If you're paying attention to your grocery bills, your gas prices or your 401k right now,
what I'm about to show you could be the difference between losing most of it or using it to build
generational wealth. Right now, inflation is sitting at 3%. That is 50% higher than the Fed's
targets. And whether or not we get a recession or not, different story. But what most people
don't understand is that this exact moment of fear and chaos is when the biggest wealth transfer in
history happens. The average American is spending $208 more per month than they were just one year
ago to maintain the exact same lifestyle. Your purchasing power is being destroyed. But while
everyone else is panicking and pulling their money out of the market, a small group of investors who
understand what's really happening, well, guess what? They're benefiting from this. My name is
Felix Breen. I'm an ex-investment banker. This is Rose down here. And I'm also the founder of
the GoToAccounting where I've taught over 20,000 students how to beat Wall Street at their own game.
And I'm also the co-founder of TradeVision.io, where we make institutional-grade news and data
available to retail investors. And my mission is to use my retirement to help regular ordinary
investors like you and me understand how the market really works and make better decisions,
have better strategies, and apply the same strategies that the wealthy and Wall Street use.
Inflation isn't just a problem. It's the biggest opportunity you're going to see in your lifetime,
in my humble opinion, that you need to act fast and you need to act smart. To start with, let me
show you what's happening right now in the U.S. economy because the mainstream media is not telling
you the full story. As I'm recording this, inflation is 3%. That's 50% higher than the Fed's
own target. But here is what that means for you. Gas prices are up 4%. Food prices are up more than
3%. Meats up 5%. Eggs even more. Housing, shelter, which is the biggest expense for most Americans,
that is 3.6% up. And the average American household is now spending $208 more per month
than they were a year ago for exactly the same stuff. That's $2,500 a year just evaporating from
your wallet. Now, this is from one year ago. Compared to 2021, you are spending, if you're an
average American household, $1,043 more and you're getting exactly the same stuff. So this isn't just
a normal economic fluctuation. It is a storm, a storm in which three forces are driving this
crisis. Storm number one are tariffs. Not a political statement whether tariffs are a good
idea or a bad idea, but tariffs are now effectively around about 20%. It's essentially a massive tax
on everything you buy. The second part is jobs. The job creation has slowed massively. And yes,
there is labor shortages in certain sectors, which is driving up wages, but it is only in
certain sectors. But that also adds to what we just covered already, the inflation issue,
because there is less labor supply because immigration has been cut back significantly.
Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm just saying that's a fact, right? There is a
lot less immigration. Therefore, there are less people who could do any given job. Therefore,
there is more inflation. And on top of that, you've got smart people like Moody's, the rating
agency, saying the economy is on the brink of recession. JP Morgan, the most important bank
in the world, certainly in the US, they say there is a very high recession probability. Is this
terrifying? A little. Is this a doom and gloom video? No, because I want to give you the actual
solution. I want to give you the opportunity here because this is not the end of the world. In fact,
this is exactly the kind of setup that creates wealth, a lot of wealth. Do you remember 2008?
The housing prime market collapsed by 30 or 40 percent. The S&P dropped by 50 percent. People
were terrified. People lost their homes. Unemployment hit 10 percent. But investors who
bought real estate at the bottom, they made like a 2 to 3x on that investment. If you bought the S&P
500 in 2009, when it was really, really miserably down, guess what you've made so far? You made
about a 7x return. Do you think this was an exception? Well, let me write down the same
sort of numbers, but this time for March 2020. The COVID crash in purple. The market dropped 34%
in 23 days, one of the fastest crash we've ever seen. And everyone's like, it's the end of the
world. But if you bought the dip, guess what? The S&P alone doubled in just two years. Tech stocks
like Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, they went absolutely to the moon. And real estate, well, they also went
up significantly as interest rates dropped and people wanted to move out of cities. Here's what
actually happens during a crisis and why the rich get richer. It's a four-stage cycle. Stage one
is panic. Prices fall because everyone's selling out of fear. The more fear there is, the more
people sell. The media amplifies the fear with doom and gloom headlines and regular investors
pull their money out at literally the worst possible time. That's when assets go on sale.
That's stage number one. Then you have stage number two, the bottom. And a very nice bottom
it is. Prices eventually hit rock bottom. That's when everything looks the scariest, but it's also
when the smart money starts buying. Now, the next stage is stage three. That's the recovery. But
most people are still too scared to get back in because it's so scary. And what happens then? Well,
we go to stage four, which is the boom. Confidence returns. Everybody wants to be back in the market.
But by now, prices are back to normal or even higher. And the people who bought at the bottom,
well, these guys here, they've made fortunes. And that boom then continues, by the way, until the
next panic. So why do most people miss this? Well, the reason most people don't get rich during a
crisis is simple. They let fear control their decisions. When prices are falling, it feels like
you're catching a falling knife. Your brain is screaming, danger! Get the heck out of here!
