Arctic Blast Hits Millions Across US

More than 155 million people are under weather alerts as an Arctic blast moves across the country, bringing frigid temperatures from the Midwest to the Northeast. The cold air, broke off from the polar vortex over Canada, is setting record lows from the Midwest to the Deep South.

Chicago and western New York have already seen near whiteout conditions, forcing several school closures.
