I have so much faith in you. It seems to me
that I could wait for your voice
in silence, for centuries
of darkness.
You know all the secrets,
like the sun:
you could make
geraniums and wild orange blossoms
bloom at the bottom of the
stone quarries, of the legendary
prisons.
I have so much faith in you. I am quiet
like the Arab wrapped
in the white barracano,
who listens to God ripening
the barley around his house.
