France to Supply Ukraine With 100 Fighter Jets, Air Defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in France on Monday to seal deals with France on a supply of air-defense capabilities, warplanes, and missiles, seeking to bolster his army's long-term capacity to fight Russia's ongoing invasion.

Zelenskyy labelled the agreement with France on Monday to receive 100 Rafale warplanes a "historic deal."

“Firstly, Ukraine will be able to receive 100 Rafale fighter jets (and) very strong French radars—eight air-defense systems SAMP/T, each with six launching systems," he said.

Zelenskyy told journalists at the Elysee presidential palace in Paris that the agreement would boost "jobs, development of companies," and the "development of communities" in both nations.
