Do you think making money on YouTube is impossible for regular people?
Well, my brother, Zach, thought the exact same thing three months ago.
And just yesterday, he earned $377 from AdSense.
And the day before that, he earned $447 from AdSense.
Oh, and he's getting a lot of affiliate sales, too.
So, yeah, a year long run rate of that is making six figures a year.
So six figure YouTube business started in less than three months.
And it's not just him.
My client, Alan, sold a $2,400 contract from a video with just 20 views.
Now, what's the difference between them and everyone else who fails?
Well, they use these five specific strategies that guarantee results every
time, strategies that I'm about to break down step by step.
And if you appreciate me sharing these strategies with you in this type of video,
then let me know by gently tapping that like button and let's get started.
All right. Strategy number one is the most
important thing when it comes to making any video.
And that is the idea.
And to come up with a good idea, you need to use what I like to call the icon method.
Now, I have a simplified version of the icon method that I like to call the hot
dog method, and this version is just a lot easier to understand and present in a short
YouTube video. So the hot dog method basically goes like this.
You could open a five star gourmet, just like best restaurant in the world.
But if you put it in the middle of the desert where nobody is, your restaurant's
going to fail. You're not going to get any customers.
Additionally, you could have an incredible restaurant.
But if you put it in a location where there's a bunch of other incredible
restaurants, or let's just say you put it in a location right outside of the exit of
a buffet, almost everybody who walks by that location has already eaten.
And even if they haven't already eaten, they have a bunch of different options from
already established restaurants.
So your restaurant is really going to struggle to get customers.
Now, the third method is opening up a hot dog stand where you're not making the best
food in the world. Let's be honest.
Hot dogs are pretty mediocre, but you put it in a place where there is a starving
crowd of people, for instance, maybe outside of some college bars at 1 a.m.
in the morning when they all close.
This is actually what one of my friends did in college, and he made a ton of money
doing it. Why?
Because all those people coming out of the bar were hungry and they only had one
option for a place to eat.
And that was this hot dog stand.
And so every single night he would sell out of hot dogs and he made a full time
income just doing his hot dog stand a few nights a week.
Now, how does this relate to you?
Well, for restaurants, the importance of the location is everything.
And for YouTube videos in a very similar way, the idea is everything.
If you make a video on an idea where there's absolutely no demand, it doesn't matter
if you have supply because there's no demand.
It's like opening a restaurant in the middle of the desert.
If you make a video on an idea where there is a lot of demand, but there's also a lot
of supply, it's also probably not going to be very good because there's going to be a
lot of established channels that already have a ton of subscribers that are already
making videos on that topic.
And so there's just way too much competition.
The sweet spot is making videos on ideas where there's a massive amount of demand,
right? There's a ton of demand and there's almost no supply.
That is where you want to be.
You want to find these ideas where there's a ton of demand and there's almost no
supply. So how do you do that?
Well, you use the icon method or the hot dog method.
That's the simplified version.
And that is where you find videos that did really well.
They have at least 100,000 views.
They're from small channels, channels that are less than 100,000 subscribers.
And the videos themselves are either mediocre or preferably they're bad.
Okay. That's what you do.
You find videos that are not that impressive.
They come from small channels.
But for some reason, the video still did really well.
And when the video does really well,
despite being from a small channel that doesn't have a huge following already and
the video itself is not that good, you know,
the reason the video did well is because of the idea.
There was a massive amount of demand for the idea and there wasn't that much
supply. Very similar to opening up a hot dog stand in a place where there's a
starving crowd of people.
It doesn't really matter if your content is just mediocre as long as you're making
content on ideas that people actually care about.
So that is the number one and most important thing that you should do on
YouTube. Everything else comes second to that, right?
The idea is the most important thing by far.
If you make videos on the right ideas,
it's just a matter of time before one of your videos takes off.
If you make videos on the wrong ideas,
you might make hundreds of videos and none of them take off,
even if your content's pretty good.
And I've seen this happen again and again and again.
Now I'm going to be talking about five things in this video,
but this first one's the most important one,
as long as you do it in conjunction with number two. And by the way,
if you just do number one and number two, you're going to find success. Okay?
It's just a matter of time. You're going to find success,
but three, four and five are going to help you find success faster. All right,
quick break this Tuesday, 9pm Eastern standard time.
I'm hosting a free live workshop called how to get money quickly with AI and
YouTube. At this workshop,
I'll be giving away my brand new tool niche validator 2.0 for free.
This is a very popular tool of mine that I've updated to add more recent niche
discoveries. And I've trained on thousands of hours of my teaching,
my philosophy, my coaching sessions, et cetera.
And I'm giving it away for this one time only at the workshop.
So make sure you show up,
click the link in the description or the pin comment below.
And when you're done registering, make sure to click on,
add this to your calendar. So it'll show up in your Google,
Apple or Outlook calendar in order to get our GPT.
Now you'll also be able to ask me questions live.
