After using a few no-touch thermometers that eventually started giving me inaccurate readings, I decided to try the iHealth Infrared No-Touch Forehead Thermometer. In this video, I share my personal experience with it — from accuracy and ease of use to how well it works for quick family temperature checks. If you’re looking for a reliable contactless thermometer, this iHealth model might be the one to consider.

What's up guys? Today we are checking
out this eye health temperature monitor
for fever related things. I have tried
some from different brands like certaser
and some more others but they were hit
and miss and stopped working accurately
after some time. So this is under
Xiaomi's brand and I do like Xiaomi's
brand in the sense that I do find them
uh kind of trustworthy. Their products
are usually
uh even when cheaper, they are made of
good quality. So let's give this one a
try. I have four kids, so having a
thermometer, a good thermometer is a
must for me. So you have uh some
documentation here and then this box
which has the thermometer.
The batteries are also inside it, but
they're already kind of leaked. Maybe
this is an older version that they sent
me.
Uh say they are giving instructions like
try to center it around the eyebrows on
the forehead and not anywhere else to
get good reading.
This is the screen where the reading
will show up.
If we are talking about the overall
design, this glass like clear glass, it
is a plastic but it is clear glass
plastic type. Looks really good that we
have the button and two lights. One
probably for the laser and one for the
actual reading or something like that.
The two battery AAA
yeah batteries will go here. I have AAA
batteries with me, so I don't need them.
But it looks like the ones they sent me
seems to be leaking out and they're not
in a condition that I can use them. It
is probably an older package that they
sent me. But as long as the thermometer
works, the battery is not an issue. I
have them with me. Let me get them.
Got them. These are like two AAA
batteries. I already always keep boxes
of double A, AAA, G1 button cell
batteries with me
because you never know when you will
need them.
I never rely on the batteries being sent
by the brands.
Okay, there is some kind of vibration
feedback. As soon as I plugged it in,
there was a vibration feedback. So
that's good. It means that once it has
taken reading, it may give you vibration
feedback as well. Let's try it on my
hand. Let's press it.
So it has a light
white light like this, which looks
really nice.
How does it take a reading?
Do I need to do something?
Okay. Let me check the documentation.
I'm still not sure how to take a
reading.
It vibrates when it gives you reading.
It is giving you 3620. I am wondering if
I can change it to something like uh
foreign. Let me read the documentation
and get back to you. All right. So, I
have gone through the documentation.
It was in Chinese for some reason. So, I
use Google Translate to live translate
the picture in which it overlaps English
over Chinese. And I am able to see that
it works with both temperatures
Fahrenheit and uh Celsius centigrade
and uh
let's try the first it should be less
the distance should be less than 3 cm
for the right reading otherwise it will
give dash dash dash so
if I press it and this is the reading if
the reading is successful it will give
to a reading proper reading with a
vibration. If it is not successful, it
will not vibrate and you will see dash
dash dash. See? Okay. So, this is uh
centigrade Celsius,
not Fahrenheit.
If I take this, see, there was no
vibration. I did not feel it. And you
see dash dash dash, right? If I come
closer 3 cent.
I think this is better because with this
you know the distance is correct and as
you can see it is very consistent in
terms of giving its accuracy. Although
it is not recommended to take
temperature here they recommend it like
right in the center of your forehead. Uh
but for the purposes of video I'm just
going to use it and to switch on the
unit because I prefer Fahrenheit not
Celsius or centigrade. So you what you
need to do is press this button for 8
seconds. So 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. And at this
point you can see it is pressing uh
blinking. I'm going to press again. And
it should automatically switch to
foreign. And now if I press it for 8
seconds again, it should automatically
turn to foreign.
This is the way you turn to foreign. Now
let's take the measurement again and it
should be in foreign height. See 97.1.
Let's go farther
and you see dash dash dash which means
it is unable to take the reading. Let's
go closer.
And 97.1 very consistent, right? This is
the reading. Overall, looks really good.
Very consistent as you can see. And
works on AAA batteries.
Let me know what you think of it and
what kind of thermometer you use. Uh I
have tried a different ones but I think
this one
looks at least looks the best and feels
the best.
You never know when which one works. But
I have four kids and it is very
important for me to keep an eye on them.
So for that I am going to be using this
one from now on and let's see what my
experience is. So let me know what you
think of it. Take care and bye.
Let me give you one last reading. Right.
