Abandoned Mine Cabin with a New Roof
I drove into the high desert mountains to check out a small cabin associated with a nearby mine. Most of the cabin is weathered and worn, but the roof has fresh sheet metal, suggesting that someone started restoring it as a survival shelter.
During this exploration, I walk around the site, search for clues about who may have used it and when.
I won’t share the coordinates to protect the site and the surrounding landscape. Please explore responsibly: leave no trace, pack out any trash, respect private property, and never enter unstable structures or open mine workings. Stay safe and enjoy the history!
