There is a bunch of new makeup that launched this month.
I want to give you a very honest, blunt reviews.
If you're new to my channel, my name is Marlena.
I've been a product developer in the beauty space
for over 15 years, so when I judge products,
I'm very honest, very thorough.
So let's start first with blushes,
because that's my favorite that I've really enjoyed
from this collection.
ILIA just launched their Soft Focus Blurring Brush.
Have you tried any of these?
So good.
I'm wearing it today, actually.
The color I have is Breathless.
It is a very smooth, slightly sheen of a formula.
It's a powdery formula.
I feel like the way that it's created,
it is a baked blush.
I could be wrong on that, but the way it looks to me
and the way it feels, it feels like a baked blush.
Those are my favorite,
because they give a very soft, ethereal look to the skin.
Let me apply it for you all.
I'm actually using something else that's new,
is the Nisa brushes.
They have the Cover and Set brushes.
I love this brush.
I've been using it every day since I got it.
So I just take that, and I pick up a little bit
and just dust it onto the skin,
and it gives this beautiful kind of sheen to the skin.
Do you see that?
The pigmentation is absolutely perfect.
The finish is beautiful.
It looks very natural.
So if you want a very natural, soft, diffused color
to the skin, I really think you would like these a lot.
Then the other blush I have is by Summer Fridays.
Now, I know I did a video.
I'd probably say,
hey, and I blasted Summer Fridays lip glosses,
but their blushes, these new ones, are fantastic.
So it's called their Blush Butter Bomb.
I got the color Soft Strawberry.
It is the most gorgeous crème blush.
I was wearing that today, too.
Let me show how I apply that.
I'm gonna apply that
with the Nisa Conceal and Correct brush.
This guy right here,
because I like a little bit of control,
but let me show you what this looks like on top.
It just adds this little bit of sheen to the skin.
Do you see the glow that it's giving?
It's not tacky at all.
It's not greasy, but it gives a nice glow to the skin.
The pigmentation of this is medium.
So if you like just a medium type of finish,
look how beautiful that is.
It blends out so well.
Again, it's not greasy at all.
These are probably first impressions.
It's probably my new favorite crème blush I've ever tried.
They're stunning.
Next, let's get into brushes,
because there's several brushes that launched this month.
A couple I already talked about, the Anissa brushes.
They launched two new ones.
They have their Cover and Set brush.
It is a phenomenal brush
that you can use for setting powder.
You can apply it like I did with the blush.
You can use it for powder or cream.
I love the shape of this.
It's very soft.
The density is perfect.
It is beautiful brushes.
You all know I love Anissa brushes.
They do just a phenomenal job with them.
The other brush they have is the Conceal and Perfect,
and it's a smaller version of that.
It's kind of a dome-shaped brush.
It's a little bit dense as well,
so you can use it to tap in corrector.
You can use it for concealer.
I used it today to apply my crème blush
because it's smaller, so it gives me some control.
If you need just a great face brush
that's a little bit smaller
so you can get around the nose, under the eyes,
if you want to correct under the eyes,
it's a beautiful brush.
I really love this.
It's very soft, very high quality, so love those.
And then another brand that launched,
Niki La Rose with BK Beauty,
she launched a brush set, and I love all of these.
I want to show you all the brushes,
and I'll tell you which ones are my favorite.
So it's a brush set that has eight brushes inside.
First off, it has N18, which is a great brush for,
you can do contour under here.
You can tap it on the side to do some blush.
There's so many purposes for that one.
It's kind of a fan-shaped brush.
They're really, really soft.
They have the black handle,
so it fits Niki's style perfectly.
The N20, this is a face brush as well,
but it's a nice, dome, dual-fiber brush.
So it's great for applying blush here
if you want to do highlighter.
If you like just a soft application of color,
actually, let me show you with that Ilia blush, hold on.
So if you want like a diffused look, let me do this side.
You can pick up this on the side.
Because it's a dual fiber,
it's going to give you a very light application.
So that's personally how I like using it.
I know Niki has a demo on her channel of how to use that,
but great brush.
But this guy, this one's very special.
This is the N19.
So she created this brush, I believe,
to get some powder here so you could set powder.
Actually, let me show you all.
So I like to pick up some loose powder,
kind of swirl it in the cap, and then tap it off.
And then you can use it to kind of set your makeup
with that loose powder.
But look how beautiful that is.
It gets right in between the brows, around the nose.
It is such a cool brush.
So out of the whole collection, I really like this one.
You can get the whole set on BK Beauty's site.
And the next brush that we have is by Tati.
Tati came out with her details by Tati,
and she has a bunch of brushes in here.
I love these brushes so much.
They're so sleek.
