire wall and in the
middle of the room is a king-size bed with a custom built-in headboard that helps to pull
together the room beautifully. Right by the window is this full-width ledge that serves as a vanity
but also comes along with additional drawer storage as well as open display shelving. So I
do like how this wood detailing frames the windows to create this subtly more intimate feeling.
Behind this sliding door is the master bath and stepping in, you do find the vanity counter with
a double sink that is right in front of a window. It's not something that you see very often and for
a bath, it does have a good mix of both enclosed and open storage. Overall, this bath is definitely
luxurious in terms of size and design. Thanks for joining us today. As always, you can find out
