American Girl Doll Hair Makeover: Watch the Transformation!

hi guys it's Avery welcome back to my Channel rues with Avery and this video is a little bit out of the ordinary we're not in the same setting normally we're in my room not the Slime room we're normally a bunch of doing slime and fidget things so today I thought why not just do I actually just got this new um our generation hair salon chair and my American Girl doll is in there you can see but I don't really have any Our Generation Dolls anymore I mean they're fun it's just they're they're really good actually cuz they're the knockoff brand for American you're like the Target brand but I just don't really use them anymore I really love my American girls but they're really good if you don't have that much money to be spending on 115 American Girl doll I got this one for my birthday and she's the 2024 American Girl of the Year Lyla mani and she's a gymnast and a horseback rider and I thought why not just do a video with her like in The Hair Chair because she's we're in 20124 right now she's the 2024 American Girl of the Year if you guys want to learn more about her on my channel you can look on the other videos you can just look up Ora Avery L Mon and you'll see a bunch of different videos of me doing like my birthday haul you'll see me explaining everything and a whole collection that I did and a bunch of things like that and a bunch of shorts all sorts of things and if you want to learn Le more about her story you can go to the americangirl.com website and see everything and learn all about her which is super good cuz it's just nice to get to learn about that on the American Girl website so this Hair Chair I'll show you the accessories it comes with with it comes with a blow dryer which actually turns on and then just keep letting it go and then press it to turn it off and it's actually really really cute and looks very realistic and it's actually super fun and then we have scissors which pretend like you're cutting they don't actually cut you can just see it's like pretending and I would not cut American Girl's hair cuz they are very expensive and very valuable that's why I'm going to keep them forever cuz I just want to get them to my kids someday that sounds really fun and then we have um two clips to put in their hair if you want to like put it back and then of course we have a brush this brush doesn't really work it gets kind of like stuck so we're going be using this pretend brush that I got in like a makeup set I don't even know and then these two things are for the surprise ending this is for the ending so I was kind of looking at my American Girl catalog to see what kind of hairstyle I should do for lla and I was like why not do French braids I'm not going to be taking out these pigtails cuz these are really hard to do but I am going to be taking out the scrunchies which are her hairs gets a little bit stuck in the um hair tie and then but it's fine cuz you're able to get it out and then we're going to do it on the other side but we're not going to be taking out the miniature hair tie cuz then that would just kind of ruin it and it's gets a little bit naughty at that part but now we're going to be moving it this way so you guys can see her beautiful long hair she has very beautiful long curly hair so it's kind of hard to brush through and this has something to do with the curls I'll tell you the pencil and the the spray bottle which has water in it it does it has something to do with the curls and her hair gets kind of frizzy when you brush it a lot but cuz it's kind of better cuz we're doing french braids I'm not really that experienced with doing dolls hair honestly so I just thought why not do this video we have nothing really else to do and now we're going to be making a part across her hair for the um braids I think they're pretty even and we're going to be starting on this side first just gonna make sure you guys can see that and we're gonna be putting the pigtail this way and we're going to be starting with taking half of this and half of this actually I don't really know what I'm doing actually honestly I might just brush it and then yeah her hair is a little bit naughty so we might want to brush it and yeah and make sure when you're doing your doll's hair that you have her hair all the way here cuz if it's here it's going to get stuck and it's just going to be a big hairy mess I do not really like hair balls all over I'm very organized clean person I don't want hair balls in my room or really anywhere I find them except for around my house because I don't really care about the hair balls I don't feel like cleaning up that often but I love cleaning up my room and I'm actually getting a room makeover soon so that video is going to be in a long time but it's going to be fun and now we're going to be taking this piece actually I'm actually going to face it right here and I'm going to go a little bit this way and then I'm going to take actually a little piece not a big piece I kind of thought I would take a big piece but it's actually hard to like make sure how much you're using because if you don't use the right amount it's going to get like naughty so I'm going to use about how much is in my pig tail for lla and I'm going to put it over like this and then the next half I'm going to be using is it's kind of so curly that any of you have curly hair I honestly think it's a little bit hard to brush but probably you who have curly hair are very used to it I have naturally straight hair so I don't go through this a lot and we're just going to be honestly keep grabbing because I have a gymnastics bar and I have lyla's competition set which you guys would see if you watch those videos honestly if you haven't watched the American Girl videos that I did you should watch them cuz they are really easy to learn about lyla's collection and really who she is and she's a very fun doll I spend a lot of time with her can you guys believe it's already like summer I just can't believe that