Aishwarya Rai vs. Shweta Bachchan: Clash & Divorce DRAMA Unveiled!

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's daughter Shweta has been separated from her husband for almost a decade. While the couple has not gone the legal route and hasn't announced their divorce, things have come to an end in Shweta's marriage to Nikhil Nanda. Shweta was married off to the business tycoon Nikhil at a very young age. Prior to her marriage, Shweta was in a relationship with music director Nadeem. Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan did not approve of this relationship and to prevent the family's reputation, got Shweta immediately married off. She was not given any opportunity to pursue her dreams and relocated to Delhi after the wedding. Shweta's husband was not a huge fan of her garnering the limelight, in spite of her coming from a highly acclaimed Bollywood family. While still married, her husband was not at all happy when Shweta was applauded at a function in Delhi. According to eyewitness accounts, he threw a glass of wine he was holding on the floor and stepped out of the event in anger. It is widely assumed that Shweta was not appreciated and valued in her marriage. Once her children entered their teenage, Shweta bid goodbye to her Delhi life and came back to her parents' home, Jalsa. So, Shweta began living in Amitabh and Jaya's home which was also occupied by Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, and their daughter Aaradhya. Though things went smoothly for a while, Shweta's presence and interference in the household created rift within the Bachchan family. Amitabh Bachchan did not approve of her romantic link-up with actor Hrithik Roshan. By this time, Hrithik had divorced his wife and was apparently single. Since Amitabh Bachchan is highly traditional and conservative, he forbade Shweta from legally separating from Nikhil Nandar and marrying Hrithik. Regardless of her parents' disapproval, Shweta continued hooking up with Hrithik for almost a year. Kangana Ranaut's accusations against Hrithik gained media attention and Shweta who was forced to uphold her family's reputation distanced herself from Hrithik. Shweta never got along with Aishwarya and the disputes between Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya became much worse with Shweta's arrival. Amitabh Bachchan openly started supporting Shweta and her daughter Navya Nandar while ignoring Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya. Eventually, Aishwarya moved out of Jalsa and began to live separately with her daughter Nevertheless, Abhishek refused to abandon his parents and continued sharing his time between them, his wife, and his daughter. Even though the Bachchan family tried to keep up appearances with a united front, the division of Amitabh Bachchan's assets ended in further conflicts. Amitabh gave one of his bungalow named Pratiksha to Shweta and the remaining assets are said to be in Abhishek's name. Aishwarya and Jaya had a bitter showdown during the time of partition and Aishwarya has taken things to a new extreme. She no longer mingles with the Bachchans and was nowhere to be seen during the Diwali pujas which are an integral part of the Bachchan household's tradition. Shweta's arrival and her long stay in Mumbai pulled the family apart and even after doing all these, she does not show any sign or interest in going back to Delhi.