So I look forward to meeting you. See you Tuesday at 9pm Eastern time.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming consistency and compounding
consistency is the foundation of YouTube success. There's no doubt about it.
Each video you upload builds momentum for the next one.
And over time your uploads compound like interest in a bank account.
And this creates exponential growth that most creators completely miss out on.
So in the case of my brother,
the very first video we uploaded went viral.
It now has over 700,000 views. By the time you watch this video,
it might take me like a week to edit it or something.
It might have over a million views, but that is not typical.
My brother was working directly with me.
So I was able to cherry pick the video and we made sure it had a very high
chance of success. And I've been doing YouTube for a long time.
So anyone who works directly with me,
they're pretty much guaranteed to have success. Now, with that being said,
it was still pretty lucky that the very first video we posted took off for most
people. They need to post and they need to post consistently.
Because when you think about it, every single time you post a video,
it's almost like playing baseball and you swing a bat.
If you only swing a bat once per month,
even if you're a really good home run hitter,
you still have a very low chance of hitting the ball.
Whereas if you swing the bat once a week, twice a week,
it's even better, or even three times per week,
you have a significantly higher chance of hitting a home run.
Even if the individual swings are not as good.
And we're going to get into this in more detail here in a moment when we talk
about the money ball method. But the point here is the idea is the most important
thing.
And if you just cover topics that have important ideas where you know there's a
massive amount of demand and there's very little supply,
and then you just consistently cover those topics.
Even if you don't put that much effort into the videos, believe it or not,
it's just a matter of time before a video takes off.
And I've seen this over and over again,
where a lot of YouTubers are perfectionists, they're artists,
and they'll spend a massive amount of time making sure every little detail of a
video is perfect. And I respect that.
I respect the hell out of people who do that,
but it's terrible when it comes to like a business decision.
That's a terrible business decision.
It's a great art decision and a terrible business decision. Okay. Actually,
to be honest with you,
it's also a bad art decision because even the greatest artists of all time would
usually do like one painting a day.
And that's how they became so good is they just consistently did a lot of art.
You know, Jerry Seinfeld, for instance,
would write jokes for at least one hour a day and he'd put an X on his calendar
every single time he did it. So it's a bad business decision.
And in many ways, it's also a bad artist decision as well.
So what is the thing that you should be doing instead?
Upload and upload consistently because the biggest gains that you get on your
channel are going to come from those home run videos.
And the faster you have a home run video,
the faster you figure out what format you should be doing, right?
Should you be doing listicles or how to's or tutorials or vlogs, et cetera,
but not just the format.
You'll figure out the ideas of the videos that you should be making.
You'll figure out your niche or at least dial your niche in better than what it is
right now, right? People always say, oh,
you need to find your niche before you start.
But in reality, finding your niche is almost like finding your personality or
finding your passion, right?
You have to try stuff before you can find out what your passion is.
Like how can you know what your passion is if you haven't tried it?
You know, there might be something that you're absolutely passionate about,
but you just have never tried it. So how would you know?
Of course you wouldn't know. It's the same thing with your niche.
A lot of the time you don't choose your niche.
Your niche kind of chooses you in some ways because you'll try a bunch of
different stuff and then something works and that's your niche.
And then later on, once you built an audience,
you can change your niche if you want. But yeah, I mean, I could just go on and on.
There's literally a million reasons why you need to upload and upload
consistently. Like you will never be successful on YouTube if you don't upload
and upload consistently. Okay. So number one and number two,
if you just do those two alone, you're going to be good to go.
It'll probably take you a little bit longer,
but it's just a matter of time before you have a video takeoff. It's,
it's just math. It's just luck, not luck. It's literally just probability.
But number three is the money ball method.
And I got this from the movie money ball. This is a Brad Pitt movie.
It's about baseball. I'm actually not a big fan of baseball,
but I absolutely loved this movie.
And basically you should totally watch the movie if you hadn't.
But there was a team that figured out that if they used data,
they could kind of figure out how to win the game in a much more efficient way
than all of the other teams.
And they were one of the worst teams in the league and they had a very low
salary cap.
So they were competing with teams that could pay their players a lot more.
And so they would just get destroyed every time.
And what they figured out is they should just hire all players that can get on
base instead of overpaying for players that hit home runs.
And so I basically took this same strategy to YouTube.
Every single video that I upload is SEO or search friendly,
meaning it has a keyword in the title that is a search friendly keyword.
And typically you'll notice I put the keywords towards the beginning of the
titles.
However,
I also make sure that the titles and the videos in general could potentially go
viral,
AKA get promoted on the home page of YouTube.
That's how videos go viral.
So I try to hit a home run,
but if I don't hit a home run,
I know that all of my videos are going to get views from search.
It might take a long time,
but eventually they're going to get a steady stream of views from search.
And that is the money ball method.
Now,
of course,
most of my videos are not home runs,
maybe one out of 10 videos or something like that as a home run.