So the question is, how do you overcome that fear? How do you know what to buy? And how do you make
sure you're not just gambling? That's what I'm going to show you next. Now, before we get into
that exact strategy, if you are serious about investing, and if you want to learn the same
techniques that Wall Street uses to find winning stocks before they're exploited, in all market
conditions, up, down, sideways, and round and round she goes, then I've put together a free
training. It's literally just 15 minutes. You can watch it at phoenixfriends.org slash get free.
The skills you learn from that are insanely important. And I believe it's actually only
with those kind of skills that you can master the ups and downs of the market. Because once
you understand it, and once you master it, you're no longer scared of what's going on out there.
So phoenixfriends.org slash get free is the link for you. It's also down below in the description.
But let me give you some pointers about the strategy here. And the first step is how do
you survive? Before you can invest, you need to make sure you don't go broke. Cash is your weapon
in a crisis. You need to do some stuff that's a little bit less pleasant. You're like, I want to
get rich. I don't want to cut stuff. Yeah, but you need to cut unnecessary expenses. Go through your
expenses with a fine tooth comb. Go through your credit card statement. Do it every week. That's
what I'd say to you. Every Sunday, I go through all my finances, all my businesses, all my accounts,
all my expenditure, all my investments. One thing you're going to find is you're going to have
subscriptions that you get zero value from. You just don't use them. Cut the waste that doesn't
give you that joyous feeling, right? Every dollar you save now is a dollar you can invest at discount
prices. The second part, and that's really the second rule to this, is you need an emergency
fund. You need three to six months of money so you can weather the storm. It protects you if you
lose your job or you have an emergency. Now, do we keep this in cash? No, because cash just loses
value. It's guaranteed. Some sort of high yield savings account, something like that, you can get
four to five percent still right now. And it will give you confidence. It will give you calm. And
And then number four, it's increase your income. People live in this, in this box. I used to live
in that box. And I thought the only way my income could go up is if I stayed in the job longer or I
got a slightly better job in the same sector. But the world has changed, my friend. You can pick up
freelance work. You can do stuff outside of your job. And I'd highly recommend that. I wouldn't do
it in your job. And you're going to find something that you might actually enjoy more than what
you're doing right now. It might actually create a business. And the beautiful thing is when you
make this box a little bit bigger and you can make it a lot bigger, but it'll take you a little bit
of time. The every extra dollar you've got goes into your war chest, your investment chest. Now,
you might be thinking, OK, I can do that. I can invest in all that. But not every company is a
good company. Right. It's true. In every innovation cycle, 90 percent. Seriously, write this down. 90
percent of new innovating companies go bust. So picking them. Well, you need to be kind of good
at that. So if you want a safer, more stable place to invest your money in those tough times,
focus on what people need, not what they want. Food, health care, energy, utilities,
technology infrastructure. These businesses will survive and they'll thrive no matter what the
economy does. And that doesn't mean you have to just buy like utility companies. I mean, think
Procter & Gamble, think Coca-Cola, think Walmart. I think Amazon, you could add to that list because
it's such a big business. But I'm saying is essentially you want to look at quality. And
the second thing is you want to look for companies just like you that have low debt and high cash.
So these companies can weather the storm. So you basically want strong businesses, strong balance
sheets. And guess what? When the economy struggles, these guys are going to do well because
they're actually going to acquire those struggling competitors. I've actually built a tool. There's
a free version of that called Better Stocks GPT and it's inside our free community. And you can
get there just by going to FelixFriends.org resource. We're also going to put the link in
the description down below. Some limits on obviously usage. There's a premium version to it.
But if you just want to check out a couple of stocks and see is their balance sheet healthy,
it'll literally tell you that in a couple of seconds. And here's another thing I like. I like
companies with a history. I like companies that have shown that management can survive recessions.
They can bounce back stronger. So look at companies that were around in 2020,
were around in 2008, were around in 2000. And have a look at the stock chart.
Martin, you're up one million dollars. Yes.
And now you've lost all but six hundred dollars. You got greedy, Martin.
If you don't know how to pick individual stocks and if you're comfortable with that,
well, you can buy the whole S&P. You can literally buy it by an ETF like something like VU.
I put a video out last week actually on why I think maybe buying the S&P 100 and 500 could
be a better thing to do. So you can check that out. Just subscribe to the channel.
But historically, this VU thing, which is essentially the S&P 500 and there are other
ETFs and not in any way, shape or form sponsored by the Vanguard lot or anybody else. We don't
do any of that around here. It'll always recover. It certainly always has in the long term.
You must learn to think long term. Recovery takes time. It is usually a one to three year window
to come out of a real crisis. If you bought the S&P 500, so this thing up here,
if you bought that in 2009 and you held 10 years, not a sexy timeline, I get that. But guess what?
You made 400%. That's pretty good, right? So the wealth comes from patience, from holding
through the recovery, not from trying to time the bottom and the top of the mark.
