President Donald Trump in Baltimore, Maryland Tuesday announced that the United States Navy, together with defense technology company Anduril Industries, will invest $6.6 billion for a new shipyard in Baltimore to build submarine parts for the Virginia-class submarine. Christian Brose, president and chief strategy officer of Anduril, said this project will create around 3,100 direct jobs and another 11,000 indirect jobs across the country.

Prosecutors announces the arrest of a Chinese couple in Arcadia, California on child abuse charges of at least 14 surrogate-born-children following a surrogacy scheme involving at least 21 children.

A man who was in charge of Germany’s national intelligence service has been arrested. Prosecutors say he is suspected of attempted treason and espionage, including passing political information to a foreign intelligence service over several years.
