On October 3, Rotary Satellite Club in Washington DC held a presentation of the award-winning documentary State Organs.
The film follows two families in China who have been looking for their missing relatives for over two decades.
During the search, they discovered a state-sanctioned system for organ plundering aimed at a large part of the population.
That is insane. It's not some local guy in the back room somewhere in China. This is the highest level of government.
It's estimated that about 60,000 to 90,000 transplants are done a year by the CCP.
We estimate that about every 30 minutes someone is killed for their organs.
The audience said that they were shocked by the brutality and effectiveness of this violation of human rights.
Earlier this year, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously voted through the Falun Gong Protection Act,
a two-party bill that aims to impose sanctions on everyone involved in China's forced organ harvesting.
The bill is now waiting to be discussed in the Senate. If it is adopted there, it will become law as soon as it is signed by the President.
The difference is, today, while we still have time to stop this crime against humanity, we still have an opportunity to change the course of history.