But the nine out of 10 that aren't home runs,
I know they're still going to get views from search and they still end up getting
millions of views in aggregate over time.
And I have a bunch of different examples of this.
I'll kind of like show you on the screen.
Now here's some videos that popped off right away.
Here's some videos that took a very long time to get their views,
but they eventually did end up getting a lot of views as well.
All right.
So strategy number four is a bit of a philosophy.
And I found that this philosophy has worked for probably at least 80% of my
clients,
sometimes even up to like 95% and that is solve problems for the younger
version of yourself.
So this is one of the most powerful strategies on YouTube and basically teach
what you wish you knew earlier in your life,
create content,
solving the problems that the younger version of yourself had and solve.
And by doing this,
you instantly connect with viewers that have the same struggles right now.
It's authentic.
It's relatable.
And it positions you as someone who understands that.
And people don't want generic information from random craters online anymore.
They want advice from someone who's been there in their shoes and done that.
And when you share your story of suffering from the same problem that they are
currently suffering from,
and then finding the solution and showing them how they can,
you know,
achieve that solution as well.
Magic happens.
Okay.
It creates an emotional bond,
making your content completely unforgettable.
So when I first started,
I wasn't trying to go viral.
I was just making videos that would have helped the younger version of myself.
For instance,
back in college,
I ended up $300,000 in student loan debt.
And a bunch of my friends also ended up in situations where they had a ton of
student loan debt.
Some of them ended up getting good jobs.
Some of them didn't.
And we all realize that many degrees people pursue don't pay enough to justify
the cost.
And I,
myself,
as well as many of my friends and many other people that went to college,
learned this lesson the hard way.
So I started making videos that I wish existed at 18 videos,
like top 10 college majors that are actually worth it or the most useless
degrees.
And these weren't just content ideas.
They were literally needed advice.
The advice that I desperately wish someone had given me earlier.
And the result was millions of views across all of these videos combined.
And by solving my younger self's problem,
I solved millions of others problems as well.
So how can you apply this incredibly powerful strategy yourself?
Oh,
and I wanted to mention something when I did this,
I didn't just have to stay in the college degree niche.
I was able to easily pivot to other niches later on.
And what did I do?
I literally just solved the younger version of myself's problems again,
just in other niches.
So you don't have to worry about being stuck in one niche forever.
You can always pivot if you want,
but yeah,
ask yourself what's the biggest struggle you had five years ago,
or maybe even 10 years ago,
or just a couple of years ago,
and then create videos that would have saved you time,
money,
and pain.
And don't just share the tips,
share the struggle,
right?
Share your story of how you were able to overcome it because people really relate
to that and inspires them.
It motivates them and it helps them to take action and overcome whatever the
problem was themselves.
And strategy number five is monetize early,
even with low views.
So you remember that client I told you about earlier who got a $2,400 contract
from a video that got 20 views?
Yeah,
he was able to monetize his content even though it only had 20 views.
There are some YouTubers out there that get millions of views a month,
and they might only make a few thousand dollars a month.
Some of them don't even make a full time income on YouTube.
This client was able to get 20 views with a single video and sold a $2,400
contract.
The difference,
proper monetization and proper monetization is the difference between channels that
need to get millions of views to make a full time income,
or some of them are even getting millions of views and they're still not making a
full time income versus channels that can get just a handful of views,
sometimes dozens or hundreds or thousands of views per video and still make a ton
of money.
And when it comes to proper monetization,
the biggest thing is solving painful problems for people who actually have the
money to pay for products and services to solve those painful problems.
That's the biggest thing when it comes to proper monetization.
And then the other part is actually selling stuff.
But if you nail these two things,
even a small number of views can generate high value sales.
And instead of chasing millions of views,
you focus on the right people and the money easily flows to you.
Now,
this is a topic that would take an entire video,
maybe even an entire series of videos to fully break down.
And truthfully,
YouTubers are usually terrible at monetization,
right?
Most YouTubers I know,
even ones that are relatively successful could be making three times more,
five times more,
even 10 times more money than what they're currently making.
And it's literally just because they're not properly monetized.
So a lot of the clients that I help,
this is the situation we're in.
Just as an example,
Sean Dolowit,
one of my rockstar clients,
when he first came to me,
he was stuck making around $30,000 a month.
We scaled him all the way up to over $500,000 a month within nine months.
And if you want to know exactly how we did that,
check out the live down the description,
the pin comment below Tuesday,
9 p.m.
Eastern Standard Time.
Do not miss out on it.
And I know 99% of people watching this probably don't want personal coaching.
You know,
Sean Dolowit worked personally with me,
for instance,
to get the outcome.
But for the 1% or 0.1% of you who do want personal coaching,
check that link out as well.
It'll be down in the description and the pin comment below.
You can book a call with me and my team and apply for coaching.
And on this call,
we'll figure out where you are right now,
where you want to be.
We'll make a plan to get there and we'll see if we're a good fit to work
together or not.
