This video shows the opening battle of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, where the forces of the Last Alliance of Elves and Men unite to fight the Dark Lord Sauron. The battle takes place at the end of the Second Age, near the slopes of Mount Doom in Mordor.

Sauron appears on the battlefield wielding the One Ring, using its immense power to destroy enemies with ease. Despite their bravery, the alliance suffers heavy losses. But when all hope seems lost, Isildur, the son of King Elendil, takes up his father's broken sword after Elendil is slain. With a swift strike, Isildur cuts the One Ring from Sauron’s hand, defeating the Dark Lord. Sauron’s physical form is destroyed, and his army scatters.

After the battle, Isildur has the chance to destroy the Ring by casting it into the fires of Mount Doom. However, he is overcome by the Ring’s power and chooses to keep it. This decision seals the fate of Middle-earth, as the Ring survives and Sauron’s spirit endures, waiting to rise again.