it's literally summer already but then before you know it school is going to be coming back and that's kind of a bummer cuz I'm not the biggest fan of school it's kind of boring and but it's actually not that that boring I mean it's not boring but it's not horrible but before you know the Summer's going to be over which is kind of sad but yeah so I'm kind of just it's a little it's it doesn't look the best honestly but I'm really just trying to have fun and show you guys what I do I'm very creative and I don't really care how it looks I Just Want to Have Fun actually that's a complete lie I do really care how it looks if I mess up on a drawing I will have literally 1000 papers that are used in front of me and then just have like a pile of new papers and I'll keep messing ing up until literally the last one and I'll be like I'm such a lucky duck it's actually perfect and well this may not be perfect this is a little bit messy but I'm actually really proud of myself cuz I did not think I would be able to do this good and I do know I saw the pictures in my catalog that you have to that it's you have a bunch of space left to rec curl it and that's what the braid looks like from here actually kind of impressed because I did not think I would do that good and then we're going to be brushing her hair this brush was actually from a wooden toy set I think I got yeah comment below what your favorite hobby to do in the summer mine is definitely I I love to go in the ocean at the beach and I love to swim and if you guys didn't see my review on the pool it's a short definitely check that out and it's so much fun to go down a slide is really a great ad to a pool because if you instead of just like jumping in the pool you want to have something fun to go down and once you get it it is so much fun kind of messed up with the hair part but honestly it's fine I'm really just going to do my thing and um yeah this doesn't look that amazing I'm not that happy with myself so we're just going to take that out and we're just going to do like a instead of like that hairstyle I think I might just do one braid cuz doing two braids would be a lot of work very naughty now I'm a little bit sad cuz her hair so naughty but we're going to brush it because I am not going to just end this video do not give up even if things are getting hard in life don't give up always keep trying cuz if you keep trying something amazing might happen and if you would have stopped that thing wouldn't have happened so I'm trying really hard to make this her hair not get too frizzy but not like you know like this side's perfect this side's a little bit too frizzy but what I want to do is I'm just going to make honestly one braid and just do my thing and then I'm going to put it back get all her hair actually and then we're going to brush all the hair that I have to make it really soft this may seem a little bit boring right now but trust me it's going to just get better and we're going to brush cuz you always want to brush on top cuz you don't want there to be bumps everywhere I hate bumps in my hair like sometimes you know I always wear a pony I'll have to redo it like aund times if it's not perfect and yeah so there's some bumps but I'm just going to keep putting back and make it soft and not really bumpy and now we're going to look from the front to see what that looks like I actually think that looks pretty good and you know if even if the first hairstyle I did didn't work out you never know the second one could work out and I have hair tie on my hand that I could knot it with and we're it's a a little bit naughty but nothing ever bothered me anyway like in Frozen the cold never bothered me anyway the naughtiness of my hair NE or my doll's hair never bothered me anyway honestly just keep rolling and then you can fix it later it's fine just have fun that's the most important part not Perfection just have fun and we are I'd say done with my doll's hair and now it's for the surprise so I honestly have to rec curl my doll's hair every single day and honestly this doll only because I actually just got this Lun show yesterday so I'm not doing it every day but I try my best and I honestly was looking at a random Youtube channel today um a couple days ago and I fig and I learned that if you spray like the doll's hair like watch this I'll do like an example here and then I'm going to take her hair out and do her whole head with you guys well maybe not all of it but I just do as much as I think would work and then this is a a little bit hard cuz it's a big piece yeah I don't think this is going to work that was kind of a fail but you know what it's okay now we're going to be taking our hair out and curling it all over again literally the same thing I did yesterday just brush it it's actually kind of better now that that got wet because it honestly makes it a lot less frizzy and look at that curl yeah I did I did this yesterday just to make sure it would work for you guys and so I'll actually show you the magic now you guys been waiting where is this magic I need to see it but we're going to be doing that right now so you just spray the hair with the bottle and you just keep it like that and keep brushing and brushing it and then we have we swirl it just like this which you may thinking I did this all the time with my hair this hair is not americ this your hair is not American girl hair all textures are different but none hair will ever compare to American Girls American Girls is something and look at that it makes a curl and the curl is beautiful but you like to brush it oh I just brushed it what am I even doing so we're going to try to do that again and not even like we spray it a little we got this guys second time or it's normally third time's a charm but second time a charm I did it on the other side last time but I'm going to try doing it on this side because just seems like it will work out better honestly and for the reveal three two that worked yeah that worked okay we're going to be doing like