My Green Garden

I changed the traffic noise through the bird's corner,
I changed the cell phone alarm clock through the rooster's corner,
I changed deadlines for seasons.
And what I found in this change was not the peace, it was meaning.
For a long time I believed that success was climbing, climbing, conquering, accumulating.
But one day I realized that the more I climbed, the further I got from the ground.
And it was when I came back to Earth that life started to make sense again.
Today, this is my office.
Here the report of the day is the corner ready, the result does not come in a spreadsheet, it comes on the ground,
it's simple, but it's concrete.
And maybe that's exactly what so many people are looking for without realizing it.
Seeking peace in simplicity is not regressing, it is having freedom,
because the difference between having less and needing less is huge.
I worked as a researcher.
I speak another language, I know how to program in several languages, I have a master's degree and doctorate,
I have ease with differential calculus and advanced physics.
And the question they ask me the most until today is,
why did you leave everything?
The answer is not romantic, it is mathematical.
I realized that it didn't make sense to change 8 hours a day for something that kept me away from myself.
Earn more to spend more to try to compensate for the lack of time.
It was a perfect cycle of dissatisfaction.
Here the account is different.
I work hard enough to live and I don't live to work endlessly.
The work here is physical, yes, it wears out a lot, but it has a rare quality.
The end of the day comes with a purpose.
When I lie in my bed, I know exactly what I did.
In the city I spent months on projects that I never saw the end of.
Here the result is in my hands, literally.
This is the kind of fatigue that heals and does not get sick.
I didn't leave the city to live in a farm in the countryside to run away from work.
I came here to run away from dependence.
In the city I was a slave of the salary to pay rent, the car, the health plan, the delivery,
the leisure that served as anesthesia for the stress of the work itself.
Living here I am a hostage of time and, honestly, I prefer to fight the rain a thousand times
than the tickets.
When you depend less, you start to breathe deeper.
The system teaches you that security is having money, but here I learned that security is having resources.
The fresh and natural food of our garden is my health plan, the sea is my market,
the starry sky is my therapy.
The system creates scarcity to sell solution.
The rat race is a completely flawed equation.
Work, win, spend and repeat.
The equation I chose is simple.
Work with purpose, have the essentials and focus on living life.
Lunch, which used to be cost, is now an investment.
I know the origin, I know the taste and I know the effort.
And when you understand the value of your own work, money is no longer the center of life.
I like to call it reverse engineering of freedom.
Basically, you can define how much you need to live.
And then you can work to make it cost as little as possible.
I myself reduced my cost of living by 60%.
What I stopped spending on transport, delivery and expensive leisure,
I invested in digital assets, work tools and infrastructure here in the farm.
I got out of the system's passives and bought autonomy.
And you know what's more curious?
When you start spending less, investing in your autonomy,
you need less courage to change your life.
A lot of people ask me about the safety of living as a CLT.
And I ask, what safety?
If the market fails, I have food.
If the economy breaks down, I have water.
If the system crashes, I have skills.
True security is not in the check, it is in the ability to adapt.
And this, no boss can take you away.
I know you may be thinking,
but can you live like this?
Can you make money away from the city to keep your standard of living?
And the answer is yes.
But money comes in other ways.
Today, the internet allows us to work anywhere in the world.
Today you can live surrounded by green, you can live on the beach,
you can live on top of a mountain and still have an income.
I, for example, sell knowledge.
I produce content, share experiences,
and this generates real value for those who seek the same path.
Others sell handcrafted products, lodgings, courses, consultancies,
or even plants and organic foods.
The secret is to understand that income needs to be born from your freedom,
and not from your prison.
Money becomes a consequence and not a reason.
Working on the internet, when you have a purpose,
is like planting invisible seeds.
They grow slowly, but when they flower, they sustain life without arresting you.
It is worth noting that not everything is romanticism, okay?
Nature has a very peculiar sense of humor.
You can spend hours irrigating, caring, working,
and still a tree falling.
The wind can decide to test your patience right in the harvest period.
But this chaos teaches you humility,
gives you the opportunity to grow based on your abilities, your autonomy.
Here you don't control anything, you just collaborate.
This is the most beautiful part of living in the field.
Here you have the ability and, mainly, the freedom to create, to transform.
Here you don't need to be stuck in the company's policies.
Your creativity is the limit.
If the message of this video resonates with you,
it's because maybe you're ready for change.
But calm down, because you don't need to drop everything tomorrow.
Freedom doesn't start with the change of concept.
It starts with the change of mentality.
Start thinking about it.
What is your biggest expense today that doesn't bring you real happiness?
What could you eliminate to get closer to your own autonomy?
Freedom is not a destination, but a process.
Today, when the sun sets and I look at my backyard,
I understand that what I did was not to leave the system,
because in the modern world it is impossible to leave it 100%.
But it is possible to live on the margins of the system.
This happens when we go back to what is essential to us.
Changing the course of events for the peace of planting in my backyard
was not an act of courage, but of lucidity.
If you've made it this far,
comment freedom so I know you really want to change your life.
I'll be staying here.
A big hug and see you in the next video.
Bye, bye.
