We Boarded the WORLD’S LARGEST CRUISE SHIP! This is the Icon of the Seas 😮
3 Video Views·Oct 19, 2025
We'll be spending 7 days on board the largest cruise ship IN THE WORLD: Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas!
== About Us ==
We're Eric & Allison and we're on a journey to find the most interesting places and unique foods this planet has to offer! We've traded in our steady paychecks and permanent home for a life of travel and adventure. Come along and see the world with us!
Oh my gosh, it's happening.
We're about to board the largest cruise ship in the world.
Right this way, please.
Oh my God, we're officially on board
and it is sheer chaos.
It shows music and people and everything.
It's happening all at once.
I'm glad we've taken a cruise or two in our lifetime
because this would be very overwhelming
if this were our first cruise ever.
I would not know what to do or where to go.
Oh my God.
It is a lot to take in.
Tradition, we found the nearest bar
and got ourselves a glass of champagne.
People are so social and chatty already.
People keep bumping into us, asking to spot the camera,
like talking to us.
It's fun.
I love cruises.
I feel like everyone's just so excited,
especially on the first day.
It's just a good vibe.
Everyone's here to have a good time
and we're here for that.
Yeah, especially after a few champagne.
Champagne messes me up.
I can only have one glass of this.
Like that's it.
One and done.
We are trying to get to the tippity top
so we can kind of get the lay of the land of the ship.
It just keeps going up forever and ever.
Well, one of our policies on a cruise ship
is to not take the elevator,
to always take the stairs,
burn off the champagne.
Yeah, but there's like 17 flights of stairs
we have to go up.
16, almost there.
I guess we should officially say
good morning, adventurers.
Good morning.
Man, boarding the ship was so chaotic,
but so much fun.
We decided we have not had enough of the Caribbean,
so we booked ourselves a week-long cruise
on the Icon of the Seas, y'all.
Which is officially the largest cruise ship
ever built by man.
It is the biggest and the greatest ever built
and we're on it.
We're here, y'all.
We've spent a little bit of time just roaming around
and we've gotten lost at every turn.
It is just so big.
Every time you turn a corner,
there's another bar, another area, another pool.
It is kind of an architectural marvel.
When you're on the ship, you're like,
how was this built?
How is this possible?
A floating party city is what it feels like.
Party city is right,
because as you walk around,
there's music bumping everywhere.
Everyone's having some drinks,
chilling, having a good time.
It is so freaking colorful.
It is definitely the most vibrant ship
we have ever been on.
We are going to be spending one week aboard this ship
and we are going to take you guys everywhere.
We're going to show you the state rooms.
We're going to take you to dinner.
We're going to wine you.
We're going to dine you.
Then we're going to throw you down the waterslides
and drop you in the pool.
And then we're going to make you walk the plank.
Walk the plank.
Allison has dressed up like a pirate in the past.
Maybe we could...
Oh, why didn't I bring my pirate costume thing?
You definitely should have.
But our room should be ready.
Should have a balcony ocean view.
So first things first, we got to go check that out.
Man, the ship is big.
We're just on the hunt for our room.
This never ends.
I feel like it's always a half a day thing.
Oh.
Is this it?
Eight, five, two, two.
All right.
Welcome aboard.
Oh, boy.
Yeah, this will do.
Is this a queen size bed?
Well, this is way nicer than what I thought it was going to be.
Holy cow.
We got a balcony.
Y'all, we did this option where you could kind of let them choose your room.
And we weren't sure if it would end up being a balcony.
But it is.
We got a real one.
And that option's a little cheaper, I guess.
So we were like, all right, let's roll the dice.
Roll the dice.
And we won, baby.
That was a dice rolling motion, right?
It's got like a queen size bed in here.
We've got a whole couch sitting area, a little desk.
It feels very, very new.
It is all pristine.
There aren't any nicks or weird like paint touch-ups anywhere.
Yeah, we should have brought friends.
I think this is an extra bed.
Oh, is it?
Nice.
So do not worry.
We are going to give you guys a full tour of the ship, of the room and everything.
But first, we need to figure out the ship and everything it has to offer.
I mean, we've been poking around a bit today.
There is so much.
It's a bit overwhelming.
So maybe in a couple days, once we've gotten our sea legs, our ship legs,
we'll show you guys what this has to offer.
But for right now, we're just going to cruise.
Roll the windows down, cruise.
Let's slide the door open.
Slide the door open and cruise.
Our new country hit album.
Fun fact though, I went to college with one of those fellers.
And what band even is that?
I can't remember.
So you went to college with the guy.
We sing the song all the time.
We don't even know what the band is.
I know his name's Tyler.
Yeah, I was in classes with him.
He was friends with my friends.
All right, sidebar over.
Gotta check out this balcony.
That's the most pleasing sound.
It's not very good.
Our view right now is currently of a parking garage.
