Welcome to the Conservation Starter || What is (art) (artefact) (heritage) (museum) conservation?

Do you know what art conservation, sometimes known as cultural material conservation, heritage conservation, museum conservation, or even art restoration is? Do you know about conservators and how we care for treasures and heirlooms?

Join me as I explain
where a conservator works (galleries, libraries, archives, museums and private practice)
what conservation works on (paper, photographs, ceramics, glass, wood, textiles, plastics, audiovisual material and born digital items, just to name a few!)
what conservation does (prevents damage, manages change and directly treats objects)
and how we do it (with a bit of science and a lot of laughing!)
