Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone is back on the big screen, this time in sci-fi comedy Bugonia. Stone plays Michelle Fuller, a powerful pharmaceutical CEO who's kidnapped by two conspiracy theorist cousins, convinced she's an alien. In a recent interview, co-star Jesse Plemons recalled filming a physical scene that left him anxious. I really tackled her one time. That was as stressed out as I've ever been. Yeah, because I made such a big deal of it. I've broken a lot of bones. And I was like, the thing is, I'm just so nervous for you to tackle me. And he was completely safe and did an incredible job. I broke no bones. It's fair to be nervous. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sure, sure, sure, sure. I know, I know, I know. But I just didn't make it easier on you. It's like, oh my God. You're like, oh my God. Please let me not break Emma Stone's bones. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, the film draws its title from an ancient Greek myth, the belief that bees were born from the carcass of an ox. Bugonia opens in select theaters on the 24th of October before expanding across the U.S. on the 31st of October.
