Spider-Man has proven to be one of films most popular superheroes by audiences and critics alike.
First with the trilogy starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst alongside a terrific bunch of
villains and the reboot in 2012 which saw Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone star in The Amazing
Spider-Man, an action-packed tale of young Peter Parker getting his spidey powers, fighting the
bad guy and falling in love with the girl. Now comes the sequel with Andrew truly comfortable
in his get-up and as Gwen Stacy, Emma again proves why she's loved by all.
Though this time it seems Spider-Man may have met his match against some new foes including Jamie
Foxx in what promises to be one of the biggest hits of the year, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Rise
of Electro. Please welcome Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Congratulations on the film and Andrew
I've got to say I'm a fan of the costume, I love the way you've done it. My question is and this
is true of any superhero, how do you make sure that your package looks appropriate in that costume?
It takes a lot of consideration because you don't want it to be overwhelming and also you don't
want it to be underwhelming. You don't want it to intimidate and you don't want it to
the opposite of intimidate. So yes there is thought but ultimately you have to trust that
what you have is enough. Because with great power comes great responsibility. Yes and I hear it's
extraordinarily powerful. Did you, what did you focus group it? How did you actually get it right?
You know what I, I, focus group? Oh Waleed. Classic Waleed. Classic Waleed. Listen I, I am, I had one focus group
and that focus group was Emma and she, she, she approved. Guys my 10 year old son Lewis had a
question. He would like to know why is there so much kissing in the film? Oh Lewis. It's a good
question. It is a really good question. It's pretty icky. Yeah it's pretty gross. Who's it worse for? Which one of you is it worse for?
Andrew or Emma? It's probably equal. It's equally bad. Equally bad Lewis. Um but you know I am, you know
one day, one day Lewis you'll, you'll get it. You'll understand. Now Emma I had no idea how big a Spice Girl
fan you were. I am also obsessed with the Spice Girls and I loved your reaction when you
uh got a question from Mel B. How big a fan are you? I'm clearly a very big fan. Your singing was
amazing too. I'm a very big fan. I was, I was truly um the word is obsessed. That's an overused word
in our, in our culture but I was obsessed with the Spice Girls for a very long time
and I last saw them in concert in 2007 which is pretty recent so um I also cried when they were
at the Olympics. I cry a lot around Spice Girls. And is it true Emma? Related issues. Is it true
Emma also that you're a bit of a geek girl and that you were going to be a website designer
before acting called? I don't know that I would have become a website designer but I was designing
websites yeah. When I was, when I was a kid yeah. For the Spice Girls? I really like.
We all do. I had no idea how viral it all would go one day. Yeah no I really, I think the internet's got a
future. There's another Spider-Man film in the works and you guys look about each about 10 years
younger than you actually are. Is there an anti-aging secret out there? Is there an anti-aging secret?
Um my mother has very youthful genes. Yeah you, you are going to look like you're 12 forever.
