Midstream last season for the quarter of the head coach great confidence and Mitch has done an unbelievable job over the summer
Recognizing his responsibility and the roles that he wanted these guys to play
Coming into this season interesting for Steve Kerr made the lineup switch on Wednesday
Kaminga and pods em ski out of the lineup and trying to get some more flow into this offense with we're Richard
It's been an incredibly pleasant surprise for Golden State
Alongside Moses Moody who has played very consistent Kevin so far for the Warriors this season as a three and D wing player
He's a big fan of moody
You just saw Steve Kerr and there's a look at Steph Curry averaging 27 points a game this season last year
24 a game
Officials our crew chief is Mark Davis our referee Brian Forte
Our umpire Brandon Schwab in the replay center
Jonathan Sterling
It's dear and Fox Golden State the 21st team and scoring good pass
Richard back out around the horn by the fire green inside Richard
You'll finish it off
season starting again tonight
And when the gamma comes out on him the stabilizing factor curve gushing about
Butler as green gets it off to curry and Fox's on a green screen switch three good
San Antonio is in the top eight in rating on offense and defense

Antonio their first home loss of the season to the Warriors Wednesday Castle
Golden State came limping into here after getting crushed in Oklahoma City one Wednesday coming out on fire tonight
Here comes Curry
Seven
Curry see how many times the Warriors involved cornet in this screen. So that's definitely come on
And manipulate just like that
What a stroke hundred players that have come through these doors, but the San Antonio Spurs it would say the same thing the stories
Tear on Fox in front of her jump Steve
Healed and when Benyama
Driving knocked away inside with the defense
nice swipe
And Fox the other way
Came in a trade with Sacramento inside tries to deal doubled in town
And was coached under him when Benyama
healed
Beautiful shot will drop
And they really do try to take advantage of transition of Victor being in the paint. It's one of the rare times
He's got both feet in there
three
Try to earn those minutes back. You're gonna come off the bench and change your mentality
It's a three
Patient and waiting and after that ball goes up no problem for Victor that time on the trademark green shot
Learn his 15th season
greatest green post of three
Well, we've had an interesting game because Golden State is three of
16 shooting threes San Antonio for 13
There's a three right out of my mouth and right through the twine by curry
It's off the curry over
4,000 threes he's made in the regular season
With the steel
Spurs got back in time
It's curry there is castle
Golden State is shooting
31% but a nice shot from outside right there burying another shot
It's a three for majestic
And the Warriors get Jimmy Butler involved trying to get him to that low post so they can play on the weak side
castle
And Johnson checks in for Cornett to an ass
46 the other night three the cell
For two tenth highest scoring team in the NBA, San Antonio, I've been Yama, too
In that game as well
Youngest duo ever to do it same team same game
And Jimmy getting to the middle he was on the rise and let that shot go
He knew Victor was tracking that one great touch from Jimmy Butler inside
Spurs are shooting 20% 36% for Golden State
Fox and Curry switch with castle
The day is the pride of curry goose
Fox on the wing when he's got the ball
The cell on the other side green defense shot clock at five to no one
Fox three
He's got to stay closer to Fox
Nice
And Antonio finish that second quarter
All-star last year rookie of the year a couple years ago here comes green in their window
We got that one to drop muscling for two
He's not gonna wait around. They need the flow and they got the win
They needed to maybe start this thing back in the right direction
Yeah, you think about all the boots ball movement and shooting is
Curry
The player like Jimmy Butler where Steve Kerr can turn to a guy who can have isolation possessions and
Create some offense. So he is literally the eye of the storm in the chaos of the warrior
Orford is in Butler is green Korea three
And again Kevin that's about the sixth time with Cornette on the floor the Warriors fall back on D
Here comes San Antonio
Good feet
The Chemsky
Gets the two on the reverse well a lot of work there by Jimmy Heald has come in
Jeff penny has come in
And he sails in for the deuce he's got four
Curry shifting driving scooping
It's curry retrieving the rebound
Sends off the deep water on the fly
And he smiles to go to the line
just
Amazing. He's the Sun in our solar system incredible player and teammates
He said guys because of like him and Ray the way they've been playing together
But overall, there's a quick steal and here we go
It's Fox to Cornette
