What REALLY Happened to Neanderthals 42,000 Years Ago is Terrifying
If one wishes to understand how the last Neanderthals of Europe were destroyed, there is no better place to look than the narrow belt of land stretching from the Charente to the Vienne and down toward the northern Dordogne in southwest France. Here, within a relatively small geographic radius, lie several sites whose final layers all end in the same violent, chaotic, abruptly terminated archaeological horizon, all around 42,000 years ago.
