Ginelli, oh, can't make the kill block, oh stop it.
Yeah, now Italy's in the mode where they're just showing off and it is impressive,
albeit disheartening if you're Argentina. That set from Ginelli.
Answering right back, one-handed set nonetheless.
Oh yes, we've just got our first showy off hit from Tomasz Jeski on that angle.
Here's Big Russo, floats that in, Ran Takahashi receives, oh it's glorious,
it is glorious from Ishikawa. My buddy Riley Salmon used to call that the palm ball,
watch him just kind of catch that stop time, drop it right over the block.
Marek again, Yamamoto does a bit better this time and Onodera can only find Zatorski.
And this time Leon pulls another tool out of the toolkit, less power, more precision,
but still points. That slam dink is wonderful right there, just behind in the open scene
and you got to look at that dig from Zatorski, just crashing with the palms up.
Poland up by two, up by a set, oh yes, Zatorski. Somehow catch Marek stays out of the net,
they're calling for double touches but you can't call and challenge for double touch,
it's subjective, it's the ref's call, it doesn't matter, they have the point
and that ball has just sailed up into the top team. Catch Marek, he might get in trouble for this,
he's just been told off. How about Zatorski on that short shot, so much that he panicked it
off his forearm. Yeah I think I'll just go with the forearm. This right here, yeah that's getting
sticky. But what is very right is Miyaura serving, oh it's gone heavy again and Lavia
can get something on it and Michioletto can go over the three of them and even Yamamoto can't
get there. It's an important point for a couple of reasons, it closes the gap to one and it gets
Miyaura off the service line. I mean that is men's volleyball at its finest right there, just an
Oh good touches everywhere and so is that bit of a chicken wing from Shoji
and Jeschke with a very nice death touch, Russell loved it, the team loved it.
That was some more magic Michioletto but what a dig from Christensen right there to see that,
it's tremendously difficult and a great finish again from Jeschke.
20 points, the game's top scorer, one ahead of Miyaura, overpass, Ran Takahashi closes the door.
It seems like this set started about 30 seconds ago and it's already 10 to 4,
what is going on right here, it's go over the net. Defalco going a little bit too wide,
comes up with the point, TJ Defalco's had a bit of a roller coaster ride this VNL,
he has been, he's put in some incredible blocks and they've got the momentum
and he's got to be careful with that Mike, he's taking it in the air that he hasn't,
he hasn't called for a catch ball with the volley.
Yeah it's very unusual to go with two hands on that but just such
deft touch right there from Sluka. Michioletto, 14 points in the game,
Stolonski feeds it in, there's been that change to Sanchez, back in, oh that's Giannelli,
that's Giannelli having a swing, getting high, making a great contact.
I mean that's clearly part of their offensive and defensive strategy to hit.
That's a great serve, transition chance, oh good up by Shoji,
oh good set, oh well played Anderson, another chance for France, it will work,
Patry with the deftest of touches. I can't get over every contact Rabennikoff makes,
he does with this kind of like boyish smile on his face, it cracks me up and
they're all wonderful contacts too so that just makes it all the better. A couple great sets there
in that rally and again I can't help but think those bounces off the top of the block just going
right to French. Lavia receives, Belasso sets, Lavia swings, great touch by Ishikawa, Grant
can only touch it off the hands, what a set, what a swing, oh Romano.
How about the feint right there from Giannetti, goes up faces as if he's going to swing,
pumps it back to his opposite. Now Ishikawa is coming out, he's going to have a little
nice ball by Satorski, nice play, catch Marek, we're going to see a lot of that in this game,
players taking their hands away because they don't want to get tooled but the approach here
was never going to be one where you're going to get blockade. Yeah interesting I mean you know
that's just a... In fact he's coming to Poland to play his club volleyball next season, his first
season outside Argentina as Simone Giannelli just pulls everyone's pants down. Yeah it's just a bit
unfair at this point isn't it, every touch on the block seems to be just falling easily into the
defense of Italy from Kovacic. Two-point game, Yamamoto, Grant can't finish the job,
here we go Slovenia right back in the mix. A veteran coming through for them big right now,
big turnaround this forcing Japan,
Italy, well first time they've called a timeout in the first half of the set in the match
and again it's not as though Polonsky with the first touch, oh Belasso again,
he is playing out of his skin and the touch by Michieletto is majestic.
You said it, 22 years of age and already just veteran savvy out there right, we've already seen
a few plays that's one of them, we saw him go up, set it low into the block for the winner, I mean
oh that might have been going out, doesn't matter that went down in a flash from Legoff.
I like that play from Tilly though, if you're uncertain at all
absolutely you want to play that rather than watch it fall on the end line for a third successive
service point from Smith, just clipped it. Nice save by Tilly, great touch,
bit of a scramble, what can Smith do? That's just unbelievable right there from
everybody on the U.S. side, Defalco getting that ball off of his own block
right here, amazing to turn and find. In volleyball nation's league, 35 years old,
Longo Tutia dimes the pass, Jaski on the back, nicely picked up, deep ball it is,
Shoji underneath, Maha with the Midas touch, Ensign takes his first swing, take another,
great dig, it's going to be over the head, triple block waiting, sliding under is Jaski,
Longo Tutia recycles a bit,
is a charm, what an up pass, sliding underneath it, off blocker pulls off, not really.
Well watched by Tilly, good up by Grebennikov, well played, that's just got enough on that
inch, Nanezi Weber has another go, and he got himself a free swing. So much chaos happening
on France's side, but not sure why, Grebennikov had an incredible save forcing that middle,
they just couldn't get set up in time, no one goes up on him.
