What's up, guys? So, a friend of mine uh
asked me to uh buy two cameras for him.
So, I usually don't uh review cameras or
at least uh it's been quite some time
since I last reviewed a camera because
honestly, I think they have gotten
really boring. I mean, I do use cameras
myself honestly. Uh here is like a list
of cameras I am using. It's HQ plus.
They were just installed previously and
then I just kept rolling with them.
There isn't a strong reason. See there
are a bunch of cameras installed. Some
are through DVR, some are new modern
ones. It has two cameras inside it. One
rotates 360°, one is wide angle that
stays fixed. It is one camera with two
lenses. You can see uh or one camera
with two cameras whatever it makes
sense. So if we go into it, if there are
no reflections, you can see there is one
down below. And if I rotate, I can
see the one in
the I see two. This is the first one.
This is the second view. So, it has
bunch of cameras. So, I use bunch of
cameras. I just don't review them on
this channel and the reason it pretty
simple. I think they have gotten boring.
But anyway, someone asked me and I
looked around and uh I found this pretty
interesting. The usually the cameras
that are smart cameras that I have that
I am using requires an SD card to be
inserted directly inside them or there
is a DVR that uses analog to connect
with them. I have I don't have ones with
the NVR. So this one these one are new.
These are modern internet based and uh
yet they have this centralized hub in
which you can not only I think it should
have come with a built-in storage but uh
that storage expandable it is
centralized. So the camera itself does
not have a storage. They also looked
cool and they were reach uh had
batteries with them. I I don't think I
have any camera that has batteries in
it. So they claimed it can last you up
to 210 days which is big claim. I'm not
sure if it would live up to it but let's
assume it lives up to half of that. It
is still a good battery life. So 2K
video recording 140 degree wide angle
view. So bunch of thing it is uh it name
is bas made by bas security and one
outdoor camera. So it is two cam kit. I
think there will be uh more as well but
my requirement was just two. So, let's
check it out quickly and see. It works
with Alexa, Amazon uh and uh Amazon
Alexa and Google Home. But honestly, I
never care about these things. I never
use them. So, I don't care if they work
with Amazon Alexa or Google Home. I
really don't
care. Here you
are. Solid packaging wise. Nothing in
this is that can make you feel like it
is a cheap or anything. And these are I
I don't think these are even cheap. So
you it is expected code packaging solid
packaging cannot be damaged. So that's a
good one. I just lifted it up and I can
tell you that there is a significant
weight to it. And the weight it's not
that it is weight. It feels more like a
premium weight. Something that you can
hold in your hands. It feels like, hey,
this thing is premium. It is not cheap.
So, it's that kind of a weight. It has
LEDs on top. This is camera. What is
this? Probably infrared, but I'm not
sure. And then we have type-C here.
These are waterproof. So, that's why it
is sealed here. These have speaker for
two-way communication. See, we have
type-C here. These are speaker for
two-way communication. Screws to mount
them.
And
uh pretty good looks good. In fact, this
is the most beautiful camera I have ever
ordered. Period. I would say that uh the
as ones with that comes from as they do
the job. They are significantly cheaper
than these ones, but their plastic is
not this premium. They requires an SD
card to be inserted right into them and
they don't look this
good. Moving
on. Other
camera. Same as
before. Nothing new here. This is the
story that I found really interesting.
The centralized one. Is it same as the
NVR or is it different? I'm not sure. It
says here bas security security H1 home
station. So they're not calling it NVR.
So not sure if it is a different
technology. It takes it gives you 10. So
it has an output input. It takes 24 volt
uh 24 watt power. 24 watt right
here. We'll
see. Again, it has a weight giving it a
premium feeling. You have the Ethernet
port here. Then this is the power port
and this is for the USB uh port I think
in case you want to get data off of it.
And this is alarm. So we have alarm
option as well. If you come closely they
have a sync alarm. We will see what sync
sync probably will sync it to uh cloud
or something and then then there will be
alarm which should trigger some kind of
alarm. So we will see about that. So
these are all the ports. I can see that
these are for heat dissipation. So maybe
there is a fan or just simple heat
dissipation. Okay, if I take it
out, please switch off for safe
drive insertion removal. So is there
a drive here? I need to screw unscrew
this one. So there seems to be some kind
of drive inside it and we have to
unscrew it to find out and get into it.