four three or four more strips left because we want to give you guys the most that this actually works sometimes it's not always going to work but just sometimes you have magic happen and it works and I think it worked I think I'm just going to do it this way now cuz just it doesn't really matter how perfect it is just remember that you just should have fun and three two one it worked see remember just have fun this piece literally was just meant for me cuz I didn't even have to pick it that hard with all the knots and then literally like it looks like it's glued to her head but some random hair is coming in but three two one it curls her hair so I tried to give you guys the most I could give but it's just easier when you wet the hair because it just makes her hair 10 times easier to brush and I hate when my doll's hair is frzy look how much hair came up you probably can't like tell from the studio light but now we're going to be blow dry her hair [Applause] oh it doesn't actually have real air but it's honestly just fun cuz if you're little you don't want to have real air cuz it could be really hot and you don't really know what you're doing I didn't either when I was four and now I'm nine and next we're just going to be adding the hair ties back I believe and she actually looks really good oh my God and now we're going to be like brushing her curls because you can brush curls if you do them neatly and and she looks really really good so let's take her out of her salon chair to see how she looks oh she looks really really good I'm actually impressed of how I did the the first braids did not work out the second did and now this hair look out and look at these Aviator sweatpants tell me all those girls like the teenagers and stuff who doesn't like The Aviator sweatpants I don't I don't understand the point of them but if you like them good for you just be you but um they look super cute on American Girl Dolls because they're so famous and they're on American Girl Dolls that's like adorable and her cute top is adorable and look at the shoes they remind me of those Birkin Birkin stocks and then her hair and her beautiful eyes and her freckles I have freckles just like me across our noses and these are so cute and I rate this salon chair honestly a 10 out of 10 this is it may be the knockoff brand for American Girl like the Target brand but but this is only like $333 an American girls hair chair Just One Hair Chair like three accessories is $70 I love you American Girl but you are expensive like I love American Girl I have so many big sets from them I have a Basit that's at least $350 but well I don't know if it's $350 I think it's actually $250 yeah but I got that for like Christmas or something yeah I got it for Christmas it's like the ski lodge set but um this honestly is amazing because if American girls are $70 I'm not paying that much for something that this is better cuz it has more seating area it has this it has the straps and it comes with way more accessories and it comes with the real well technically real sound workking um hair blow dryer and I love American Girl why why I'm repeating myself but I love it but it's so it's so expensive one set is literally like the big sets like you know that kinsky Lodge house that is at least $350 and that's absolutely insane like it's so expensive so if you don't want to spend that much money I wouldn't either but I love American girl it's such good quality I want to give this doll to my kids someday cuz and my trly needle cuz why not I don't want to throw them out that's a waste of money but this is so much better for only $33 and our generation if you don't have that much and people who love American Girl and love our generation if you don't if you love American girl but you don't want to spend $350 on an American girl like house then just get the Our Generation Ski Lodge house I used to have that I liked it but it's gone to someplace better now cuz I didn't really use it as much so it's gone to some place better A lot of my Our Generation sets did which is good cuz you don't want to spr M you want to sell them on eBay or something like that and also eBay is a great brand they never knock you off and something discontinued like American Girl now for example or anything American Girl and it's brand new just get it it's pre-owned and it's technically brand new if they didn't use it like my ski lodge house and my ice cream truck just get it it's literally the same like it's literally just the same and you can just wash all the things if it's like really really pre-own then you don't have to get it but if it's not really pre-own and the person ever used it just get it and this hair here is so much money again if you don't have that money to be spending on all this American Girl stuff just get all the Our Generation stuff it's so much more affordable and it fits all H and in install so if you have an American Girl doll and you want outfits but you don't want to order them cuz it takes like two weeks and you also don't want to get them off of Amazon cuz it's the same brand and target has literally $15 outfits just go to Target or order or like pick up it or order it and just get our generation outfits they're so much more affordable but I love our generation and American Girl and I really think this is one of my favorite sets from our generation and it's also great for all 18 H stalls cuz all our generation stuff is 18 in things and these are 18in too so if you have any 18in dolls need a Hair Sal chair go for the out generation honestly out of all the brands my favorite hair SL chir is this R generation one I read it 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend buying it and I hope today that you guys liked my hair video may not may not have been perfect cuz I kept messing up the hair but I I think we still had fun and it was a pretty fun time just to have something to do we didn't really have a lot of stuff to do today so I just decided to do this fun video for you guys so I also want you guys
