Kim Kardashian, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor star in the new Hulu series about a successful divorce lawyer who runs an all-female law firm in Los Angeles.
I don't know if you're ready for this.
We're back now with Ryan Murphy's latest legal drama,
All's Fair.
The trailer alone broke records for Hulu.
57, over 57 million views in 24 hours.
No surprise for this star studded cast.
Joining us now, we have Kim Kardashian,
Niecy Nash,
Bets,
Sarah Paulson,
Janet Taylor,
and Naomi Watts.
Now you can give it all up.
That's right, wait until we end for everyone.
Naomi, are you raising the roof back there?
Oh, honey, honey, honey.
I'm telling you,
my squad cannot wait for this.
Everyone is talking about it and raving about it.
And so I want to talk about it.
But Kim, can I please start with you?
Because you made us grab our pearls
when you said that you had a brain aneurysm
on the Kardashians.
Is everything okay?
How are you feeling now?
Yes, you'll see in the next episode,
I did go and get a Prenuvo scan
and I had to end up going
and getting tons of other brain scans
at Cedars with all the team.
And so just tune in next week,
but everything works out.
Well, thank you for sharing what you shared right now
because we were concerned.
So glad it all was well.
It's just a good measure to go make sure
that you always check everything
and health is wealth.
And you just have to be careful
with everything that you do.
You really do, you really do.
The legal drama, the legal drama.
Now, the word on the street is
y'all didn't even have to read the script
and you signed on for this project.
That would be a fact.
Yeah, it's a fact?
Yeah, we all said yes before ever having read a script.
Have you ever done that?
I've never said yes to Ryan with having read a script.
I always say yes without reading anything.
And it's panned out all right for me.
So I think it's something I'm going to continue to do.
I wouldn't blame you at all.
Okay, we're going to show a clip right now
because Sarah, you've got a little bit of a gift
for the rest of the group here.
I do, I really do.
Let's see.
Meanwhile, you've kept your pathetic firm alive
with fake buzzwords like feminism
and industrial strength spanks.
So in honor of your big milestone,
I present you with a fruit basket.
Organic and lightly brushed with salmonella.
Oh, oh my goodness.
I think they had to bleep it out.
Well, it is morning television, you know.
It's early.
It is early.
I got to ask you this.
Who in real life would you want as your lawyer of this cast?
Niecy.
She's the boss.
Oh my gosh, it's universal?
Kim has the most actual legal knowledge,
but I would rather have Niecy in there.
She will just like, she would get me out of jail.
She would get me, you know.
She just handles it.
Like she's fast, no nonsense.
Yeah, and she's got your back.
So that's the one.
I mean, they not lying.
These are early morning facts.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'm the one.
You are the one.
Baby, until the wheels fall off.
And they're not falling off anytime soon.
Tiana, what is it like to be a part of this group?
I mean, it's amazing.
You know, it's a masterclass for me.
I get to...
She taught me this night.
I get to work with these lovely ladies, you know.
I get another sisterhood.
And, you know, it really feels amazing
to work with a whole bunch of girls, girls, you know.
Especially in a wicked industry like this, you know.
It's really dope.
And the thing of it is,
is that we really like each other in real life.
Like really, this is how you know.
When you get off of work on the weekends,
you usually look forward to leaving your coworkers,
but we don't like that.
It's like, anybody want to go for a walk?
I'm going on a hike.
Let's go do this.
Let's go do that.
You know, we really like each other.
I know.
And proof of that is, you know,
Glenn Close, of course, also part of the cast.
What about that pajama party?
One of the great nights of my life, personally.
Really?
We had a good time.
We did.
We watched Fatal Attraction.
I, embarrassingly, had never seen it, so.
You had never seen Fatal Attraction?
No, but I was waiting to watch it with Glenn.
I knew in the stars this was going to happen for me one day.
And so I knew that I wanted to wait and watch it with her.
But no, it was all the commentary
that she was giving during the film,
all the little like ins and outs and secrets and stuff
was so priceless to hear from her.
You know, a few drinks here and there.
Also, your mother made these cookies
that had like Glenn's face on it.
That like, I still haven't eaten it.
I put mine in the freezer.
I decided to save it for later.
This is an archive piece.
This is an archive cookie.
Yeah, it would be.
Well, you know, Glenn's not here.