Let's
just Okay, this is
magnetic. See, let's see what else is
there here. I think there should be at
least adapters or something like that.
Again, this is not review video. I don't
know what is coming inside it. So, my
apologies in case you find this video
too boring at too slow pace because I am
just opening them up and giving you my
impressions. There is no pre-work
involved here. was I so we have the
adapter one thing I would say that there
is a theme to it you usually you don't
find everything is white then black and
the silver I mean there is a good theme
here they could have made them any color
but they feel premium look good ones so
credit where it is due adapter is also a
white color so again credit where it is
due cable I'm not so sure what model
What is it? Is it cat 6 or cat 8? It is
cat
5e. Okay, this is USB A to type
C. Is it
one? Shouldn't there be
two? I don't understand.
I feel like there should
be Why
is there just
one type A to type C
cable? I'm
confused. Also, I'm confused if it I had
a feeling this would work with Wi-Fi,
but now that I see it, I have a feeling
it does not. If it does not, I will not
be able to give it to the friend I
mentioned. Maybe I did some poor
research or
something. Also, I'm confused like why
is there just one type A to type C
cable? We have some documentation here.
Guide. Okay. We have some
streakers. Rent guard. This is for
installation or something like
that. We'll see. And that's
it. It does mention Wi-Fi, so hopefully
it will have Wi-Fi. It It uses radio
frequency to connect with the cameras.
Each camera has a 2K resolution and the
color night
vision. It takes 10 watt input and it is
IP67 waterproof. Each camera is IP67
waterproof. It does require hard drive
which I not sure if I have I do have
spare hard drive. So we are good in that
regard. Okay. Okay. Okay. We have some
screws here. This is for reset probably.
Where is the reset button? This is the
reset button. So, they send you a pin,
some screws
here. One thing that I would say I
find strange is that these cameras need
to be charged. I don't think they are
equipped to
be always connected to the power which
was a use case I was looking forward to.
I mean I was looking for a use case in
which these will be battery kept in case
the there is no power but I also wanted
them to be connected with the power.
So it can still be achieved but I don't
think if it it is the right. Okay. So we
have
this. Okay. That's why there is one
cable. Let's try to see what is inside
it.
This is where the drive will be
installed. All right. So, this is where
the drive will go. And I just verified
it will be the 2.5 in HDD or SSD. Uh so,
and it already has a built-in 16 GB
memory. So, but if you want to expand
it, you can expand it up to 16 terbte
with again laptop sized version. You
cannot install the PC hard drive inside
it. So, just be aware that the PC
version will not go. The laptop uh
version of HDD or SSD will go here which
is 2.5
in. But since we do have the built-in
memory, we are good for in that regard.
It is asking me to press sync. Let's do
that for 5 seconds. And it says then it
will start flashing. Pairing request.
Press the sync button on the back to
accept
it. And it found it.
[Music]
and done. Now it's turn for the
camera. So this hub session may connect
to multiple cameras. We are looking for
the N1
outdoor. So, we need to press the sync
button for 5
seconds. It is flashing blue. Let's
go. You need to ready to add the device.
Add the device successfully.
Let's set
randomly and the video is here. But
let's first set the other
one. Add the other
camera. One, two, three, four,
five. Blinking blue. Home
station. Ready to add the device.
Pairing.
Add the device successfully.
And we have a
video. We also have the
Oh, there is audio. Again, these are
two-way call cameras, so makes
sense. Now, the question is, what if the
home station goes offline? Will it still
work? That's the question. So,
let's remove the
cable. And
oh, let's see if I can still access the
cameras.
Now let's ignore the firmware
update. Looks like it
cannot. So at the
end the only way to access these cameras
is through the home hub
station which is a disappointment.
And if I go here with the same with
other same with
other audio quality is also good. Let me
turn on the night vision
here. Can I? So we have black wire.