But in about one hour, it will be the wide open seas.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you just joined us, welcome aboard the Icon of the Seas.
Currently, we are still showing a high percentage of our guests
that still need to come with me to the safety briefing.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone who has not completed it to sail with us today.
It's one thing we always forget when we board a cruise ship.
It's all exciting.
You're drinking.
You're getting a little tipsy.
And then you got to go do a safety briefing.
You forget that you must muster.
Okay, assembly station A. I think that's us.
A1.
There we go.
What's wrong with me?
You got the ding.
In case of emergency, when you hear the emergency alarm, this is your muster station.
So you need to come straight here.
Okay.
Thank you.
For some reason, mine had a nice beautiful little ding and then hers went.
It was very jarring.
I don't know what I did to offend it.
But we got there in the end.
We've officially mustered.
And now we can set sail.
We've officially set sail.
And oh my gosh, it turned into a party at the aft of the ship.
Aft.
I know ship.
You know all your ship terms.
But which side is starboard, huh?
It's any side you want.
Yeah.
Well, I don't know it.
So yeah, it is.
Yeah.
Leaving the port of Miami is incredible because the port is actually deep in the city.
So you're tucked in the middle of all these different buildings.
And as we pulled out, all these ships were just going nuts.
So it's like you have jet skis.
You've got the Coast Guard ships, huge yachts.
You've got pilot ships.
Just so many boats doing their thing.
Man, some of those jet skis were getting air, huh?
Yeah.
If Eric didn't have a broken rim, he'd be out there with them.
Yeah, no doubt about it.
And then once you clear the city, you see the beach.
And the beach is just littered with people.
It goes for as far as the eye can see.
It's incredible.
And luckily, the back of the ship, yeah, is the 18 and up area.
So there are no children here, just adults enjoying the view.
Man, this ship is bumping now.
I'm trying to point it like away from the music so the microphone doesn't pick it up.
But it's impossible.
It's party time here, y'all.
A week of nothing but cruising and freaking...
Boozing.
Cruising and boozing.
That's exactly, yeah.
We just stumbled upon this model of the ship.
I love it.
I want to play with it, but they have it behind this case.
That little spot right there is where we were standing.
So imagine like a little model of little Eric and Allison standing right there.
This thing is so cute.
I love it.
It is also very functional.
You learn exactly what the ship layout is because, you guys,
as soon as you go down in here, you have no idea what's happening up or down from anywhere.
You get lost, too sweet.
Yes.
The artwork on this ship has been on point.
I mean, check that out.
This will be us.
Yeah.
When it's late at night and you're asking for that one last piece of pizza.
I'm like, please do.
Oh, no, this is me.
Please give it to me.
And they're like, we've got one last piece.
It's 12 hours old.
And I'm like, I'll still eat that.
You guys, I can't stress to you how many bars are on this ship.
It's like every time we turn around, there's another bar.
This one serves wine and whiskey.
So we got ourselves a little old fashioned.
Champagne, whiskey.
We're going hard our first day.
Yeah.
We'll cool our jets after this.
But just you get so excited.
It's all included if you get the drink package.
So take advantage while you can.
But we might have to tone it down after.
There's also a smoothie bar and there's coffee shops and stuff like that,
which are also included in the drink package.
So those will be for our days off.
And that's what happens if you don't go to your safety meeting.
I'm just kidding.
That is what happens if there is an emergency.
And that means you go to your muster station.
Wow.
You cannot miss that.
That is one loud alarm.
Geez.
Well, we've officially found heaven on this ship.
We were just wandering around, walked into the buffet.
We've all stopped and our jaws dropped.
We're like, what's happening?
The dessert spread is what we hit first.
And now I'm looking at like there's a billion options for fried chicken
and bread and meat and vegetables.
And suddenly I'm very hungry.
Suddenly I want to eat everything.
The food options here are bananas.
Literally.
I think there are bananas right over there.
There's so many options.
It's the best food we have ever seen on a ship ever.
I mean, look at this fruit spread.
Come on.
Not a literal fruit spread, but it's a spread of fruit.
What's a literal?
Like a fruit spread, you know?
Oh, I see.
Okay.
Yeah, I got it.
Well, we've had a little too much fun exploring the ship and we totally lost track of time.
It is 830 right now.
So we decided maybe it's time to go to dinner,
especially because I think we have a show to go to that we booked for 930 an hour.
We just came to their normal sit down dinner.
You don't have to make reservations.
I went with the fried chicken.
So fried chicken, potatoes, a little bit of corn on the cob there.
I did the prime rib.
This was the other dish they recommended.
It comes with some cheeky veggies and mashed potatoes.
It's huge.
But I think we have earned this meal because we have done a whopping almost 13...
Oh, did it just go away?
Almost 13,000 steps today.
And we still have much more of the ship to traverse.