It's Johnson ball was tipped the defensive green. It's retrieved by curry
And picked up here by heel
Steve Kerr not happy with those two sloppy plays by Golden State leaving the five easy points a three-pointer and transition
Shot clock at three four minutes ago in the third. It's curry
It's curry on top
Just amazing. He is a flamethrower
Yama on top
It kicks in its retreat by Fox and back to Wembley and inside
It's my champagne
Yama has got the ball
It's for Chomsky
Inside
Missing the second so head on the move
Machine coming off the bench
It's dear and Fox
Swerving in on projects keep feeding in the corner
It's a three the Warriors playing zone and that's the guy they would love to get the shot up to
Butler around the horn they go six to play in the fourth curry chisels fires
And he's got 43 points they did it off to the Salomon to
Curry has the last eight for the Warriors
45 for curry
He's got the last 10
For Golden State unreal finish step just leaning a little bit and then that high offer to get it to go
It's movie driving harms quick double in a flash right there by one baby on a
Chomsky's corner
It's for Chomsky with the three
And how about a GP to just step it up to massive threes for the Warriors here
If San Antonio wins they'll be a top group C
That's getting it
That's the result by green in the cup there hurry for two
by the crew
Chomsky the cutting cream. It's a one-point game Fox
three
24 and 10 in this quarter for San Antonio
Dive for the deuce through traffic
He's a one-man wrecking crew
With 6.4 to go straight to a shooter in the history of the game tonight
Has been and he just got back it's gonna be Fox
Antonio
With 49 step, how would you describe this emotion that we're seeing from you? I
Love this. I love this game. I love my teammates. I thank God every day. I get these opportunities to keep playing
And enjoy these type of moments like it's only game but 14
We're just trying to claw away and in some type of identity and momentum
But that was fun
They got a great team to come here. You went back to back games. It's huge for you back-to-back 40-point games
You got six of those in your career, but it's your first since 2022. What did this one in particularly take from you?
Just kind of digging deeper amount of myself to have fun like
The competition and understand how the game can kind of have a flow
Just the next shot just keep shooting keep trying to make the right play
But Gary Payton coming in knocking down those two threes out whore for playing great defense
BP taking that charge Jimmy finish at the basket Raymond, you know reading reacting like we all did it together
I know the points looked look great, but we all did it together to win
That's what we're trying to build on step after the night
You guys had an OKC to 72 hours later putting together these back-to-back performances
What does it say about what this group is capable of
That's why I know we get a lot of attention and we have our own
Expectations in our locker room that we can still win at a high level. That's all it is
We're just trying to live up to that. It's a long year. There's a lot of emotion a lot of ups and downs
We're just trying to like I said, just come out and find an identity
We haven't been able to do that earlier in the season, but these are two
gritty
Gutsy professional wins appreciate the time stuff congrats on the win. Appreciate you
Know I know different different situation
I
Know coach mentioned it before the game, but not being from the bay and understanding an icon that we was lost
John beam like sending all thoughts prayers to his family the whole Laney College community all of Oakland
Senseless violence is tough
It's in perspective what we get to do every day, but I know he was a legend and touched a lot of lives. So
Just want to acknowledge that I
Did not
Absolutely
It just keeps you engaged like I'm aware of everything it's pretty fun I
Ain't really I don't think I told I
Like the free does it in the game like you got to find something to take the nerves out and for me like that's just
embracing the moment and smiling having a good time when he started that especially with the
their
fan
Fanatics they got up there in the stands right behind the basket
I kind of wanted to acknowledge it and not let it surprise me. So I played into it
Thankfully, I made him
Yes, and no, I mean having played them back-to-back games and subtle adjustments that is always fun to
Try to figure out on the fly like and they were pretty fast and physical in the first half and
You know shots were a little hard to come by
But then we kind of settled into it and to your to your point about just the intensity the in-season tournament thing
it's working and a sense of
Giving you an atmosphere and something that feels a little different than just a normal regular season game
Guys really want to get to Vegas
How aware were you of tying Michael Jordan for 40-point games at your age?
