Extracurricular activities in school make students energetic and active. So extracurricular activities are just activities that you do outside of class. The Common App says that extracurricular activities “include arts, athletics, clubs, employment, personal commitments, and other pursuits.”
The vast array of extracurricular activities offered to school age children can be a pain for kids and parents both. Secondary schools and colleges similar emphasize the importance of extracurricular activities, but sometimes it can be difficult for students to see just how the extra time and devotion will benefit them. From strengthening the mind to promoting better time management skills, extracurricular activities can help students succeed in much more than just their academic actions.
