🎨Eugene de Blaas (1843-1931), also known as Eugene von Blaas or Eugenio Blaas, is considered a pioneer of Venetian genre painting.
De Blaas spent most of his life in Italy.
Inspired by the hustle and bustle of the streets of Venice, he found his distinctive style early on.
Many of his vividly colourful pictures depict scenes from the everyday life of late 19th-century Venetians.
