Legal Battle Over Snap Funding
Jason Palmer, former Democratic presidential candidate and co-founder of TOGETHER!, and Bob McEwen, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives Ohio's Sixth District, joined a panel discussion with Steve Lance, Washington, D.C. bureau chief, and host of Capitol Report, to discuss the coalition of democrat-led states filing lawsuits against the Trump administration over the suspension of SNAP benefits during the government shutdown. The panel also discussed a bill that failed in the Senate on Tuesday that would have paid essential workers through the shutdown and President Trump holding diplomatic talks and negotiations in Asia, ahead of an anticipated meeting with Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping. The panel also dicussd the Federal Communications Commission's tightening of the rules on telecommunications gear made by Chinese companies deemed a national security risk.
