Luca Ximenes, known as DesX, is an artist born in L'Aquila in 1976, who lives and works in Rome.
Active in the underground cultural scene since the early 1990s, he intensified his artistic activity in 2011 by starting to create and exhibit his works in public spaces.
With a background in architecture, he has successfully combined his technical training with a deep passion for the visual arts, which he expresses and experiments with in a variety of forms, from oil painting to contemporary muralism and street art. His work demonstrates an ability to harmonize themes and content with the composition of space and context.
Present on both the national and international scene, Ximenes has participated in several Street Art festivals, such as Upfest in Bristol and the “ Sand Sea and Spray festival” in Blackpool .
