Making a Historical-Based Outfit from the Late 1800s Inspired by Deadwood

Hey All!

In this video, I take inspiration from the late 1800s and one of my favorite TV shows, Deadwood, to create an entire outfit from scratch. I love the show, but I know it can be hard to watch due to its graphic depiction of life from that time period, which as we all know is horrible for numerous reasons. So, I decided to channel my love for the show into something positive and create a beautiful outfit that feels similar to the costumes worn in the series.

I'll take you through the entire process, from choosing the fabrics to sewing the pieces together. You'll see (in time lapse) how I create the shirt and skirt combo, complete with overskirt and accessories, that are perfect for farm chores, horseback riding, and the like.