Now, a word or two on noise. The media will scream doom and gloom. Your portfolio will go
down before it goes up. Your friends will tell you you're crazy and you should sell.
But if you've done your research and you've studied, you know what assets you hold,
you won't bottle out. After a crash, three to five years later, you're going to look back and say,
this was the best financial decision I ever made. So where everybody else is recovering,
you'll be well. And as Warren Buffett says, wealth is transferred from the impatient to the patient
during a crisis. Also, Charlie Munger. Let me know in the comments down below. I think I might have
been the great Charlie. So you understand the strategy. You've got the link to my further
training, if you'd expense it or get free. Let's get a little bit more tactical here.
This weekend, you're going to sit down and you're going to analyze what you've got.
What do you want to know? How much cash have you got? How much debt have you got? What's your
income? What's your expenses monthly? How much are you there for saving? And by how much could you
increase that by realistically? Be honest with yourself. Be brutal with yourself. And there was
one piece of advice I'd give you. Do this with your family. Do this with your spouse. Do this
with your children. If they're sort of over the age of five, six, seven, eight, it's a little bit
up to you. The earlier they understand this and the more you do this as a team, the more you guys
are going to succeed. The next action step, number two, is you want to start building that watch list.
You want to start building like, what are good companies? What sectors should I be in?
Central products, strong balance sheets, resilience, that's a good place to start.
Use the free tools you put into our community. There's a ton of research in there as well,
phoenixfunds.org resource. And then create a list. Don't list a thousand stocks, all right?
Ten stocks are just fine. Two to three index funds are just fine. And write down what you know
about this company. Write down what you like about this company. Write down what would make
you want to buy it and what would make you want to sell it. And what you then want to do in number,
point number three, is you want to start investing monthly. Now, don't wait for the perfect moment it
doesn't exist. Start investing a fixed amount every single month. If you have like $6,000,
invest $500 for 12 months. That's going to make it easy for you, right? You have $12,000. You do
$1,000 every month. That's the fixed cash sum you have. It removes the emotion. On top of that,
you're going to want to figure out how much can you take from your savings every month and put
into the market. Put this into a compound interest calculator. We've got one. It's free. It's
brilliant. Just type Goat Academy compound interest into Google. It's going to come up.
Click on that. Put in your numbers and just see over like 20 years. You're going to be alive for
20 years, right? You're not going to be dead in 20 years. Are you planning to die within 20 years?
Put at least 20 years in or 30 years in and see what happens to that money because people are
scared of the long term and that's why they still stay average. Set up an automatic monthly
investment and let it run on autopilot. And then the fourth point here, undoubtedly the most
important if you want to really, really be successful here, it is educate yourself. Watching
the news, watching CNBC, it doesn't count. That is not learning. That is freaking you out so you
run out and you buy something to make yourself feel better. That's the purpose of television,
by the way, right? This is television. That's all it is. It's nothing to do with people. It's
to do with the ratings. We have a whole educational playlist on this channel. You can watch all those
educational videos. They're also in the free community. It might be easier to find. Go in there,
watch those. That's actually just going to give you education. I'd recommend something like that.
Number five is actually the hardest part here. Stay patient. Stay disciplined. People don't
really want to do that, right? You'd be tempted to panic sell when things get worse. You'd be
tempted to buy the latest iPhone. Buy the stock, not the phone. I'd recommend getting yourself
somebody who holds you accountable. That's also one of the things we do inside our academy. Of
course, we have somebody who holds you accountable. We get you onto a weekly call and so on. That
really just gives you that discipline because you're now going to show your portfolio what the
heck you're doing every single week to an ex-investment banker. Now you're like, okay,
I better do this. Otherwise, I'm going to be in trouble. He's a nice guy and I respect him.
Therefore, I want to look good in front of him. We're likely in the early stages of a big shift
right now. I don't think we're going to get a recession particularly quickly. The simple
reason for that is that the U.S. government is spending $2 trillion it doesn't have every year,
like deficit, right? So they're basically just keeping the economy afloat. You took that out,
we'd be in a recession. What do you mean the bank is out of money? Insolvent? You only have
enough cash for the next three customers? And I know this sounds a little scary. It feels a little
risky. But the biggest risk, it's doing nothing. Inflation is definitely eating at your cash right
now. If you just sit on the sidelines, you're guaranteed to lose money. If you invest strategically,
you have a chance to build real wealth. It takes only one person, one person to shift their
mindset to build generational wealth. Wealth that is so significant that it'll always be there and
that your children and grandchildren would never have to work again. It literally is just that,
one person. And it doesn't even really depend that much on income. It depends entirely on strategy,
understanding money, understanding compound interest, patience, and the right mindset.
My hope today is that we're shifting you towards Mr. and Mrs. Strategic and that you got a ton
of value out of this. Go join the free community to get the research doc around this and all the
free tools that I mentioned. And if you got some value out of it, share it with somebody you think
might also benefit from a little bit of a shake up. Thanks for watching. I wish you great success.
