The Liberals have stated that they want to remove student influence in schools and introduce disciplinary punishments for students What are your thoughts on this
Yes my thoughts are that I have never heard of a silly decision like this First regarding student influence they say that students should have no influence over the curriculum
They don't really have that Not at all They can participate and be on the committee and then you have the student council at the schools and so on
Also in schools where students are involved in shaping the school climate and how to behave and how to make the school a bit more pleasant and that bullying shouldn't happen and so on
The schools function best absolutely This is one part of the proposal and regarding disciplinary actions there are already disciplinary actions in place
A teacher can send a student out of the classroom A disruptive student can be placed in another school room just to have peace and quiet If it's a high school student who is very disruptive they can be suspended for two weeks
Who is then going to make sure that person picks up the trash if it's a troublesome 18-year-old who doesn't function in a classroom and the teachers and principal have no control over that person
Are the teachers Should they hire special staff The smartest thing would be if there was chaos in many classes and it's mainly about poor leadership in schools and maybe not enough staff
It's students like these who bring the whole school down I'm very concerned about the entire school policy that the liberals are pushing I don't know what they're thinking
Why do you think the liberals are bringing up such an idea now
She is desperate The only policy they have had is education and I am sure that Lotta Edholm when she was principal when she had the role of minister for Simona would never in her life have proposed something like this
She was very knowledgeable in elementary school Now however it's some sort of situation as the liberals have ended up in no man's land by voting or saying they would not support a bourgeois government that includes them
They cannot expect any supportive voices They have ended up in a situation where they lack significance in politics and then comes one urgent proposal after another from a party leadership dominated by city politicians
When it comes to the municipalization of schools it was Göran Persson and the Social Democrats who did it a very long time ago And then you can look at the school policy that has been in place over the years After all we live in a country completely governed by centralism
We need a more decentralized policy We need it to work in schools in healthcare
How can one then get a better school when the conditions are as they are
Many said it was too early It was 50-60%
Over 60% say the Summer Institute in Gothenburg
People just think it will better if the state takes care of it and then they don't see the whole picture of what the state is doing
Also it's not that a lot of money is being invested in schools but it is in big cities It's not in small municipalities
So that doesn't hold It results in a general view of how Sweden looks and the flaws are not seen
It is this that is so alarming For us to have a functioning society the state's contributions must at least have the obligation to pursue a fair policy
So that everyone has the opportunity to have a better school Of course when the municipalities cut costs they tend to reduce school and elderly care
They don't save money on their own bureaucracy They don't save money on their own salaries in politics
Not spending on what one thinks can be cut the most never benefits schools or elderly care
No I don't agree with that view Those who call for the state don't really know what they're calling for
It can be just as bad for a public school as it is now
What would be required for small schools to remain and for there not to be such large classes as there are now
We need to change the subsidy system Why should big cities get the most money
A small school must for example invest in IT and hire IT teachers and all that stuff
Then you must at least get money so that it is enough for some service if you can develop it
So 14 000 is just not enough It's ridiculous The entire state subsidy system is wrong
Oh then just this centralization idea that is ruining Sweden and is fully popularizing us
It's life-threatening I mean just look at the battles over hospitals
It has even been a death threat against politicians because people are so desperate not to lose their home care
One must see so the state does not take responsibility for the entire country The Riksdag does not take responsibility for the entire country
A majority of city politicians sit in the Riksdag and govern according to their own conditions
They have no idea what life is like in a small community a rural area or a sparsely populated school
There must be a change It's not enough to just call on the state It's dangerous
What would need to change in Stockholm and in the Riksdag to achieve a clearer focus on the countryside
I wish we had a new constitutional commission You have large parts of the countryside and they have no representation in the parliament at all
You can from the countryside and outside spot a person coming in
Once a person or party enters the parliament it is the central party leadership that decides
If you go against a decision even if you have promised to harm your own voters you are out of power and have no career
We need a new constitutional commission that ensures the entire Sweden is represented
Oh and you can also get representatives who are passionate and have the opportunity to do something for the smaller municipalities and the countryside
It's about small municipalities and the countryside It's becoming a big divide between the large stations that get everything
The biggest contributors of all And the others the small ones they get nothing
