>> Russia launched an overnight attack on
the northeastern Ukrainian city of
Sunumi, injuring 11 residents, including
four children. Footage shows the night
sky lit by an orange glow followed by
sounds of explosions. People were also
seen evacuating as firefighters host
burning buildings and other structures.
Ukrainian officials say attack drones
damaged multiple residential buildings
and homes. Ukraine's train operator also
says the drones struck a passenger train
depot in Sumi, damaging its premises and
rolling stock.
Fighting also continues in the strategic
eastern transport hub of Porcros. Both
sides have recently been focusing their
attention on the city. This week,
Ukraine reported that about 200 Russian
troops have infiltrated the city in
small groups. Ukrainian President
Vladimir Zilinski provided another
update on Friday, saying he's optimistic
Ukraine will stop Russian advances.
We continue to destroy the occupier and
the most important thing is to stop
Russian assaults wherever and whenever
possible. The Russians want to turn our
whole country into what they're doing to
Prosk, to Kupansk, and to our other
towns and communities.
Zalinski also commented on the European
Union's 19th sanction package, which the
block is currently working on. The
Ukrainian president says the sanctions
target more than 50 individuals, mostly
Russians, who are working for Moscow in
the Ukraine war. And Ukraine reports
managing to destroy one of Russia's
advanced new hypersonic missiles. The
Kremlin previously touted them as being
invulnerable to air defense systems.
According to Ukraine, the incident took
place two years ago.
One of three Orchnik missiles was
successfully destroyed on their
territory. It was a very successful
mission and at that moment we did not
say a word about it, but time has passed
already.

claims and Russian officials didn't yet