Very aware. I did I threw up the yeah, I did it backwards though
It's the second time I've done that
but yeah, I was aware of it for sure something just I
Didn't know about it. You don't want to wait until last game and obviously he was asked about it and then
When I got over that number like that's pretty cool just from an individual
Accomplishment perspective just to be able to be in that type of company and longevity is something I pride myself on
So that was that was pretty cool
To the fact you were Nike's pregame
No, I'm free agent I'm out here there's new beginnings
I
was, you know blessed to have an unbelievable experience to take a chance on something that meant a lot to me over the last 13 years and
Extremely proud of what I you know myself my team
Everybody who was able to touch that business for that long
We all should be proud of what we were able to accomplish and taking a basketball brand or brand and category
That wasn't really a thing before
to where we did
but
I'm excited about the future
Just in the best interest of both parties, you know
The sneaker industry is difficult and like I said
You know things change over time and to the point of you give your best effort to
you know create something sustainable and
you know a little disappointing knowing how it turned out based on you know, where curry brand has been the last five years and
They announced we had two years ago, but I think it's the right thing for for everybody
man
For me to be able to take the opportunity with curry brand and what we've done in the community what we've done from
Standing for something, you know changing the game for good as our tagline and and and hopefully having something to show for it down the road
I'm excited about that
I
Think it's
One I know it's just weird seeming anything else other than my own shoes
but just the idea of
What he meant I've talked about Kobe a lot
and
That specific pair. I think it speaks for itself what it means
and other other than that it's just something that I wanted to take, you know,
advantage of that moment and you know pay tribute and
I
Believe you sticking with those shoes or testing out different companies pregame and how will that work? I
mean the good thing about this situation is I love my own shoes and I'm out there hooping like that's why I put those back
On and why I've designed, you know the kicks I have for as long as I have
But yeah, I'm gonna have some fun with this and now you said
Or like the question is in terms of being open to whatever opportunity is the right fit
but I'm gonna try everything out how much do you guys thrive when Draymond's in that kind of
Intention the intensity that he had with with women tonight. I
mean he takes those challenges on and the idea of
He's not afraid of any moment or any you know
Anybody on the other side and we know like women's gonna get his numbers. He's gonna have his moments. He's an unbelievable player
But over the course of the game, you're gonna make him work and
You're gonna feel him and I told him like you remind people who you are
it's not
about anything other than you know, making your presence felt he did exactly that and
Thankfully, we were able to make enough plays on the stretch where it mattered. So
That's why I dream on is who he is. He plays way above his size and he has his whole career
And you can you can ride with that type of energy any night
Yeah, we love it, I mean he's broken clipboards along the way he's gotten text he he gets fiery
This morning he gave he was in his bag in terms of his speech. He gave in our pregame meeting this morning and
you could tell like he still has that that fastball if he needs it and it's important for us to
Have that energy and you know, oh, of course 82 like we're all in this fight together
I think he talked about that this morning. He showed it out there and
Whether you win or lose like you just want to have a unit and a team that's together
coaches included
I've never heard him. Oh, I should say never he rarely talks about his Chicago days
And he gave some references to you know
How they approached
Their
their team and their identity by
Comparisons to like how a band comes together and everybody playing the role. You got your lead singers. You got your
your bass your
Acoustic electric whatever you got your drummers. You got the stagehands. You got the guy that's plugging in the speakers
He said he was just above plugging in the speakers guy
But it speaks to like it all matters there's value in all of that when a band is going on a tour and
I think Phil Jackson
instilled that in him and he used that as a reference for how we need to play and how we need to approach our
Identity it's gonna take a long time to get through this year in terms of doing that, but it's great to have a reference
Who you want to click deeper now, where we going what role of a person are you in the band?
Another word, what do you think?
Putting you at the front of that's hilarious. I don't depends on the night. All right tonight
I'll have a good reference for you. I'm uh, I was Haley Williams in Paramore tonight. That's pretty good
He's not bad. He's not bad. Well, he's not bad either. What a battle between
You know a guy
who's been doing this for a long time and continues to amaze at 37 and a
Young guy over there and he just destroys everything defensively
It's just so hard to get a an easy basket and every time you think you're you're free
he just comes out of nowhere and blocks a shot or gets in the way and
That was an incredible basketball game
High-level competition. I thought the Spurs defense was fantastic. They came out
Obviously after the other night when we were flowing and really moving the ball
They bottled us up pretty well, but really proud of our guys for sticking with it
Actually, I wasn't
but
Yeah, I mean I I still think about that photo of Steph, you know with Wimby running at him in Paris
I got to get that photo copied and put it put it in my house somewhere. But
Yeah, it's pretty remarkable watching
Wimby play just to see the
the versatility the poise everything he
Does to impact the game? He's a remarkable player
You played step 36 minutes tonight. I think the entire third you mentioned you guys were kind of getting bottled up
How much did it just feel like he was yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean we ended up with 18 assists
And we were trying to move the ball. I thought the intentions were great
But they were again super physical and Wimby was everywhere
we just couldn't really get our offense going and felt like we were gonna have to
to ride him, you know a few extra minutes and
We didn't plan on playing him the whole
Third I tried to take him out with about two minutes left
But there was no stoppage in play and he played the last eight, but you can see the difference
You know and his his rhythm is conditioning, you know now after you know being out for a week and I
think in some ways that helped his legs, but he needed a couple games to to get the conditioning and the rhythm back, but
Yeah, that was an incredible performance
How important do you see the response from this team these back-to-back games after the loss in OKC?