There's a lot more we're doing tonight.
We just got our first show on board.
And if you want to feel like a very basic, simple person.
Like you have no talent, no aspirations.
You can't do anything.
We're always blown away, man.
These people must practice their entire lives because they have so much freaking talent.
I can't even believe it.
I have never seen an ice rink on a ship.
We did not know what we were getting into, y'all.
We thought the room was a little chilly.
Now we know why.
Yeah.
And at one point, I thought it was going to turn into like an ice-wide shut type of thing.
But it didn't, luckily.
No, it stayed very PG rated.
That got a little wild, huh?
Oh my gosh, y'all.
I didn't know if we would make it till midnight.
Everyone else made it till midnight.
Yeah, all the kids are still up dancing like crazy.
I don't know.
I feel like a weenie because we were like, all right, all right.
We just have 30 more minutes.
There were kids freaking cutting rug out there.
They're still out there going.
But we made it to the balloon drop.
We did.
I feel like it's like New Year's Eve when we accomplished something.
Wow, that was a wild first day.
But we were up till 2 a.m. last night.
So I'm beat.
My watch is not happy with me.
I did not get enough sleep, but I did get...
Oh, it's the next day.
So I have 308 steps.
But I think we got close to 20,000 steps today, you guys.
Oh my gosh.
But all right.
That means we're very tired.
We're back to the stateroom.
We're going to crash out.
I don't even want to show you guys what I look like.
I feel like my eyes are probably really red.
And we'll see you tomorrow.
That was crazy.
My heart's pounding.
Wow.
This morning, our ship arrived to the island of St. Martin.
And we took a bus over to one of the most famous beaches in the world.
It is famous because it is about 10 feet from a runway.
So you get to chill here on the beach.
And then right there, the planes land just like 30 feet above your head.
It's something that we've seen years ago.
We were like, oh, man, where the heck is that?
I wonder if we'll ever be there.
And now we're here.
It's here.
It's right here.
We're in it.
And it is freaking awesome.
I mean, you guys saw it's incredible seeing the planes land so close.
Speaking of, there's another one coming right now.
This is like you have your small planes, you have your big planes,
and then you have your medium sized planes.
This is about a medium sized plane.
The downside is, as you'll see, if you look over here, it is very popular.
There are a lot of people here today.
At the bar, they even have a screen, just like at the airport,
that shows the arrivals and the departure time.
It's freaking sweet.
Did I already say it's freaking sweet?
I think I said that already.
I think so.
Eric's really geeking out right now.
He's loving this.
It is awesome.
It reminds me of that scene in Wayne's World where they're sitting on the hood of the car
and the plane goes right over their head.
If you'll notice, this spot behind me is empty.
And that is because when the planes take off, it blasts you.
Literally sand blasts you.
Yeah, so they take off right there and their engine blows you away.
We were told not to stand here and do that,
but we're gonna stand here and do that.
Yes.
We want to experience it once in our lives.
We want to get a lot of sand in our drinks.
No, we got to finish them.
We got to chug them.
There's a JetBlue plane about to take off.
I'm trying to finish my drink real quick.
This is gonna be rough.
Oh no.
Y'all, everyone is lined up to get blown away by this plane.
I don't know why.
I think he's about to take off.
Well, that blew my hat clean off.
Well, that was awesome.
That's like a hurricane force winds right there.
That was so much fun.
I fell on my ass right there.
I braced myself.
I knew it was coming.
Dude, check this guy out.
He's a grower and a shower, huh?
I'm impressed.
You guys, a couple of viewers randomly stopped us just now
and it turns out he works for American Airlines.
We were like, oh, we don't know when the planes are coming.
He's like, check this out.
He's like, I know exactly when it's coming.
He's got like a GPS tracker app showing the airplanes and stuff.
It was awesome.
Yeah, if you come here, definitely download some apps ahead of time.
We did not do enough research and we didn't do that.
But a lot of people on the beach actually have been very nice
and they've been saying the times and everything.
You might have to be a little bit of a nerd.
I don't know, but this is one of the coolest things I've ever done.
I just love it.
Well, this cruise is off to a pretty rad start, you guys.
And we still have so many more days left on this ship.
Seeing the planes was way cooler than I ever thought it was going to be.
It was fantastic.
Just the power of when you sit underneath them, it's incredible.
That guy with that huge selfie stick and the 360 camera,
we actually ran into him on the ship
and he showed us a bunch of the different photos and stuff that he got from it.
It was pretty epic stuff.
Yeah, it was pretty sweet.
But I guess the plan from here is to explore the ship ourselves,
figure out where everything is,
and then come back and take you guys along with us.
Yeah, we're going to give you a full tour, show you everything the ship has to offer.
But first off, we got to figure out everything the ship has to offer.
We explored maybe 5% of it.
Goodbye, adventurers.
We'll see you on the high seas.