I love the dark gray handle color.
Let me show you all.
So it has the dark gray handle, the black.
They're just very sophisticated and sleek.
And every brush in this collection,
because there's a ton,
let me show you how many brushes are in here, you all.
There's a little bit like tons.
She came out with an entire line of brushes.
I'm so excited for her.
I'm not going to go through all the brushes
because there's a ton, but I'll show you my favorite.
So I really like the ES2.
This is a double ended brush.
So it has a flat one on this side.
And then I really like this buffing brush here.
I apply my foundation with it and it's really, really soft.
It has kind of a cool octagon shape, which I love.
But also her ES4.
This is great for getting here in the crease
if you want like a really soft, diffused look.
It just is effortless.
It's very soft.
I love the quality of the bristles of these.
These are definitely,
you can tell she spent time perfecting these.
She also has the ES6 brush and that's this guy here.
And it's kind of like an outer V brush.
It's a little flat.
So you can get here under the lower lash line
to smudge it out.
You could do some shadow here on the outer corner of the eye
like what I did today.
And then my other favorite is this EX4, this one here.
This is so cool.
This is a great concealer brush.
So if you want to tap it here under the eyes,
it's that perfect kind of shape.
But also on top of the cheekbones,
if you want to do some highlight,
if you need to apply concealer around the nose,
it's a great detail brush for the face.
So Tati did a great job on these.
I really think these look beautiful.
The bristles are really soft.
I feel like every brush I've tried from her collection
has been absolutely amazing.
Then Hang Van Goh came out with an entire makeup line.
And I will, full disclosure, he did send me this package,
but I did buy myself from Sephora
the eyeshadow palette and also a lipstick.
So these I bought myself
and I've been playing with them a lot.
I got the purple palette
and I did a tutorial with this also,
but this is a beautiful palette.
I love that he has all these different color stories.
Eight colors per palette, I think is a perfect amount.
There's a few shimmers in there.
There's some mattes.
The colors are absolutely beautiful.
The purple one is honestly my favorite
because I don't see a lot of great purple palettes,
but I gotta show you in this case,
I literally just got this today.
I was so excited because I was like,
oh, I already bought a palette, but let me show you.
Love his branding.
Love, love, love that.
I just respect him a lot as an artist.
I think he's a phenomenal artist.
So let me show you the other two palettes
and then I'll show you really quickly the blushes.
So this is the green and yellow palette,
which was my second favorite.
I almost bought this one, but he sent this.
So thank you Hang for sending these.
These are so cool.
Let me swatch these for you all.
So you can see two metallics and a shimmer, all in greens.
And then there's some mattes in here as well.
Like look at this apple green.
Right?
So pigmented.
I feel like the quality of the shadows is really nice.
There are a great amount of pigmentation.
There's not too much fallout.
The texture is really beautiful.
I love that there's lots of finishes in one palette,
but you still have a good color story of green.
So whenever I want a green shadow, I can pull this out.
I also love the packaging.
So it has a soft touch finish.
And I love that his branding
is all of this kind of orange color,
which makes it stand out to me versus the other brands,
because it's just a really fun, innovative color.
But it's still very sleek.
With just his name here, it's nothing too ornate.
So I think branding-wise,
as someone who's taught branding strategies
in the beauty space, he did a phenomenal job.
I love the design and style of everything.
It fits his aesthetic.
This is the new neutral palette.
And this one is beautiful.
So if you want to start anywhere and you love neutrals,
this has great textures.
There's the four shimmers and metallics.
The mattes are kind of cool to neutral.
They're very soft, very easy to blend.
There's the mattes.
Do you see how they're kind of a neutral cool tone brown?
Love those so much.
And then the lip color.
So I got the lip color number 88.
This is their creamy matte lipstick.
So these are very, very pigmented.
If you want a very creamy, highly pigmented lipstick,
you'll love these.
This person wasn't my favorite
only because I can't wear anymore
really, really saturated in color lipsticks,
but it was a beautiful formula.
It's very creamy, very easy to wear.
But for me, the pigmentation is really, really high.
But if you love that,
I really do think these are amazing quality.
They're just not personally for me,
but I want to show you some of the other colors.
So I got the new color, the red carpet red.
This is a true warm red.
It's like an orangey red.
Look at that.
So beautiful.
So I may actually try to do some tutorials with them,
but for that one specifically,
again, I do think the formula is beautiful.
He did a great job with the formulas.
If they were a little bit less pigmented,
I think they'd work for me personally,
but the colors, look at the colors.
And then the blushes.
Let me show you the blushes.
Here's the blush packaging.
It's similar to the eyeshadow palette.
It's a pretty good size pan.
This is the color second language,
which is a beautiful peachy pink color.