Okay, but we're going to hear from her.
She has a question.
Here you go.
Hi, my wonderful women.
I know you're all on Good Morning America.
And I wanted to ask you a question.
If you were to write an autobiography,
which I hope all of you someday do,
what would be the title?
The name of our group chat.
Yeah.
What?
What did you just say?
Which will never be revealed.
Never.
Our group chat, which we could never say.
Oh, come on.
Or did you two do it?
It was me and Kim.
It was, yeah.
It can never be revealed.
Okay, but what would the title be?
Will There Be Dogs.
That's the title of my book.
Mine would be Will There Be Dogs.
Kim's would be, yeah, exactly.
Okay.
Yeah, Will There Be Dogs.
Mine would be, They Called Her Lola,
because I became an actress because of Lola Falana.
Really?
And I only answered to that as a little girl.
I've known you all these years,
but I did not know that.
That's a fact.
All right.
Yeah.
Well, I kind of did a memoir-esque,
which was called Dare I Say It,
and it's all about what you need to know about menopause.
But if it was strictly about my life,
I would say, I'm not done yet.
Yes.
I love that.
Oh, here we go.
Here we go, Sarah.
Yes.
Very nice.
All right, bring home, Tiana.
What would your title of your autobiography be?
I don't know.
I look flyer than everybody else in the room.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I never really thought about it, you know?
I think I'm still chasing, still grinding,
still hustling, you know?
Sounds like a good title.
Never getting comfortable.
That's a good title.
That's a good one.
Still chasing, still grinding.
Still hustling.
Y'all have done so many different things.
You cannot put any one of you in a box.
What has this experience been like,
to be with this stellar cast?
It's a blessing.
Yeah.
It really is.
I mean, I wake up sometimes, I wanna pinch myself,
and I'm very, very grateful for Ryan bringing us
all together, because this is like having
a new group of sisters.
It really is.
Yeah.
It's so rare that you get to go to work
with a group of women.
Usually it's you and a bunch of men,
and maybe one other woman that you're usually
in conflict with.
And in this case, we're all sisters.
We're rooting for each other.
Plus, the women that we bring in,
we're putting them back together on their two feet
and saying, you can reinvent.
You're better than this.
And we look fabulous doing it.
Oh my gosh.
I mean, the style, I'm just a shoegay.
We should have a shoe cam for all of y'all.
But what is the secret sauce with Brian Murphy?
What is it about him?
He taps in.
He knows what the audience wants.
He's got his finger on the pulse,
the cultural zeitgeist.
He's always aware.
And then he just brings it and trusts this group.
He's very careful in how he picks his group.
And I know that, because the first dinner
that we had where we all came together
and we all shared, we spilled the beans,
spilled the tea, and it was an instant click.
I love seeing your faces right now.
When you're talking about it.
I'm thinking about that dinner, right?
There's like this genius of Ryan Murphy
where he just knows that we would vibe
and connect before we even would.
Of course, I was amazed that these amazing actresses
would want to be a part of this project.
And I was just learning every single day,
but Ryan knew ahead of that.
He just saw the vision and knew that we would all get along
and knew to set that, this first dinner up
for all of us just to really get to know each other
before we went into filming.
And it was just the perfect night.
Yeah, well, you are the perfect cast.
I gotta tell you, I'm not kidding.
My family and friends are so excited.
Can't remember the last time we've been excited
to watch something like this.
So thank you for bringing it.
Thank you for being here.
We're out at Miecy Nash Betts and Naomi Watts.
Welcome.
Hi, ladies here.
Thank you for having us.
Yes, okay, so let's talk about the show.
But first I want to talk about the cast
because you guys seem like you're having
so much fun together.
You seem to really love each other.
Is there a group chat?
What's in that group chat?
There is a group chat.
Actually, we have two, one with Ryan and one without.
Both are saucy and spicy.
But the one with just the girls is extra.
And that's why you won't share the name of?
We can't even tell you the name of it.
But it must be so good.
It's too much for morning TV.
Oh, no way.
Late night, private, with a cocktail.
We might share.
Oh, that is so good.
So you guys are all gelling on this new project
that everyone's so excited about.
And you all signed on without reading the script.
Every last one of us.
What a leap of faith.
Well, it's the Ryan Murphy magic.
He is so wonderful.