Let's turn on the spotlight
one. That's not a good response
time. So, it looks like it is
intelligent enough to detect that lights
are on. So, it is not
Hello. Hello. Testing, testing,
testing. Hey guys. So, this is the sound
quality of the speaker that is inside
one of these cameras. And uh I think the
sound quality is neat. Uh it is clear
and you can easily understand what other
person is trying to say and it is loud
enough. So let me show you other some
other settings. You can see is camera.
It has 70% battery life. You can turn it
on or off here. Right now it is an
optimal battery life. All motion
detection. There will be multiple
sensitivity activities on what kind of
motion you want. For example, I can say
I only want to detect human motion. Here
you can adjust sensitivity. You can
define area define which I'm not
interested right
now. Then we have the power management,
optimal battery, power saving, optimal
surveillance. All those settings are
here. Video settings, you can say
watermark. I don't want
watermark. So turn
off. What kind of night vision do you
want? Black and white spotlight. That
one privacy zones in case you want
something to be not covered. You have
the speaker and microphone volumes
here. We have the
notifications, general
settings. This is status LED if you want
to keep it on or off. And there are
bunch of other settings. All the modern
camera settings are here. The camera
themselves are beautiful. They can
connect to a hub which then and their
storage is expandable. So, they will
work even if you don't have I think they
will work even if you don't have the
internet, right? Yeah, I think they
should. Let's go to the home station. It
is also asking you to update it. Let's
ignore it for now. It tells you that
there are two cameras online right
now. Two devices are to give you how
much storage is occupied.
We have the device sharing, audio
settings, speaker volume, device
sharing. So, first it was my uh
understanding that uh you cannot use
this home station without connecting it
with an Ethernet port using a cable like
this. But after going through the app,
actually, I just figured it out that you
can actually use it with Wi-Fi without
this Ethernet port. But to first pair it
uh you need to uh use this Ethernet
port. So once you have paired it
everything is done then actually you can
go through the app and come to the
connection settings right here and you
can see
that we have Wi-Fi network setup and
configured Wi-Fi. So I have configured
it. So if you come here, you will be
able to see uh that you have the option
to select it with Ethernet. Now that I
have configured it, it uh again it will
still work with Ethernet if you uh plug
it in. It will always prefer Ethernet.
But if you have configured the Wi-Fi,
then if you remove this Ethernet cable,
right now it is blue. If you can make it
out, if I remove it, it should take a
sec few seconds. As you can see, it is
red
now. It should take a few
seconds to turn itself blue
again to switch to
Wi-Fi. Let's see if it does. Okay, there
you are. Blue again. So, it switched to
Wi-Fi. So, you can use it with Wi-Fi.
You don't necessarily need it like this
Ethernet cable forever, but first time
you need it. It is still an issue for
me. I would have liked if uh you did not
need a Ethernet cable at all. You should
have been able to configure it without
Ethernet like many other cameras out
there, smart cameras. But at least we
have the option to connect it with the
Wi-Fi. So that's good thing. So at the
time of making this video, it is listed
on AliExpress for around
$1880. Yes, $180.
And I think uh I find them a little
pricey. I a person who uh go for value a
lot and uh best value for money and I
feel like they are uh these are on the
pricey side. Uh so that is my opinion
toward when it comes to price. But in
terms of quality I always uh from the
start when I picked them up I found them
premium. There is a weight that comes
with the premiumness. The plastic is
really good. Everything is sealed. The
sound quality, the camera quality, uh
everything was good. Hardware provided
was also good. And they claim a 210 days
battery. Again, it is no not possible
for me to verify it as I'm uh just
making in a first impressions video. But
quality is there. Uh if you say like,
hey, do they even provide the quality
they for the price they are asking for?
I think the price is on the higher side,
but the quality is still there. You have
the 16 GB built-in memory. You can
expand it if you would like. Ethernet
plus Wi-Fi connection. These all connect
wirelessly with it. They have spotlights
in them and infrared quality was also
good. The video quality was also good.
So, I think even the sound test was
really good. So, I think the quality is
there. Just know that they are on the
pricey side. So if you are able to find
something better in low price, go for
it. But if you can uh you think if
something is good, you don't mind paying
the price, then I wouldn't uh mind
recommending them to you. So let me know
what you think. Take care. Bye.