Isn't that gorgeous?
Let me swatch it for you all so you can see.
I'm going to use Tati's EX3 brush.
Let me show you the pigmentation.
Do you see that?
So it's a matte finish.
It's very soft, but it's not flat.
It does look like it would look beautiful on skin.
Yes, that's beautiful.
If you like a very pigmented blush,
a soft matte that still looks like skin,
blends in beautifully, I think you would like these a lot.
Look how gorgeous that is.
So they are more pigmented, which I think is amazing.
If you have fair skin, just apply it with a light hand.
And then if you want more saturation color,
just dip the brush in,
but look how pretty of color that is.
Love the formula, very soft, very smooth.
And then Natasha Denona came out
with an eye sculpt texture and tone palette.
She has two different color stories.
I got the pinks and cools here.
These are beautiful.
I've been wearing this nonstop since I got it.
So what I love about Natasha's palettes
is they have the holes in the back
so you can pop them out, you can swap pans.
I love that she has the rose.
It kind of reminds me of the old Makeup Geek Matrix system
where you had the lights to darks and the different tones.
So I do love that.
I think it's a great palette.
If you want some staple neutrals,
they're absolutely beautiful.
I love the pink tones.
Those are my favorites.
I've been wearing these nonstop.
The formula is very smooth,
just like all of her other shadows.
Look how smooth and creamy those are.
Very beautiful.
The shimmers are also really nice too.
There's just a few shimmers in here,
but look how soft they are.
They're almost like a soft satin shimmer.
So if you like shimmers that are not high shine metallic,
you want something that's a little bit more wearable
for every day.
Beautiful palette, love the packaging.
She did a great job in the design.
It has the soft close touch, very elegant, sleek.
I definitely am gonna be using this on the daily.
Then Natasha Dern also came out with her foundation.
This is the High Glam Foundation.
It's beautiful packaging.
I love that it's a soft touch cap.
Everything about the packaging is absolutely exquisite.
It's a full ounce, which is a standard size.
It's a glass bottle.
The pump works amazing.
The formula is very dewy.
So for me, I love a dewy foundation.
If you have dry to combination skin,
I think you would like this one a lot.
It's a medium pigmentation.
It blends very beautifully.
If you have oily skin,
it may be a little bit too dewy for you.
So I think it's an amazing foundation,
but it needs to be for the right person
in order for it to work.
So if you're looking for a great dewy,
medium coverage foundation, easy to blend.
It's beautiful.
Love this one so much, but it's not for everyone.
And then also this blush,
I forgot to include this one, the Glossier Cloud Paint.
I don't know if you've tried these.
Their packaging is pretty cool.
It's nothing like luxurious,
but it very much fits their aesthetic.
I love that it has the colored top.
So it matches the color on the inside.
The blush formula is very soft,
but it's very, very light pigmentation.
Let me swatch it so you can see.
Do you see how it's not much color?
So if you are fair skin, you like something very light,
not a lot of blush to the skin,
I think these would work great.
For me personally, it's not my favorite blush
just because it doesn't have enough pigmentation.
I really had to put on a good two or three coats
to get that color on.
But if you like something very, very, very natural,
which is Glossier's Cloud, then you will like these.
Also, these came out, I think, a couple months ago,
but I wanted to include it because they're new to me.
The Danessa Myricks Color Fix Stix, phenomenal.
I got the one with the purple and cream color.
Let me swatch them for you all so you can see.
So, so, so gorgeous.
I've been wearing these a lot.
Let me actually show you.
I'll tap it on my lid right now.
I like taking my finger
and just dapping a little bit on the lid
just for a little effervescent glow.
They're absolutely beautiful.
The formula is great.
Very easy to blend, easy to apply.
They don't crease.
They add just a gorgeous shine to the lids.
Phenomenal formula.
This is probably one of my favorite cream shadow sticks
on the market right now.
I think she did a great job with the packaging,
the formula, the colors, chef's kiss.
And then I don't see people talking about this.
This is not new product, but new packaging.
So Dior has new graffiti packaging for their lipsticks.
Is that not cool?
I had to order this on the Dior site.
It's not, I don't think, on Sephora yet,
but on Dior's site, it has this really cool packaging.
They had a white one, a pink one.
They had so many different options.
So freaking cute.
Of course, I would get the pink one.
Is that so me?
It says Miss Dior on there.
And then the color lipstick that I bought along with it,
because you can refill them.
You can pick out whatever lip color you want.
I will look what color I got, but I got this pink one.
I'll list it below for you guys,
but it is such a beautiful, like your lip color,
but better.
Formula is fantastic.
I love these lipsticks so much,
but the case is so freaking adorable.