He's a creative genius.
And so you know he's going to support you
and guide you through the process.
So we just all said yes,
and we figured it out after the yes.
I mean, he surrounds himself with a brilliant team.
He's got great writers.
You know, on screen, off the screen.
It's just a magical team that you know
you're gonna be in the hands of great collaborators
and supported well.
It seems like an incredible show.
We actually have a clip.
Okay, let's take a look.
Dr. Costa records every initial intake
just in case of a malpractice suit,
of which we are one of many.
And according to those notes, which we have right here,
our client was seeking merely a lip augmentation
and a dermabrasion, I think.
And it was your client who insisted she undergo
a neck lift, cheek and lip augmentation.
Wait, is that Jessica Simpson?
That's Jessica Simpson, yes.
Wow.
Okay, so I also want to ask,
because Nisi, you actually corrupted
some of your castmates.
Is that true?
This one?
You were teaching her.
I corrupted Jessica Simpson.
You were teaching her certain phrases.
Fantastic lines.
Tell us one of the things she taught you.
Come on, gloves.
You know, if you're wearing something.
Oh, don't look at me, I'll get it.
So if you looked at me today,
what piece would stand out to you?
Maybe my tie?
Come on, boobs.
Come on.
They are being recorded.
Good morning, TV.
Yes, you see, she just corrupted her.
Yeah.
And also.
That's forever on my record,
that I corrupted Naomi Watts.
Yes, put it on the resume.
She knows how to get it done.
She's the most efficient thinker.
She knows when we've got the scene,
and sometimes directors can get a little greedy.
They want to try it like this.
They want to try it like that.
And when we've done a great take,
she goes, what's wrong with that?
And everyone pays attention,
because it's true.
Because nothing is wrong with that.
It's time to move on.
Yeah.
So it was earlier on GMA,
Robin asked all the cast,
who would you want to have your lawyer?
And everyone said Nisi Nash.
What is it?
Why?
Why is there a lawyer?
Efficient, gets it done.
Girl boss, like, you name it.
She checks every box.
Recently, you've been serving the looks,
serving lots of things.
You went viral because you were traveling
with so much luggage.
I had so many things.
And when I was at the airport,
I didn't know someone recorded me
with all of the, a culture bomb.
Wait, this is all of them?
This is it.
Wait a minute.
So many, so many.
I see about six or seven.
That's not all of them.
How long was the trip?
I don't know.
We've been going forever.
How long have we been going?
I don't know.
You have so many events,
you just don't know.
We still have more to go.
I just needed my things.
I didn't know if it was gonna go viral.
I still haven't even responded to the comment.
I'm so ashamed.
I said, but you know,
I got bags of hair,
I got clothes,
I got shoes.
Everything you need.
I need things.
Handbags, all necessary items.
Yeah.
What's been your favorite part
about doing the show together?
Being with each other.
Yeah.
So much of the time you go to work
and you're like with a team of men
and you know,
not to say that's boring,
but you're girl's girl.
Yeah, but you can't gossip the same way
with your girls
that you can if you're on a set full of guys.
Right, right.
As soon as they say cut,
we're like, so what happened this weekend?
What did you say?
You know, it's a lot of that.
And then also,
when we're on tour,
usually doing the promotional part of things,
that's when it's like the hard work.
You really feel like,
oh, we've gotta get up,
we've gotta do this.
But not only do we have to get up
and do the dress-ups and everything,
we've got a nighttime event nearly every single night
and we don't care if we get five hours sleep.
I was gonna say,
do you go home and crash
back to the hotel and crash?
Or do you hang out?
We go hang out.
We do a few things.
Was there ever a moment
where you just couldn't get through a scene
because you were just having such a wonderful time?
Oh, many times.
That's when,
that is when Kim and Sarah Paulson
have a scene together.
We can forget it
because the two of them crack each other up.
What?
Once they start a giggle fit,
it's gonna be a lethal 30 minutes.
Everyone, take a break.
And Glenn is the one that'll look at us
and be like,
come on now, girls.
But then she will start laughing.
So when you,
it's like when you know you're not supposed to laugh,
that's when you crack.
Yeah, of course.
Thank you guys so much.
I cannot wait to watch the show.
All's Fair premieres November 4th
with three episodes streaming on Hulu
and Hulu on Disney Plus.
