Republican Curtis Sliwa Could Become Next NYC Mayor Democratic Political Analyst

Two Democrats are running in this year’s New York City mayoral election—Andrew Cuomo, who is running as an Independent after losing the Democratic primary, and Zohran Mamdani. If they split the vote, there’s a chance the Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa, could finish ahead of both of them. This is according to George Carrillo, a Democrat who ran for governor of Oregon in 2022. He joined a panel discussion on Friday with Terry Schilling of the American Principles Project.
