MICHELIN Guide: What Philadelphia restaurants will earn star? Here's how to watch live

We are just one day away from learning which Philadelphia restaurants will get recognition from Michelin. Yeah, tomorrow night, big night. Philadelphia hosting the 2025 Michelin Guide Northeast City Ceremony at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Our Alicia Vitarelli tells us what we can expect as local restaurants wait to see who might walk away with our city's first ever Michelin honors. It's huge. It is absolutely huge. I mean, Philly is such a food town. I think we've been clamoring for it and working towards it for a long time. And our day is now. Recognition from the Michelin Guide has long been considered the gold standard in the restaurant industry. And tomorrow, Philadelphia eateries will earn our city's first ever accolades. It's huge for each restaurant that's actually going to be in that room. And it's huge for the city. Inside the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will be honorees from the five cities included in the 2025 Michelin Guide Northeast Cities edition. That includes, of course, Philadelphia, Boston, another first time city, along with Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C. It's like the Academy Awards of food and beverage and culinary delicacies. And we're going to be Broadway. We're going to be Hollywood. We're going to be the center of it all because all those chefs and all that media from all those other markets have to come to our great Kimmel Center in Philadelphia to see who's won a chef's coat or not or a star or not. Or a mention known as a bib gourmand. Michelin inspectors have been in our city for months, covertly checking out our restaurant scene. The beauty of this process is how secretive it is. And I think there's whispers and murmurs maybe out there between chefs and restaurant owners about maybe who's invited. But we have no idea who's invited. We certainly have no idea who's going to win. Exciting. And the winners will be unveiled during the Michelin Guide Northeast Cities 2025 ceremony.
