Some Royal Dalton Sonic to show you in this video. This is the teacup and saucer.
I've also got the coffee cups and saucers, not the little cans but the full-size coffee cups
and saucers. They came on different size saucers though so if you are looking for the replacement
market do make sure that you buy the teacups and saucers as a set or certainly measure the
saucer and the inner well so it takes the teacup which is a different size to the coffee cup.
So plain rim with gilt. Sonic is this classic Royal Dalton green arch design. There's the
Royal Dalton Chinamark Sonic H5012 showing first quality. Factory checks have been completed and
this was sold as first quality at the time of sale. All the measurements for the teacup are
on the website. It's a sort of slightly sloping design, just a little bit of flare out at the
top of the rim. Plain handle, no gilt decoration, just white porcelain. Very nice elegant design
and that sits on a a very simple six inch diameter saucer. Plain rim with rich gilt,
central well which is the teacup saucer size. The coffee cup is slightly smaller and again these are
all matching. Sonic H5012 green period Chinamarks. Early production this one so there's no absolute
dates when they changed over the designs that they were using from the Concorde to the Palladio
design but they maintained from what we can work out the teacup design throughout production. So
we think these are 1971 through to around mid-1980s but they could be anything up to
1998 when Royal Dalton ceased production of this particular pattern. Very nice pieces,
10 of them going on sale and available. All date matched, all with the identical Chinamarks and
all in similar very bright condition. They're not absolutely mint, they have been used but as you
can see they're all in really nice fine and you've got to look them very carefully to find any marks
on them at all. They're near, very near mint. The link below will take you through to the website
listing. Because they made so many of these they're not a huge, I mean they're good value is
what I'm trying to get across. They're not very, very expensive despite them being now you know at
least 25 to 30 years old at the very youngest, coming up to 50 years the oldest. For vintage
China to find it in such good condition is not unusual because Sonic was one of their very, very
good selling pattern designs. It was very popular and they sold an awful lot of it. So there is
a good supply and it's a good choice if you're looking to put a dinner service together
in this sort of last quarter of the 20th century Royal Dalton style. Thanks for watching.