It's another great team like the Spurs. Yeah, so it's just a fantastic
You know two victories over
Hell of a team on their home floor
You know coming off that stretch where we were really struggling. So
I'm really proud of the team and
excited about where we are and where this is going as we look forward, but
We're only halfway through the trip. So we got some tough games left
He did everything he possibly could
Draymond is always gonna battle and he's one of the great competitors I've ever been around and
Obviously, you know, he was getting pretty emotional out there. It was a battle and
You know, he got he got the fifth foul and we took him out and then
You know Al came in did a really good job
Draymond came to me at the timeout at three minutes
And he said hey if that groups rolling you want to stay with him stay with them
And I I felt that way and I think I played out, you know a couple more possessions and then when they scored it
It's like I have to get Draymond back in the game and you know
the way he closed it beautiful assist to Steph on the out-of-bounds play and then
You know defensively just doing what he does. That was really
impressive
When Draymond is like out of his mind and very emotional, is it better to talk to him or just leave him alone?
No, no, he can't hear me when he's like that
But I was kind of out of my mind too. I got a technical too and
we're both we were both pretty emotional during that stretch and you know, the team really did a great job of
Kind of staying calm and poised and you know Steph just completely took over
You know the whole second half. I mean it was great in the first half too, but you could tell he was just feeling it and
Amazing to watch him play
Yeah, I mean it's it feels different when Gary is
You know playing like he has the last couple games and and you know
And we're giving in those minutes to pressure the ball, but also to contribute, you know, the to the overall defense
he's a he's a brilliant defender and you know, he obviously hit a couple of huge threes, but I
Just I think overall the defense has really stepped up the last couple games, but the offense has
Helped the defense by taking better care of the ball having better possessions, even though we struggled to make shots tonight
I liked our possessions
But they were so physical and we couldn't get past them
It felt like we had seven or eight possessions that went down to the last
Second of the shot clock and we just couldn't couldn't do much with them other than and and Steph and Jimmy
So we kept kept going to those two, obviously
But even then it was it was really tough
You know six seconds left has to hit both
Is any part of you like nervous or wondering if he might make I'm nervous
but I'm not wondering if he's gonna make them or not, you know, I mean, it's
obviously game on the line and
you know for him to
Step up there and knock him down. I think everybody expects it but
we shouldn't take that for granted, you know, that's that's pressure time and
then he just calmly stepped up and knocked him down and we all expected that but
That's just that's who he is between the intensity of the adjustments to this these two games feel like a mini playoffs. Yeah
Yeah, for sure. I mean obviously they're
rising, you know young team talented well coached and and
Really defensive minded. I thought they came out with
a really physical
Mindset tonight to take us out of our patterns and to try to put pressure on us and they did it
They did a really good job of that. So
It did feel like a playoff game, especially tonight the other night, you know
It was a little different a little looser a little freer and tonight felt more like the physicality of the playoffs after steps
Go ahead free throws. What were you expecting them to do on the farm?
Well, I thought I thought they might go to women Yama
But you know Draymond with six seconds left and dream on his physicality and his ability to get underneath
Wendy I understood why they went to Fox. I mean he was having a great game and
There's enough time where he can attack and and dribble Moses and and Gary executed the switch really well
We forced a tough shot
Ten points and three sisters three rebounds this kind of thing
Do you think of the ideal pods game closing out the game for this kind of way?
Yeah, he's lost two games. He's been brilliant and you know, it's he's just he's a little bit like dream on in that
What he does doesn't always
End up reflected in the box score, you know
He I thought his three was maybe the you know
The shot of the game from the top of the key and just kind of kept us right there
I think I think it cut it to one if I'm not mistaken
Obviously Steph hit everything but but BP's three Gary's two threes
You know guys stepping up to keep us in the game, but Brandon does so much out there. I thought he had a another great game
We are from Argentina we came here with my genoa leave because this person is celebrating 25 years in Spanish in Latin America
So you play with them? It should be
Good for you as a coach now
Would you like to have a managing only as a player in the Warriors?
And if Manu plays would what I like to have Manu Ginobili on my team
My gosh, would I would I ever?
Yeah, Manu
you know, I played with him my last year and it was his rookie year and
It was amazing watching him play, but also just who he was as a teammate
He he meant so much to the locker room just the chemistry the camaraderie the joy that he played with
the connection he had with the fans and
There's not a coach alive who wouldn't want to have Manu Ginobili on his team. Just a brilliant brilliant player
That'd be a hell of a backcourt and that'd be pretty nice yeah, all right
Thanks guys
