Hideomi Fukatsu | 300IQ Volleyball Setter | The Brain of Volleyball Team Japan !!! Experience, precision, and volleyball intelligence—Hideomi Fukatsu brings all three to Japan’s offense. Born on June 1, 1990, in Aichi Prefecture, the 181 cm setter developed his game at Tokai University before building a long professional career at the highest level of Japanese volleyball.

Fukatsu joined Panasonic Panthers in 2013 and spent more than a decade with the club before moving to Wolfdogs Nagoya in 2024. Appointed Japan’s national team captain in 2017, he earned a reputation for careful setting, leadership, and bringing out the best in his attackers. His journey reflects years of persistence and dedication to the sport.

At 36, Fukatsu continued representing Japan in the Volleyball Nations League 2026. His official tournament statistics show seven points: one attack point, four blocks, and two aces.
